Cozy hotel with great staff. We stayed here for 7 days, the hotel is in the centre and everything is just a walking distance away. Breakfast was ok, but can get a little repetitive after few days. But there was everything from scrambled eggs, to croissants. The staff is why we would come back again. Especially Nayden at the reception was very helpful. He helped us to arrange the COVID tests and was able to translate everything needed.
The location is really good for a city trip. The street in front is not too busy so its quiet at night but we were able to walk almost all days to the things we wanted to see/do. The room is small but they have thought about a great way to make it work. Its equipped with all you need. Breakfast was delicious with a lot of choices and fresh food. And the rooftop terrace and pool are a huge bonus! Last but definitely not least the staff made it a 5* experience. Real hospitality and always there to help and make your stay even better. Thank you REC staff and see you again!
Stayed here with my partner for a long weekend. The last trip before COVID! We got the bus from the airport and walked from Pl. de Catalunya, which took 20 mins or so with luggage. Check in was easy and they kept our luggage as we were early so we explored for a couple hours. The room was quirky, clean, and nice. There is a rooftop pool - very small but a great feature. Rooftop bar in the evening had good service but expensive cocktails. Good choice for breakfast - only continental but there was plenty! We had drinks one evening in the bar which adjoins the Rec - pricey but lovely atmosphere. We also hired the 'Donkey' bikes which were nearby and rode all around the city centre and beach front. We dined at Quillo which was on the same street and Giorgios which was a few blocks away - both had very good food and service. Also done a trip to the Zoo which was walking distance from the hotel (15 mins). I would recommend this hotel and I would stay again.
We're from Australia. We stayed at Hotel Rec in August 2019. Great location, nice room, lovely rooftop bar, terrific breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. We were booked in again to stay in August 2020. Obviously we had to cancel because of travel restrictions, etc. Despite the fact that we had received a cheap rate on the grounds that it was NON REFUNDABLE, Hotel Rec gave us a full refund, no questions asked, when we had to cancel. Great people to deal with, we hope to be able to return in the future.
During our European stay over for few days, we slept 2 nights in the this hotel and it was quite a nice experience for us. The rooms are very nice, clean, and modern. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooftop bar just topped everything off as the views and cocktails were amazing! Also, it offers very nice views of the City.
