Our time there was cut short by the Coronavirus outbreak and Barcelona lockdown. We found everything about the hotel to our liking, all staff were extremely helpful, patient and understanding and we would certainly like to return in the future.

We stayed at the Catalonia Born just before Spain's lockdown and whilst the circumstances were far from ideal, the staff (everyone was great, but special mention to Sandra) and the environment remained helpful and welcoming.
The rooms were lovely and the location was ideal, central enough, but also just off a lovely side street.
The breakfast was very good and well worth the EUR13. The bar had an excellent range of drinks.

I don’t know where to start! Amazing staff, check in, bar and restaurant. Great pool area for sitting in the sun with your g+t. Super rooms- small but all city hotels are, very clean, lovely big bathroom with fab shower. Breakfast is a lovely treat-don’t miss out on the hot chocolate with your pastries and Bloody Mary or wine lol! I really only have one negative and it’s about the area, on the first afternoon we turned right and right again out of the hotel onto a concrete square prior to walking to ciutadella park and there were rather a lot of local spiceheads! Well, anyway, one of their dogs took a chunk out of my elderly mothers leg, police and ambulance were with us immediately and their service was second to none but a very upsetting, stressful time that has put a huge damper on a long awaited break 😡

Really nice and clean, modern hotel, in old building. Staff are great.
Wery friendly and polite. Older man in the bar was great, cheers to him. But not only him. Hole hotel staff was great, be proud of them.
I was booked normal standart room, and they upgrade me without charge. That was relly surprise for me.
Location is really good, 200m from arc the triump metro station and 400m from place de catalunya and 200m to santa caterina market. lots of nice bars &rastaurants and little shops on the neighbourhood.
