This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel concierge as a great place where local Catalan food is served to locals mainly. Off the tourist beaten track as well. He wasn't wrong. The food was amazing. I had snails to start and I'd say that I should have chosen the half size portion as the large size was huge but so tasty. My partner had the goats cheese salad which was also huge. I then had the stew, I think it was the oxtail stew and the good lady had the baked cod. We didn't get any extras but I would recommend ordering some as our dishes were light on veg and cards. In all this was a lovely restaurant, the serving staff were really friendly and helpful. It is a little out of the centre of the city but worth a taxi ride all day long. A great recommendation by the hotel and we'd go back.

It is a place with nice atmosphere, well decorated, where they serve good catalan food, traditional food. They got nice squid with potatoes, patatas bravas, creme caramel combined with excellent wines at correct prices.
The only thing is that the owner-manager is very well known in the neighborhood as a despotic- rude- person who does not listen any customer. All that arrogance is just unaceptable. Staff were not professional, although that, we will come back again.

I have been many times in Barcelona but this was my first dinner at Casa Jordi. They absolutely met our expectations in anyway. Food quality was excellent, staff very professional and friendly. The location is not in the busiest part of Barcelona but still very close from the centre (e.g.Paseo de Gracia). It is no wander that we were the only foreigners at the restaurant that evening, all other guests seemed to be local and from what I could say the food was local and authentic. I highly recommend Casa Jordi to all visitors who would like to have a good local experience.

My friend and I had dinner here on September 14th and ordered Esparragos Blanco Cojonudos, Pimientos Del Padron, Arroz Pilaff, Suquet De Rape, Lenguado Al Cava, Tarta Tatin and Coca de Crema de la Casa. It was ALLdelicious. The service was great and the atmosphere very comfortable. Check it out. It won't disappoint.

This is a top traditional Catalan cuisine restaurant. It is located in a nicely renovated passage, with a clasic atmosphere inside. Food is just amazing, there is a wide offering, high quality ingredients and a perfect Cooking. It reminds me the lovely home Cooking of our grandmothers. Their ‘perdiu’ was outstanding, best in class. Their ‘Cargols a la llauna’ were delicious. Service is friendly an quick.

It is one of the best traditional food restaurants in Barcelona, located in a very beautiful place in the city. The product offered there is above average without a doubt. It is an exceptional product, cooked with great love and using authentic Catalan recipes. The treatment that the service gives you is very professional and friendly at the same time, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. It is worth visiting this restaurant if you visit Barcelona, for me one that you cannot forget.

We were here with a group of 15 people. We all enjoyed the food and wine experience very much. Nice staff and good local Spanish food. Amazing Sirloin steak and sauce with it!

5 stars says everything.
Recommended by a local colleague the expectations were high. And we were not to be disappointed. Fantastic authentic catalan kitchen, huge vararity in fish and vegitables. The meat dishes have to wait for a second visit. The recommended wines were superb. The service timely, friendly and do I have to mension - outstanding. Value for money in faveur of the client.Casa Jordi will get the best recommendations.

The atmosphere, decor, food, and service make for an enjoyable experience.
An example of good customer service: we arrived at the restaurant 45 minutes before our reservation, and the restaurant was not open; however, an elegant lady came to the door and explained to us that the restaurant was closed. What is significant about that? Well, my hubby and I have arrived too early at other restaurants and experienced low-level of rudeness. Okay, we're a bit retentive about being on time, but that's no reason for rudeness - the apparent attitude that the customers are intruding on the restaurant personnel. So it is wonderful when we experience good customer service.
The wait-staff is superb. Again, the elegant Spanish lady, who may be manager (or owner) is gracious. There is a Spanish male, who may be manager (or part owner), he tends to have a bit of aversion to foreigners - he isn't as polite as everyone else: and because of him I gave four stars, instead of five stars.

This place is very nice if you want to have typical Spanish food in a old fashion restaurant. The decoration is very traditional but very nice. The food is very high quality and they serve fresh fish nicely cooked. We have been to this place several times now and it never disappoints!

I went there yesterday with colleagues from Germany and Sweden.We really enjoyed this epicurean experience.
We felt very welcome,had a nice and quiet table so we have been able to discuss our business topics.Service was impressive,fast,pleasant and in English as well so it made my colleagues at ease to select their dishes. Very good advices and typical local delicious cooking that we enjoyed a lot.
Some nice wines that allow relevant wine pairing.We will come back as soon as we travel again in Barcelona!!

Good fare here and just as good service. It’s a good and safe option and has a nice ambience - typical Catalan countryside cooking. Comfort food. Oxtail stew was fab, the chuleton and solomillo fantastic. Thumbs up - it’s as good as it was more than 15 years ago when we last dined here.
