I stayed in this hotel with my mum and sister for 4 nights. It was an absolutely amazing experience to stay in Barcelona city. From the first minute we walked in we had lovely welcoming by the Juan Spina at the main reception desk, he explained and guided us to organise our first ever trip in Barcelona. All staff were very friendly. Hotel is spotless clean. All facilities were working properly and no issues. Very safe as you can’t get from outside if you are not guest. Very bright and comfortable rooms. Black outbuildings with heavy curtains. Very quiet street.
Towels have been changed everyday. We had kitchen appliances and all was cleaned every day by housekeepers. Housekeeping excellent too. Location 7 minutes walk from university metro station. 15 minutes to Catalonia square. Numerous bars, restaurants local, but no laud. Aldi and nice patisserie around the corner. I’m definitely recommend this hotel to stay and we will be coming back again. Thank you to all Ako suits staff our stay was excellent. At the time of leaving we must to have printed boarding passes and it was not an issue too. I wish lots of other places will be able to provide same quality service to their customers. We were very pleased with our stay at Ako Suite from the 13th to the 18th. We disembarked from our cruise in the morning. Although we arrived long before check in, we were able to leave all our luggage at the hotel and begin our 5 days in Barcelona immediately. No dragging bags about. The front staff was professional, knowledgeable, friendly and helped us navigate the Metro and gave us tips on restaurants in the area. We thought the room was very nice and kept very clean and tidy. I hope we can stay again. A very enjoyable experience. Thank you again.

We mostly enjoyed our stay here. It’s in a good location surrounded by a great selection of restaurants, cafes, shops and supermarkets and the area has a nice relaxed vibe. The staff are friendly and helpful. The pool area is nice and bigger than we expected based on some of the reviews we read here. The hotel is modern with a comfortable large lounge area and 24 hour reception and room service. The apartment is light and spacious and the main bed is comfortable. The kitchen is good with a small fridge/freezer, hob and microwave although we didn’t do any cooking so can’t comment how efficient it was. The sofa in the lounge area is not comfortable for sitting and sofa bed mattress is not very supportive for sleeping but was ok for our young child. We had a room overlooking the back of the hotel which was lovely and quiet but there was a lot of noise from other guests constantly slamming their doors and running up and downstairs all night until 6am so we barely slept for 4 out of the 7 nights and staff tried to help but the guests were too drunk to co-operate. Hopefully that was a rare occurrence and the other nights after they checked out were very peaceful. The room is fully serviced each day and the air conditioning is good which we appreciated as it was very hot and humid last week. The toilet and shower really don’t offer any privacy which was ok for us as we have a young family and we found it funny but I can see how that could be a problem for others travelling with friends or older kids so definitely ask for the rooms available with a more privately designed bathroom. We would definitely stay here again as it’s a good hotel and reasonably priced compared to others in the city and we enjoyed the location.
