Greatly enjoyed our week long stay with True Blue Bay Boutique Resort while diving with Aquanauts Grenada. Great food and fantastic nightly entertainment. We highly recommend this resort. Located on lagoon a very short and convenient drive from airport.

Everyone at the True Blue is there to make your stay the most enjoyable time. The rooms are big enough clean and well maintained Good water pressure and all are efficiency units. There have a good restaurant and bar. There are daily events and 4 pools. If you dive there is a dive shop on premises. The spa is wonderful. One downside is beach access, none at resort but they will drive you to beach and pick you up. Close to St Georgeā€™s University (10 minute walk)call or email for discount rates for students and families (also perspective students) Close to airport Ask about their EcoGreen rooms

The cocoa pods were impressive with 2 floors. The room has a fridge, oven and microwave so you can cook if you want. The pools are small but clean. We ate at the restaurant I believe the name was doggy dock. The fritters on the menu was an appetizer were great, The food was good but the service was slow. The drinks were just okay. I am not sure of the quality of the liquor. We paid an extra $80 for all inclusive which was worth it. It is $1 Canadian for every $3EC. Our bill for dinner was $300EC so the $80 for all inclusive was totally worth it. We also ate breakfast. The birds were a bit annoying so you have to cover your plates with your napkins. The fruit was very tasty. Overall it was nice. The service was good as well except at dinner. They have pet cats. The couple that own it are lovely. Their boutique is also good and not overpriced. It is also close to the airport. You need to arrange your own taxi though to the resort. The beach is trolley small and part of the resort is on a small marina, you can arrange boat rides from that marina.

We loved our stay at True Blue!
The staff were extraordinary. Everyone was so friendly, and helpful and treated you like family.

We stayed in an Indigo room. The room was spacious and beautiful and smelt fantastic. Gilchrest and Somes toiletries were great. Housekeeper Rhonda took pride in her work. We especially enjoyed the breeze on our private balcony. The USB plugs on both sides of the bed and both 220 & 110 outlets were fantastic.

The grounds were beautifully maintained and we enjoyed many of the lovely spaces and 4 pools. The restaurant was very good. The supper menu changed daily with theme nights. We especially enjoyed Street Vendor Night.

Daily shuttles to a variety of beaches were a fantastic touch and more than made up for their limited ocean front

We highly recommend this beautiful spot.

Please visit us again sometime. We would love to have you back with your True Blue Family.

Stayed at Blue Bay Resort for one week with a group of friends 18 in total, we stayed on an all inclusive basis and accommodation was in a fabulous wooden ski style chalet sleeping 6 of us.

The rooms are spacious, well equipped and very clean.

It really is a small quite resort with two small swimming pools and no real beach to speak of but plenty of relaxing areas.

The bar area is good with plenty of seating and great views of the sea good choice of drinks.

The breakfast is buffet style and pretty limited but is sufficient, with dinner and evening meal you are served and choose from the menu which again is limited and the same for both meals.

Itā€™s worth noting that both the bar area and restaurant are open to the public.

The staff at the resort were fantastic very friendly and obliging they really couldnā€™t do enough for you

Having stayed at the Radisson on my previous visit to Grenada, I truly looked forward to this trip to be able to make a comparison. We stayed at a Villa over the carnival holiday. The location of the Villas are quite convenient to Dodgy Dock and the Front Desk. Keep in mind this was set up more like an extended stay hotel. Basic items such as paper towels and trash bags for the kitchen were not provided during our stay.

The grounds are well maintained and the staff is typically friendly. The villas are setup in a split level format in that the rooms are at the lower level and the living areas are on the upper level but you enter from the middle or directly into the room. Keep in mind that all doors that lead to the exterior including the one in the room will lock behind you, so your key card is needed at all times. A nice touch to the villa was the ability to connect to the surround sound bluetooth system for entertainment.

The restaurant will deliver quite quickly to your room when ordering room service. There is a typical fee attached to this service, from what I recall it was around $10EC. Note that on Wednesday night there is an awesome street food festival that is open to the public at the resort. If you are staying at the villas, the back entrance gate will be closed during that event so you cannot access this area by car.

What could change my review from a 4 star to 5? The showers are spacious but still use shower curtains. A little modernization can go a long way. Our water heater went out on a Tuesday night right as we needed to shower for bed. We had to call for maintenance 3 times, they finally showed up around 9AM this next morning to address the issue. I would have been completely ok with realistic expectations from the front desk and not being told that someone was on the way when they knew staff was unavailable.

Overall, the pros outweighed the cons and I would certainly consider staying here again.

Thank you for your lovely review, we appreciate the time taken for this write-up. I'm glad you had a good overall stay. We will definitely bring the maintenance issue up to our managerial team to make sure this does not happen again. Also, we are pleased to tell you that all our villa bathrooms will be getting redone in the coming months! We hope you can come back soon and see the changes we would have made. Thank you again for your review.

