Coco's Cabañas is located 5 minutes walking distance to the beach or 3 minutes by bike (free). It is a 3 star hotel, small and cozy retreat, along the Mexican Caribbean, Riviera Maya, 6 km from Playa del Carmen. It has only 6 private bungalows, each with private bath room,A/C,Ventilator,TV,Terrace and thatched palm roof. Two of the bungalows have Queen size beds, a Queen Boutique cottage with Queen bed, one with King bed and two Junior Suites with King bed, kitchenette, and futon to sleep an extra person. All bungalows have air conditioning, TV / DVD, full bath, closets and soothing ceiling fans. All bungalows have hot water and 110v electrical outlets. Other amenities include an international restaurant (including a wood fired Pizza oven ), bar, a beautiful pool, laundry, public shower, hammocks, tropical gardens and private parking. Cocos Cabañas is the perfect "love nest" for couples who want a cozy and romantic paradise. We also have a new Beach Club"Selvamar"next to us .

Fresh Whole Fish excellente

Fresh Whole Fish excellente ! We went to Cocos restaurant twice while staying at Royal Haciendas. First time by car was something of an adventure with many twists and turns on the road off the highway. Access from beach is also a challenge - call ahead for directions. Ambiance, food and friendly staff make it worth the trip. We enjoyed the whole fried grouper and boquinete as well as the Picanha steak (like ribeye) for reasonable prices of US 20-25. Marco and Veronica were gracias hosts.

We have been coming here for three years. We always receive such a warm welcome and excellent service and cuisine made with only the freshest ingredients. Prices are excellent - Carpaccio of Octopus for $12. Delicious brick oven pizza for $5-7. Fabulous atmosphere. All outdoor intimate seating beside a tiny pool. Fabulous cocktails for $5-7. What more can I say? See you next year!

I celebrated my 50th birthday

I celebrated my 50th birthday at Coco’s with a delicious Mango margarita and scrumptious lobster! My hubby had the stuffed fish with shrimp and crab. Very delicious. We went back next day for late lunch. Sylvia the owner was so sweet, she gave us a ride back to our hotel because she felt bad that we spent $14 for taxi that took us less than a mile. You can get there from beach but it was already dark. This place is a bit hidden but worth it. All the food being served that nigh looked really good. We definitely will go back.

Best pizza I have ever eaten!

This was our third time at Coco’s restaurant in the past three years. We were staying at a hotel nearby and almost all the guests staying there have eaten here in past visits or we’re planning to come on their current trip. ALL raved about not only the food, but also the ambience of this “hidden gem”. And by hidden, I am referring to the fact that it is a little hard to find, since beach access has been kind of cut off. We came with another couple, who have been coming for years, and we all were warmly greeted by owner Slyva. We arrived for lunch and ordered a couple of there many wood fired pizza options, and a fresh lobster dish, margarita’s and white wine, all AMAZING! We will definitely come back!

A Little Piece of Heaven

Amidst one of the most difficult times in history we felt as if we had discovered a little piece of heaven that delivered great food. We tried the Ceviche, the pizza, and Fresh Lobster. The pizza was one of the best pizza’s I have ever had in any continent that I have traveled to. (It even tasted deliscious the next day. As if it kept on getting better with time.) The lobster was fresh and delivered on time as promised. The ceviche even had peaches mango, mahi mahi, plus other ingredients that made it tasty, fresh, and the best I have tried.The staff was kind and supportive and went above and beyond to please us even though it was through the telephone. As I said on the title it was like finding a little piece of heaven that delivered outstanding food. :)

One of the Greatest Restaurants in Playa!!!

I have been coming to Coco's Cabanas for several years and it just keeps getting better and better. I recently brought some family and friends who had never been to Coco's before and what a great time we had!!! Coco's is located in the jungle by Xcalacoco beach and it is a hidden oasis with several beautiful cabanas and a very nice pool. The staff and owners are all very friendly and so attentive you will always have a great time. But one of the real stars is the food. Always fresh, well prepared and proudly served with a smile. The pizzas, steaks, fresh seafood and pastas are always consistent and so delicious. This night, I had the grilled lobster served over fresh pasta and it was one of the best meals I have ever had! The tropical drinks and deserts are also wonderful. If you are in Playa, do yourself a big favor and make the trip to Coco's Cabanas. It will become one of your favorite places!!! They are also very conscious about covid-19 protection.

Expected more.

