    Beautiful views
Beautiful views and several options to pull over and enjoy the scenery and take pictures. Certainly not extraordinary views but yet very nice and isolated. Several small towns on the way for snacking etc.

    Beautiful scenery
Unless you hike, camp, cycle or other outdoor activities, it's basically a scenic road trip done in a day. Skyline trail was underwhelming, although a pleasant walk. Lots of great seafood restaurants enroute. Not a bucket list destination.

Beautiful drive and lots to explore
Some beautiful views along the way and an overall nice drive. We came just as the leaves were beginning to change and I can imagine it would be glorious in peak. Plenty of places to stop along the way although many close after the summer season.

    The long way around...
Be prepared for the 184 mile loop around the island because once you start there's only one way out! Gas up, bring water and snacks too - a lot of places were closed. There are places to stop along the trail, for overlooks, hiking, etc. Ingonish Beach was a nice place to rest. The Lone Shieling Hike is a very short path, nice place to stretch your legs if you're not a serious hiker. Bog trail Hike also is along a wooden boardwalk. Bring the bug spray!

    Stunning
We did the entire trail from one end to the other and absolutely loved every second of it. A must see for sure. A well maintained roadway that offers many (many) scenic stopping points and places for everyone to get out and enjoy the views. We spent an entire day taking our time and appreciating the views / geography of the area.

    Beautiful Drive
My husband and I drove much of the Cabot Trail at the end of April. It's a long drive, but very beautiful with mountains and coastline. Part of the trail includes Cape Breton Highlands National Park. A few towns with very expensive gas and food options are along the trail. Some construction is going on and not always the best road conditions.

    Cabot Trail Experience
The Cabot trail is an absolute MUST SEE! As you drive you go from ocean views, forests, bogs, and waterfalls! You will not regret any moment you spend on the driving trail. You absolutely MUST stop at each of the overlooks, and try to incorporate as many of the trails as possible. We stopped and did the Bog trail, Benjie's Lake, Macintosh Brook, and the Jack Pine Trail! Each one was a completely different experience, and we loved each one of them! :) You should definitely take the time, stop at the Cheticamp Visitors center which is beautiful, and has a great giftshop, picnic area, etc.

    Lovely Day
First of all we had a lovely sunny day to do the trail so that makes a huge difference. The staff in the visitor centre didn't seem quite so helpful/ knowledgeable with their suggestions of what to see & I felt quite rushed. This is a shame as a first time visitor relies on their local knowledge. The roads inside the park were fairly good but outside it were quite poor We did the Skyline Trail out & back & enjoyed it. We did the Bog Trail which we really liked & we finished with the MacIntosh Brook Trail which takes you to a nice waterfall, more than enough for a 67 & 70 year old. We didn't think the lookouts were as good as the Fundy Trail Parkway. We didn't see any wildlife at all all. That said we had a great day.

    A must do experience
I’m so glad we had the chance to experience this amazing trail! The views are beautiful. We spent 2 days working our way through the trail with hiking stops and an overnight stay. Some things to note: take advantage of the look outs, we only did a couple but they were always worth it. Gas and food options are very limited, make sure you plan ahead. Also be aware you will have no cell service at times. Would highly recommend to everyone.

    Magnificent!
This drive has been on our bucket list for years, and it did not disappoint. This is one of the most beautiful drives, and we loved being able to stop and hike along the way. We did the 10 trails in one day, and that was fun. We found the people delightful and friendly. You can't beat the scenery here, which is remarkably beautiful. This is one of our favorite places.