My stay was organised really well. I loved the calm and relaxing atmosphere of my room with its huge comfortable bed/linen and balcony overlooking the sea with views of yachts and the bay, plus the resort has clear COVID protocols which was reassuring. The room service and drinks I ordered from the restaurant were fresh and delicious. I also ordered yummy cakes, chocolate and ice-cream from the on-site bakery and liked that you could make coffee or tea in your room with its little kitchen, fridge and kettle. You never felt alone as the kind and friendly staff were at the end of a phone at all times. It was a simple process to have the COVID test done onsite and you get your results back in a few days. Nice that the hotel supplied hand sanitiser and a mask for your return to the outside world!
I was sad to leave.

Our family of six stayed in two rooms (one Cocoa Pod and one Villa) for five nights over Christmas. The hotel decorated pretty extensively for the holiday, which we appreciated. The hotel staff is delightful, greeting you with a smile every time you pass them on the grounds. On the nights we were in the room for turndown service, the woman who came by was very friendly.

The rooms are comfortable and clean, but if your group can fit I recommend the Cocoa Pods. We stayed in the Villa to have the full kitchen and gathering area, but they are in serious need of refurbishment. Our Villa was large, comfortable, and clean, but there were lots of little things that didn't work or needed work (for example, the shower head in our kids' bathroom was so corroded hardly any water came out, the wood around the tub in the master bath was rotting, the canopy on the master bed was falling down). The Cocoa Pods are a lot newer and nicer. We also had issues in the Villa with no hot water and sometimes no water at all.

The property has several really nice pools, we tended to stay in the one outside the Villas, which had a negative edge into the bay. Very pretty.

The onsite dive shop was super-convenient and top notch. See separate review.

We rented a car for our stay and thought the location of the resort was perfect. We were ten minutes from the airport, about ten minutes from Grand Anse, and 15 minutes from Fort George. The island can be a bit difficult to navigate, there is a remarkable lack of signage, but once you figure it out it's easy to get from the resort to other sights. There is plenty of parking at the resort, we were able to park right outside our Villa. The resort is pretty quiet in the evenings, which we appreciated.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

My wife and I have been fortunate to travel extensively for nearly sixty years, from basic village rooms (very basic) to top end hotels (very 5 star, very expensive) but very, very occasionally up pops a hotel that just has something a little bit magical about it.
The True Blue has this in spades, lovely grounds, lovely views and the friendliest staff on the planet. It is true that service is very slow on some occasions (just relax and go with the flow) and there are clearly some supply problems across the island, which we also experienced on our BA flight and at our Gatwick hotel so it is international and I think we will have to live with it for some considerble time to come.
We had a waterfront suite with bedroom and bathroom upstairs and living room and mini kitchen downstairs, both had large furnished balconies with views over the marina and bay. It was showing signs of wear in places and the open sided stairs would probably give a UK health and safety officer heart palpitations but well worth the additional cost for the feeling of space and the views. We would also recommend the 'All Inclusive' option. We celebated our 56th wedding anniversary during our stay and returned to our room to find the bed decorated with petals and a bottle of bubbly to enjoy.
There are three special nights each week - Mexican, BBQ and Street Food, all with live music. The 'Street Food' night has numerous dishes to try from the various vendors and is very busy and great fun, it is included on the 'All Inclusive' plan. Ask reception to reserve a table for you so that you are guarantied somewhere to sit.
The infinity edged pool also has a bar which opens 11.00 (ish) to 19.00 (ish) It is well stocked and Joy can mix you up some pretty good cocktails from alcohol free right up to WOW !!!
If you like to read on holiday there is a well stocked library in the reception area.
Grande Anse beach is well worth a visit, there is free transport twice a day - book it through reception and various day and half day trips can also be arranged with them.
So there it is, we had a perfect holiday, a big thank you to all of the staff at True Blue that worked so hard to ensure that our stay was truly memorable.

We loved our hotel stay it was amazing! We stayed in the Coco Pods and loved the modern touch of it, it was very spacious and the bed was massive! We loved that it also came with a tiny kitchen.
The staff were very friendly and accommodative. The entire resort was quite small and cute but we loved that it was a tight knit family owned, it gave it more of an authentic stay.
Our stay included breakfast which was amazing, especially if you love Caribbean food. The only disadvantage were the birds in the morning that had to be shoo'd away but that's nature for you!
There was entertainment every night available with dinner. There were two different types of pools, one mimics a beach and one a regular swimming pool.
The closest store is about 10minute walk from the hotel otherwise there is a massive supermarket opposite the beach which you can catch the shuttle bus to. I would recommend renting a car to get around to explore the island but we were quite lucky as my boyfriend has family in Grenada who took us around the island.

No but there is access to a Bay Area/lagoon, you canā€™t really swim there but you can sit by the water. There is a beach themed salt water pool overlooking the bay But to get to the beach there are free shuttles twice a day to Grand Anse beach. They drop you off right at ā€œUmbrellas beach barā€ which is steps away from the beautiful beach. If I remember the time correctly it was 10AM and 1PM to go to the beach I canā€™t remember the times to return