Expected more. This place seemed to have great reviews, so decided to give it a go. Service was good, but food left much to be desired. Doesn’t feel as if they locked down the type of cuisine they serve. I ordered a chicken breast that was supposed to be “Mexican style” but it came with mozzarella cheese on top. Did not have pizza so can’t speak for that, but the things I did try were mediocre at best. Also, it was unnecessarily expensive.

Amazing restaurant you MUST visit.

We've eaten at Coco's several times, and it's one of our favorite restaurants. The food is delicious and the prices are reasonable. The dining area is a combination of poolside, open-air and covered, with fans and comfortable seating. They serve complimentary chips with four different yummy salsas for starters. I'm vegetarian, and though the menu doesn't have a large selection of options, I just ask for vegetarian fajitas, and I am never disappointed. Each time they are a little different, but always delicious, and the portion is big enough for leftovers. The Margaritas are very good too! The staff is friendly and the service is fast but we never feel rushed. Mario is a fine waiter, patient and funny, always quick to bring whatever more you might need. Finally they have great entertainment! Last night we took salsa lessons from Diana, and had a delightful time. We had so much fun that we came back for a second night and they had a terrific sax player who entertained us with wonderful music. Do yourself a favor-put Coco’s cabana’s on your list of wonderful places to visit in Playa!

Wow! An amazing meal

We went to this restaurant last year when we stayed in Playa del Carmen. It was a favorite then and we returned to see if anything was different. It was an absolute pleasure. Our server, Mario was excellent. Funny, great English, and was very personable. I ordered the Stuffed Fish and my husband had the Seafood Cordon Blu. The Stuffed fish was amazing. The flavors were buttery, and silky, and the fish was cooked perfectly. I usually don't order fish in restaurants but was so glad I did here. We had a bottle of Pinot Grigio to go with our dinner and it paired beautifully. We only had 9 more days in Playa and we will be returning again at least one more time to have this dish again. Even my husband wants to order it next time. The ambiance and mood of the restaurant makes for a nice casual romantic evening.

We have been to coco’s ten times within the month that we’ve stayed in playa del carmen. It is simply that good. They have a wonderful atmosphere and the most delicious food. Service is incredible and the waiters are always happy to give you advice on the menu. The owner is so kind and so is everyone else who works here. We have not had a bad visit. Every single time the food is incredible and every different dish has its own specialness. We cannot recommend this place enough. The mixed ceviche is the best we’ve had in all of playa del carmen and Cozumel. If you love good food you must come here!!!

Fabulous food

Had two meals at this great little place. Fresh snapper was outstanding Pizza for lunch, was very good If you are near this place, check it out and enjoy Marco's service. Did not stayed at the place so I can't comment on accommodations. Looked good from the outside

Best Fish Meal in Mexico!

We have been vacationing in the Cancun – Playa del Carmen area for 20 years. This year we had the good fortune of discovering Coco’s Cabanas, and we are so glad we found this superb restaurant. The Filete de Pescado Relleno is the best fish meal we have ever eaten in Mexico, and we have had some great meals over the years. The signature Silvia’s Margaritas are also outstanding. Having the opportunity to walk on the beach from our resort to the restaurant also added to the charm of our experience. Our waiters Giovanni and Jose Luis were friendly and attentive, and it was a treat to be able to visit with Silvia, the owner. We had three wonderful meals at Coco’s Cabanas during our visit this year and plan to have one more lunch there before returning home later this week. We will be back on our next vacation!!

Great Food in Quaint Setting

Sunday night this quintessential restaurant has a saxophone player formerly from vegas. The specialty food is fish stuffed with crab scallops. The pizza are brick oven style. The food is very good. The special margarita could use orange liquor (domestic). Nice change of pace restaurant!

Delicious Christmas dinner

We had an incredible dinner experience at Coco's Christmas eve .The atmosphere was perfect soft music Christmas decorations everywhere and filled with happy people . Now the food , a traditional turkey and ham dinner with all the trimmings cooked perfectly .The carrot soup starter wow so good, next came their famous salad ,always great . The turkey so tender as was the ham ,stuffing delish, sauteed green beans and sweet potato puree with toasted nuts yumm . At home I would have licked the plate to get every drop of their gravy and next dessert chocolate cake with whipped cream perfect . This is a must visit restaurant ,the servers are very attentive and friendly, Silvia the owner greets everyone like family .

Very cute place! The food

Very cute place! The food and service were great. Would highly recommend. All dishes were perfectly prepared and very tasty! Marco at the restaurant was attentive and entertaining and Jessica the online agent was helpful when we left something at the restaurant and when making the reservation.
