According to my girlfriend it was a really good and classy sushi place. Sadly because of covid it was turned into a less classy and overpriced sushi bar. The restaurant was understaffed and had to wait a bit longer for service. The sushi was good but for the price a bit overpriced.

Delicious sushi’s in an amazing place with a beautiful view of Barcelona. Situated on the top of the commercial centre Arenas de Barcelona.
Quite pricey but worth it for the quality of the dishes.

Had salmon sashimi served with a swirl of dry ice mist. What a presentation! Food was very good but the sushi chefs were not allowed to talk to us. We always sit at the sushi bar and like to talk to the person preparing our sushi and found this to be just weird.

The worst place ever to eat in. Service is really really bad, food is bad too.
The main courses for adults were served before the kid menu, they completely forgot to bring it. When it came the chicken was uncooked, still frozen. We returned it and they brought the same plate, same food, but now cold and with the cooked chicken.
No napkins on the table, only two forks for three people..
Beer was warm.
We didn’t ask even for desserts (which are included in the menu). Just asked for bill to leave. No any discounts offered in the bill 👎🏼

Worst experience ever.
If it was possible, i would give a 0/5 stars.
My fiance and I had a reservation at 9.30 pm.
First of all, the waiter took 20 min to check on us after giving the menu.
Finally after ordering, we waited 1 hour to ask to the waiter, who by the way wasn’t really nice at all, when our dish would arrive.
The waiter didn’t respond so we left.
I don’t recommend at all.

I went to this place for dinner when I was visiting the rooftop of magical Las Arenas mall. I was in mood for some Sushi but there was a guy at the entrance who asked me to try their set menu. I don't know how their Sushi is but if its good, the suggestion I was given was worst dining idea I have been given by a restaurant staff. Even if service was acceptable, I would rate it poor to average but it was worse than the food.
Anyways, I was seated to an almost empty restaurant with only one other table occupied. The set menu had almost 3-4 options for every course in a 3 course menu. I ordered Fideua for starter which is Catalan seafood variation of Paella with noodles. It came after 7-8 minutes wait and was the only borderline palatable dish on the menu. For the main course I ordered Entrecote steak which was a nightmare experience. It took 20+ minutes and then as well it was underdone, only to be sent back for 10 more minutes. The meat tasted like frozen meat for days. I don't justify ordering a steak at a Japanese advertised restaurant but my expectations were low already and it didn't even satisfy that. Secondly and strangely, why try to be Jack of all trades, better just add Sushi and Japanese specialties to main course of your set menu. Steak shouldn't be even on offer here but if you do serve it, why not some proper Sushi options which are supposedly your forte.
I couldn't eat steak and the fries were so rubbery, I didn't take the second one. I had to just end my throat irritation with the drink. I set my hopes on the dessert as it was finally an option from their main menu. I ordered the Green tea flam hoping some redemption but it tasted old and not fresh at all.
In all this bizarre experience, I have to add no staff member tried to show any interest in inquiring about my food and if I needed anything else. I asked for check, any price for such a disasterous service is punishment. I left flabbergasted knowing I would definitely need a second dinner that day.

Went for a dinner after a long day sightseeing. The staff were really inviting and friendly. We had gyoza, karate chicken, fried rice and beef noodles. All of it was lovely and the view from the top of the arenas centre was great. We were actually able to watch the magic fountain show while we ate.

Good japanese restaurant
On the terrace of a shopping center called Las Arenas we had an amazing dinner with tasty dishes in a japanese restaurant.
The views from the restaurant are great, you can see Plaza de España (Spain’s Square) and an important museum called MNAC.
En la terraza del centro comercial las Arenas de Barcelona podemos cenar en un japonés con unos platos cuidados y ricos.
Desde el restaurante hay unas buenas vistas a la Plaza de España y al MNAC

Very wide variety of options, everything we ordered was delicious. Mainly Japanese cuisine, with some Spanish dishes with a Japanese twist e.g. patatas bravas with wasabi mayo. Sangria was really good as well.
Good value for what you get
Restaurant itself was beautiful, had a good view of the castle and the magic fountain.

After a visit to the Font Magica de Montjuïc we wanted to see the views from the top of the Plaza España. You pay €1 per person to go up in the loft to the top floor. The views did not disappoint. We walked around looking at the menus and stumbled across this place. So pleased we did. The food was delicious. Being a massive fan of Wagamamas edamame beans we ordered their spicy edamame. Between the 3 of us we wolfed them down and ordered another bowl. Wish I could have brought some home!y We also ordered the avocado sushi to share. The mains my husband and I ordered the teriyaki salmon each. The salmon was cooked perfectly, it came with sticky rice and stir fried veg. Not a slither of rice was left on either plate. Our daughter had a veggie noodle dish. She selected the dish that came with beef but as she didn't eat meat they just cooked it without for her. Drinks we ordered a beer, glass of white and water. Our bill was a little over €60! Amazing. Can't wait to return to the stunning views, food and great atmosphere.

Fair Japanise on top a well known mall next to the city center. You might think it is not authentic enough for the location, but you get pretty good sushi at this place, obviously at a high price, but still reasonable for the quality.
An interesting suggestion is the sushi bridge: 33 mixed nigiris, sashimis and makis.

On a business pleasure trip to Barcelona we visited Watatsumi for an early supper and were delighted with the results! Fantastic food, good service and a lovely atmosphere. So, while a touch pricey, the investment paid off. Excellent, well prepared food made with fresh ingredients and one or two extraordinary selections that really stood out.
