The hotel itself was ok. I had the room paid for in advance by company with my security deposit also. All i had to cover was the pet fee.
Yeah.
I was told i had to pay by credit card. I was like I dont have one, I asked if debit is ok because they wouldnt accept cash. Ok well All i had was cash so I went to put money in the bank so I could cover the pet fee which he told me was $50 I remember it being $30 before but ok whatever.
I come back. He then tells me I have to cover a security fee and because I had more than one person there was another fee and we are now up to just under $300 that he wants. Im never booked as 1 person I dont drive 2 people 1 dog.
I do my very best to stay calm, im not a big fighter but I'm not gonna sit and deal with all the extra fees that just came out of nowhere after we were told just the pet fee. FYI the pet fee is $30 He charged us $50
Then he starts saying debit is not ok and $300 and I literally just said "I am going to pay the pet fee and nothing else" He must have seen I was going to lose my mind in about 10 seconds Because alakazam that was just fine! It was by far the worst check in experience I have had in Kamloops. Im a couple hours out of kamloops and its just easier to hotel for dr apppts. The Coast accross the street outshines them on everything.
The breakfast is good, staff there nice and helpful.
Room was clean but I wont be back.
