Just returned from 3 days in Barcelona with our 3 & 5 year olds. On our second day we went on the open top tour bus (green route) and arrived at the wonderful Sagrada Familia. With such young children when you want to stop for a snack you need somewhere that is clean, comfortable and accommodating for children. I suggested to my wife we look for somewhere not so central to Sagrada Familia for 2 reasons really, cost (expected everything to be very expensive around there) and quality (expected everything to be rushed). With hungry children we opted to try Casa Angela. When we sat outside Casa Angela we were greeted straight away by a friendly waiter given menus and had our drinks order taken. We only had a quick nibble as it was mid morning and had ensalada rusa, calamari, chips (something to keep the kids happy) and bread. When I went in to the bar area I noticed the cold shelf and with every Spanish tapas bar I always have a look to see what they have on offer. They had a selection of marinated fish so I asked for a portion of the salmon. This was incredible!! It was marinated in soy, sesame and oil with a hint of chilli. The salmon was so soft and delightful. I wished that we could have stayed for lunch but will definitely be back when we return to Barcelona. We decided to get an ice cream in the park opposite for the kids and wished we had stayed at Casa Angela as the kiosk in the park was the most unwelcoming place we had been to in Barcelona!!

Great little place, arrived in hotel, was starving and went to another place but left as we never got served, glad we did! Came back to this place and was straight in, served straight away with friendly face. Food arrived quickly and tasty, can recommend the grilled aubergine! Good location, good food and good price. Would return again.

I had my last morning coffee in Barcelona at this place and I still think it was the best choice I could ever make.
Although the place is too crowded due to the very popular with tourists Sagrada Familia landmark, the cafe was cozy and with great view of the park and the church.
Perhaps a bit more expensive than the other places around where you can have a quick coffee, but the service is good and the view amazing!

The restaurant came with good reviews and didn’t disappoint. The tapas looked great as did the rices. We actually chose a burger (been eating tapas/pinxtos/rice for 9 days now) and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. Excellent service and a great spot to look at all the small details of the south west side of the basilica.

We went there reccomended by a friend who told us they do an exquisite paeilla.
And it was as expected. We had some tapas as starters and the paeilla as main course. All was delicious.
We enjoyed the food and the price wasn't bad for being Barcelona.
I strongly reccomend it. Little tip, go on non usual turist hours, is less crowded

I have been in Barcelona for a long weekend and have never been so rudely treated!! They ignored us when we asked for a drink then brought the wrong one!! They then proceeded to continue the disgusting level of service when we had to send cold food back. Staff and Manager wouldn't know decent customer service if it came up and introduced itself to them. AVOID!!! beautiful location but not worth the shocking rudeness from Staff and poor inadequate food standards!!!

Ordered the Iberian pork. The plate was tiny and came out uncooked. Totally disgusting. Asked them to take it away to cook it properly which they did and got it back it was awful. Utterly shameful to serve this type of food up and expect to pay €16 for it. Do not come to this etablishment.

One of the best paellas in Barcelona if not the second after my father’s one. Friendly people serving and tasty paella, well balanced price-quality. Great views of Sagrada Família. The only thing missing is more variety of wines in the less pricey range.

We ate there the evening of the day we arrived. Great place to relax after a long flight and a day of touring. We had a pitcher of Sangria and Chicken Paella which was very tasty, all while gazing at the Sagrada Familia. Such experiences are why you travel!

A nice tapas place near the Sagrada Familia. The food was good — mushroom and squid croquettes, anchovies and escalivada were very tasty. But the service sucked! There was only one poor guy serving in the entire place. Prices were moderate.

Very helpful staff and good food. Very attentive service to our family with little ones. Not easy to find a good restaurant with delicious food, early opening time for lunch and great service near Sagrada Familia

We were looking for a fish meal and were not dissapointed. The cod was delicious and had a lovely vegetable accompaniment. We ended the meal with a chocolate volcano and locally made ice cream that I would definitely also get again. The service was superb and the location was across the street from Grasada Familia - what more could one ask for? They have a lovely bar area and just two doors down is their restaurant...visit both!

We were short of time before our tour of the Sagrada Família so needed somewhere close for a light bite. We weren’t disappointed as the service was friendly and food arrived quickly. Our favourite dish was the octopus with potatoes.

We had a great time and service at Casa Angela Tapes! The food was great plus we sat outside to see the view of la sagrada familia. Cesar was extremely kind and even offered to pay for our croqueta chipirons if we did not like them (we did! Get them-> fantastic!)

We had coffee here before visiting Sagrada Familia and we needed a beer and a snack afterwards and they had tables in the sun do we returned. I'm normally sceptical of anything close to a major tourist attraction but the service and food here was excellent. We had some of the tastiest food here that we've had in Spain. The food coming out to other tables looked great too. If you're travelling they also have guest WiFi.
