The hotel is nice and well located. In overall the hotel is as supposed regarding the 4 stars. However, the acoustic insulation was terrible in my room. I was not able to spleep the last night of my stay.

I stayed 4 days for vacation at the hotel and loved it. My room on the first floor was small but nicely appointed and with all expected amenities of a 4 star hotel. The window was overlooking an internal patio so it was very dark but I only used it at night so it was OK for me. Quiet location, in the heart of everything and surrounded by many choices of restaurants full with locals. The service was very nice and professional. Definitely worth the money, and in a location that you should not miss.

Found the decoration very interesting and unique. Excellent staff. Great location. I stayed two nights and found it very easy to navigate through the city. Bus and metro stations are close. Tourist interest places like casa batilo are a walk away and all kind of restaurants very accessible.

Fantastic location close to public transport, restaurants and shops but far enough from the tourist hotspots if you look for a quieter place. The rooms are really nice and I loved the bathroom amenities from The White Company. My room had a rain shower over the bathtub which I really enjoyed. Also, considering I had a street view, it was great that with the windows closed you couldn’t hear a thing. The swimming pool is a great feature if you’re travelling in summer. Staff are super friendly and always happy to help. The downside of my stay was the less than satisfactory WiFi and coming back at 4 pm and finding out that my room hadn’t been cleaned yet.
Room tip: If you’re going to need good wifi during your stay you might want to stay somewhere else or make sure that your room has good signal.

What a GORGEOUS little boutique hotel!
My room was crazy cheap; £52 & I felt like I was having the experience of a £400 per night room.
If you want to impress a new partner for a wkd break, or treat Mum to a lil'deserved jaunt, but don't want to break the bank: choose Balmes.
Staff super friendly, especially manager Jorge, & Julio who went out his way (free coffee etc) to ensure i was looked after when the steam room failed to work.
I was a bit of an a-hole about an error i made/hotels.com double bkg debacle but they still treated me with respect & assisted with refund.
Only sad the 2 men on mon 10/11th at midnight didnt try & help me more with my quest to watch Oscars live: it's my Wimbledon,& i was desperate to watch Joaquin win. I told them i wld pay whatever, & cld they at least help me get Spanish pay for view on my phone, but they were reluctant to even try to help, despite my explaining how much it meant to me. This was dissappointing after the concierge standard set earlier by their colleague Julio.

Excellent room, nice 4 Star hotel, nice balcony, great service. Very central and great pool area. Felt like at home in a hotel- really special. I've been to many many hotels around the world, also 5 Star hotels, and really liked hotel Balmes.
