The hotels location is great if you want to be slightly out of the city. It’s a 7 minute walk to 2 metro stations where you can be in the centre within about 10 minutes. The metro does however stop at midnight on week days but runs all night Saturday so bare this in mind if you fancy staying out later as it is usual to eat 9:30/10 in Barcelona. A taxi back from Las Ramblas however was only 15€
The rooms were basic and beds comfortable which were cleaned daily however we had a temperamental remote for the television and our safe was broken, there was no locking mechanism
The lobby area appeared a nude seating space however we did not utilise this.
The pool was welcomed after hot days exploring the city however it is a small area. 14 sun loungers all across different levels therefore I took valuables like phone and purse with me when I went in the pool as you did not have sight of your belongings. The pool was cold however this was perfect when trying to cool off from the heat. The pool area does get very very popular from around 16:00 onwards with some people often sitting on the floor poolside
Lastly the hotel itself is very noisy with incredibly thin walls. Even though we did not have breakfast included we were placed next to the restaurant (poor planning) and therefore woken every day about 6:30/7:00 by staff and other guests accessing breakfast
We we’re unfortunate to have guests next to us partying into the night one evening, could hear music, singing, talking and walking around in heels however when I contacted reception they managed this immediately and the noise dramatically reduced so thank you for responding to that efficiently. Unfortunately however due to the thin walls we would still be woken at all hours by people coming in until 5am. The water system however was very loud and you would think someone was in your bathroom whoever they utilised their facilities.
