We first visited the restaurant last summer a couple of times and loved it. Upon returning to Barcelona this year we couldn't wait to come back! The waiting team are all extremely friendly without being intrusive- it was lovely that they remembered us from last time and were extremely appreciatitive of our return visit.
The food is great value for money and beautifully served, the steak is a great signature dish and brilliantly served.
All in all a wonderful restaurant to visit and you won't be disappointed. We are already looking forward to returning once more.

I came here on a Friday night after playing a concert at the nearby conservatory. We were a group of eight people and I didn’t have high expectations for finding a decent place without a reservation. We were seated right away in the front patio (the inside was completely booked) and greeted by the manager who spoke to my mostly English-speaking party in English. Every single staff member came to check on us and were speedy with our requests. The oxtail was unique and delicious. The arugula salad with pears, pine nuts, and Parmesan could have been boring— but it was extraordinary. The tortilla was to die for. I have lived in Barcelona for four years, and it was one of the best tortillas I’ve had here. The wine menu is selected with care: There are decent glasses for four euros, or you can get something marvelous for 7.50. It was a great experience. Go.

We went there as a group of four and tried several things on menu: 4-5 kind of tapas - better than our last ten places; main course had, not only, beef tagliata which was perfectly cooked and spectalously served and a very balanced and tasteful beefsteak tartar. The staff recommended some marvelous wines and were very friendly (but not anoying) and careful.
To top it all, they let me, semi boozed, on their display piano.
Overall awesome experience, these guys really dedicate a lot of energy to make everything perfect.
Will definetly come back when visiting Barcelona!

I was disappointed with the service - the waiters only spoke to my boyfriend. Like I didn’t exist which I found very rude.
The cheese platter was a joke - a few sticks of cheese for the price we paid was shocking.
Overall we were both disappointed with Lokal.

What an amazing meal. Perfectly cooked steak served by staff that make you feel so welcome and know their stuff when it comes to wine choices. Can’t wait for another weekend break to return.
They specialise in quality over quantity.

We found this place while searching online for a decent place to eat. The reviews were good but the reality was way over our expectations.
The staff was kind enough to present us their wine selection and to help us choose the best wines for us. They even told us the story of each bottle: where it came from, how it was produced and so on.
We first had some tapas and then the mains. I would definitely recommend the beef tagliata which was delicious. Another surprise was the dessert: a dark chocolate ice cream seasoned with salt crystals. Salty chocolate is a mouth watering combination for me.
The service was flawless and overall it was an experience I would repeat every time I visit Barcelona.

We went there for a quick dinner of tapas on our arrival night because it was really close to our rental apartment and being jet lagged didn't want to go to far. It turned out to be quite nice, the Spanish Omelet was very good, the wine reasonable and the service very atentive . The "Pimientos de Padron" were good but a little too big to be authentic, but most people would not know the difference.
They offered us a little liquor after dinner, that was a nice touch.

We happened upon Lokal and found it to be a perfect dinner spot. The food was delicious (grilled octopus and salmon tartare, gaspacho). Local wine was great--and they are very knowledgable about their wines. They were attentive and the decor was fun and a bit quirky (the wine cello was odd, violin lamps just quirky). We rarely go back to a restaurant, but we may just do that.

Amazing live music, inspiring esthetic and relaxing atmosphere. In Barcelona, they dine after 8pm , I tried something light, black rice with seafood. I am a big gourmand when it comes to seafood , their grilled seafood has definitely one of the best taste I have ever tried.
Hamburguesa Mexicana and Veggie Burger looked really appetizing on my friends' plates. :-)
The staff is very friendly and client orientated, especially the Sommelier.
I kindly recommend this beautiful place and hope to visit it again.

Food, atmosphere, and service. Lokal Bar delivers wonderfully on.
Food: We had Crystal Bread, Goat Cheese & Pear Salad, Calamari, Tuna Tagliata, Salmon Tagliata, and Steak Tagliata..... we went twice. Everything was marvelous, but our favorite was the Tuna Tataki. Who knew that Seared Tuna and Guacamole went together to make magic?
Atmosphere: Classy and casual. Modern touches meet traditional brick and leather, then combine with excellent dinner music.
Service: Alex and Adriana were fantastic. They were attentive, friendly, and made excellent recommendations. Alex is also an outstanding sommelier. His pairing recommendation was spot on.
Do yourself a favor and try Lokal Bar. You will be very happy you did!!

We are visiting from Los Angeles & were lucky enough to come across this restaurant on our last night here. The owner (1 of two brothers, who are both so kind & welcoming) sat us near the bar & we had exceptional service the entire evening. We enjoyed every dish; our favorites were the beef tagliare & salmon tartare. However, we would recommend any of the dishes we had- Artichoke chips w/foie gras & roasted chicken croquettes were wonderful starters. Cocktails were very tasty & bartender was awesome. Also, the live music was super fun & the performer was very talented.
Highly recommend!!

Really good restaurant and not far from our hotel. Food was superb as were staff . Really nice people who went out of their way to talk to you and be helpful. My son had the steak dish on both occasions and i had the pork cheeks the second time which were outstanding on a bed of mashed potato with a hint of a spicy sauce on the side. The rioja was smooth as velvet.
A definite must if you are in the area. Bookable on line at The Fork which is worth doing

We went there as a group and everyone had a marvelous experience! Great food, every tapas and every main was absolutely delicious and you could tell that they put a lot of effort into making everything perfect! We had great wine that was also explained to us. The business is owned by two ambitious brothers who also work there, making sure everything is thouroughly done. The staff was amazing to us, they gave us some free snacks, shots and dessert. We felt super welcomed in there! The vibe and setting of the place is also very cozy and warm. I totally reccomend this place and will definetily eat there again when I come to Barcelona next! Oh, and I shouldn’t forget, they also have a piano, so my talented friend also played it at the end of the night....so quite a night, right?

We spent our first night in Barcelona here and were not disappointed! Our waiter was helpful funny and attentive. Dishes were suggested to us - the beef was delicious. There was amazing live music playing the night we visited and the restaurant had an upbeat yet relaxed atmosphere. We hope to visit again soon!

We ate here our last night in Spain. The owners are awesome. My wife got the pork cheek , don’t be afraid it was so good. This was my first beef in Spain We are from Kansas where there is lots great beef.
It was very good but the finishing touch of burning the rosemary in was fantastic de photos
