To be in TripAdvisor’s top 40 restaurants in Barcelona, you have to be doing something right – and Kiltro does it in spades. We had a fantastic, laidback evening here and the food was incredibly given how cheap it was (the amazing central American flavours, pulled pork burgers, fish tacos, sweet potato bravas…not to mention the pisco sours!) The best thing, though, was the service – I can’t remember a more friendly team of waiters and chefs who raced to the bar to get us free shots when they found out it was our honeymoon. If you’re in Barcelona, you *must* visit Kiltro – you won’t regret it.

What can I say. The place is as good as ever: amazing piscos, amazing service and real quality food.

On our last night in Barcelona, we didn’t have any reservations and a last minute frantic search resulted in scoring a reservation here. I don’t mean it lightly when I say this was an amazing culinary experience and one of the best I’ve ever experienced. Just all round amazing!! The drinks were tasty. I had the Casanova and my wife had the esperanza. The food was so well balanced and flavorful. The tropical ceviche was insanely good and probably the best ceviche I’ve ever had. The arepas, pulled pork tacos and the patacones were freaking delicious. We also ordered the skirt steak which was very good as well. To top this off, the staff is very friendly, welcoming and attentive. The chef personally brings out the food at times and connects with the people in the restaurant which takes the experience to a whole different level. We had multiple conversations with him during our time there. This restaurant deserves all the rave reviews coming it’s way. It scores a 25/10 on my personal score sheet. Could not recommend it highly enough. Definitely definitely worth having a meal here.

I read the previous reviews and was worried it would not live up to the hype. I have been to many restaurants but the food was authentic and incredibly tasty. The mock-tails were special and the guys working here were so passionate about their food and it’s origins.

Fantastic food and cocktails. What else do you need. Great way to mix things up when in Barcelona. Everything that we had was super fresh and tasty. They even converted me to guacamole which my wife has been trying to get me to eat for years.
