Not a quite location

Hotel lovely and very nice and clean idea location less than a 2 minute walk and you are on the famous Rambles, But the hotel over looks a square where there are a lot of homeless people hanging around outside the hotel which is annoying as they seem to be awake till the very early hours in the morning making a lot of noise and shouting and playing music. Wouldn’t stay here again for that reason

A great hotel in a really good location. We didn’t feel unsafe once and we were a bunch of young women. The room was lovely however was missing basic amenities. We had to put a deposit down for a kettle (€20) and when we got it back to the room there was no mugs so didn’t end up using it. There’s no where to put your bags and no hooks for jackets. These simple things would make this of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in, for a city break before.

Great hotel. Voted 5 stars as I feel it was great value for money. It isn’t a 5 star hotel but it gets 5 stars for what it is. The location is fantastic, literally a minute from ramblas. Yes there are some homeless people in the vicinity, that being said they aren’t sat in the hotel door way. Also it’s a city, what more do you expect? The hotel can’t control where homeless people sit, not once did a homeless person come over and bother us either. It’s so close to ramblas that you have to expect pick pockets and homeless, that’s part of a busy city/tourist area. Rooms were clean, modern. Breakfast was a continental style breakfast, they had scrambled egg, hot dog style sausages and bacon. Anyone complaining that the food wasn’t ’full English’ style, well you are in Catalan. Exactly the same if England had tourists, the tourists would be served English food. It’s part and parcel of travelling and being in another county with their culture and way of living! I would defo stop here again, the location was its main pro!

The Sant Agusti Hotel is literally steps away from La Rambla and Mercado de La Boqueria. We stayed in a triple room on the top floor. It was comfortable, clean well decorated, and has character. Good wifi and water pressure.
Negative: We could hear other guests in their rooms and could hear noise from the street.
I would not recommend getting their buffet breakfast as there are tons of places nearby to eat, including an amazing bakery across the street.
Overall a great experience and would stay there again

We are Currently staying at the hotel. The first thing that strikes you as you step out of the lift is the Pungent smell of sewerage. Then in the bedroom it's stinks of musk/damp which is not pleasant. It makes the hotel feel dirty.

We paid extra for a room over the square... what a mistake that was, as there is lots of noise from the homeless who occupy the square outside/below. Thankfully as writing the police have turned up! Thank goodness for the guarda civil.

Yes homelessness is a problem all over however if l wanted to stay in a hotel next door to a mission, I would have gone and stayed in St Mungos.

No tea or coffee facilities in the room. Refundable €20 euros for the use of a kettle....
Never in all our time staying in hotels all over the world have we been asked for a deposit for the use of a kettle. The kettle itself was filthy and would need bleaching to be viable to use.

You can hear everything in this hotel. From the suitcases being dragged along in the room upstairs to the voices next door.

Disappointing is an understatement. Don't stay here when there is so much nicer hotels nearby.

Room tip: Bring your own kettle and cups as none provided. Next you will be asked to bring your own bed, the mission might have a spare sleeping bag?
