Stayed here as we are in the Marriott program, otherwise would have stayed elsewhere but it was just for 1 night.... Would skip this place next time, even for 1 night stay. The room was nice and clean and not too small. Comfy bed,
The location isn't so great as there is no beach here, its across the busy street from the beach. We kind of thought that they would at least have a staff at the beach and some beach chairs or something but nothing. That would make it a long week to be down at the beach, no amenities (from the hotel), etc. We sat on the beach on our towels, and used the facilities at other hotels that were on the beach. Not sure if these hotels love that - that all the Marriott guests are doing this. I think they should work something out with one of the hotels on the beach as after all, most people are here for the beach! (at least some of the time).
Aside from that, I would agree with the other comments that the staff are in the hotel, but you definitely have to ask for every little thing. Nothing is offered to you without you specifically asking. We are platinum club members (didn't stay on points), and we had to ask about early check in (wasn't available), no room upgrade was offered (didn't ask), had to ask about late check out (got that at least), no bellman, when we arrived and got the keys to the room, they didn't even direct us to the elevators so we wandered a bit to find out how to get to the rooms.
Luggage storage is in a room full of cleaning supplies by the front desk, you wheel your luggage there yourself.
I guess for the hotel one would expect just a tiny bit more effort on the part of the staff to make the stay a bit less rough around the edges.
