Superb

We are a family of two adults and two teenage boys. The hotel is a great little find. Going in peak season you would expect to pay a lot for a 3* hotel just outside central Barcelona. We have no problem with the price at all. The hotel has everything we need as we really only used it as a base for our sightseeing holiday. We had 4 single beds. This was great as the apartment was segregated by a hug wardrobe almost giving the feeling of having to separate rooms. Very good bathroom. Bath shower and bidet. Spotless. Sofas dining table and chairs in the lounge and a small kitchen area with fridge. Air conditioning very efficient and plenty of plugs for charging devices etc. There is a small rooftop pool with sun loungers. We used this a couple of times after long days of sightseeing. The maid comes in every day and the room was always spotless.

The hotel is centrally located near metro stops of Av. Tribidado or Vallcarca. A short tube ride to get to La Place de Catalunya. Also round the corner is a stop for the hop on hop off bus which we used on a two day pass €135. We saw lots of the city and you can get off look around then get back on. Buses run from about 730am until 930 pm.

There's a cable car which runs from the seafront to the Miramar hotel on the mountainside which is on the pricy side but gives great views over the city. There is another cable car which goes from the mountain up to the top to the castle which is another €10 each we didn't do this as too pricy in total.

Camp Nou is definitely worth a visit if you have footy fans in your group. They sell tickets outside if there are long queues if you pay by credit card you get 10% off entrance to the museum and tour round the stadium. This was a highlight for all of us. Also a surprise was the Olympic Stadium. Definitely worth a visit. It's free to go round and there are interactive sports which you can take part in like football archery boxing and many more €5 let activity or €15 for all of them. We did a couple. My son played football on the actual Olympic pitch. He was made up.

A personal highlight of Barcelona was walking around Las Ramblas. So busy and vibrant and with plenty of food on offer.

We had a great stay at Aparthotel Bertran and whilst it's not 5* luxury it was perfect for what we needed. I can find no fault at all. I broke a glass a midnight and called reception and they came straight away to help me sort clearing up. The hotel is €40 taxi from hotel but next time we would get the metro.

Had a great stay.

We were a family of 2 adults and 2 children and we rented the 3 bedroom apt. It was only for one night but we wished we could have stayed longer, we had private parking downstairs for a small fee and the kids got their own room. The apt came with a full kitchen and washing machine. It was great, when I got back to Barcelona, I will definitely be staying at this apt. Very roomy and the staff were very nice.

Fantastic place to stay!! Reasonable, clean, safe and has a kitchenette! Out of Barcelona (but only ten minutes on the metro) it is an a nice local neighbourhood and a welcome break from the busy downtown. Great deli and bakery just around the corner and a handy little shop right next door. Only a 15 minute walk from Park Guell (if you go between 0500-0800 in the morning it is free and it there is nobody there). In the other direction, a two minute walk toward Av. Tibidabo (you can also get into town from here on the train that goes from here) brings you to the Blue Tram which takes you up to the Funicular which goes to the top of Tibidabo (great views all over Barcelona) - but rather than pay for that expensive journey just jump on the bus which goes to exactly the same place and costs half the price. I would go back to Barcelona in a heartbeat....and would definitely stay at Aparthotel Bertran!

My husband and I stayed here the first week of June for 5 days in Room 308. The room was spotlessly clean, the twin beds (which we had requested) were firm and very comfortable, the kitchenette was adequate for our needs and we would definitely stay at Bertran again without hesitation. Camille, the General Manager, was very gracious and helpful as was the staff at the desk. The TV only has English speaking news stations, but what do you expect .... you're in Spain. :) I saw that one person stated the dishes in their place weren't clean and were chipped. That was not the case for us. Everything matched, including the silverware and it all appeared new. You do hear your neighbours if they are noisy, but it is quickly taken care of by the staff and they are told to be quiet and they make sure that they remain quiet for other guests. The furniture was clean and comfortable; yes, a little dated, but like I said, it was clean and comfortable. The only real complaint was that the air conditioner didn't make it as cool as what we're used to and it was a bit noisy when it would kick in, but it was tolerable. The Metro subway is only about a 5 minute walk as is The Hop On - Hop Off bus stop to anywhere you want to go. Best to buy 10 tickets at a time for the Metro as it's the cheapest way to go. There are plenty of lounges and a small pool on the roof to cool off in. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a clean, comfortable place to stay without coming home broke. We will definitely go back. Barcelona has won our hearts. (Jill Gibb - Niagara Falls, ON, Canada.) P.S. Great view of Tibadabado from rooftop, otherwise view is basically of other local apartments, but that was kind of neat anyway. :D

Room tip: We stayed in Room #306 and were satisfied. I think we were at the back of the hotel because it was relatively quiet.

Buenas tardes,

Thank you for your comments, we work hard to make our guess feeling great in the aparthotel.
Actually, i am not the General Manager, just a receptionist...
We hope to see you again next time you visit the city.

Camille.

Apartment was spacious but in need of a good clean and an upgrade. Furniture shabby dining plates chipped and needed washing before use. Some street noise if your bedroom at the front.
Plenty of hot water and free wi fi a bonus.
Area very quiet and pleasant. Transport into city easy and taxi 10 euros.

Overall service at the hotel was good, but if you go to the left hand side of the building those apartments have no elevators, so be ready to climb all the stairs when you go in and out, we had that issue in our first night but after that, they changed our room and gave us a room in the main side of the hotel and our stay was pleasant , they bring you the breakfast to your bedroom, staff is very responsive and nice.

Room tip: Quiet rooms, spacious and close to metro restaurants and shopping, the mountain of Tibidabo is an attracton close to the hotel.
