Detailed Reviews
We were just looking for an inexpensive overnight in Fenlon Falls en route and booked this without a lot of expectations. The room was super-clean (very reassuring in these Covid times) and well stocked with coffee, tea, toiletries, and lots of towels. The bed was comfortable, AC and wifi worked great, and it was convenient to have the mini fridge. Good value. Also the owners are very friendly. We would stay here again.

Cute place! It’s clean and eclectic. I would recommend to stay here. We had the king bed room and it was great. Very roomy. They were super helpful and accommodating. All conveniences are there, fridge, microwave, coffee pot. The pool was closed which was a bummer.

We were looking for something to do/somewhere to go for the Canada Day long weekend. Lots of places were booked and this came up as a suggestion. It was fine for our needs. We spent the weekend in the area and basically came back to sleep. 2 decent beds, pillows were super puffy but soft. Portable A/C unit and ceiling fan kept the room OK but super humid. Very low water pressure and took a long time to get hot water going, but shampoo, towels, hair dryer included. Pool was not open but I didn't ask why. Lots of picnic tables and tents in the front yard and some BBQ too. Valient attempt to update the place. Very nice hosts.

A group of us booked several rooms and found the rooms are all very clean with microwaves, fridges and coffee makers.
The owners are very friendly and welcoming-they are working hard to update the hotel.
As the weather was hot and sticky, we appreciated the air conditioner!!
If we have reason to be in the area again--we will certainly feel confident to use this hotel again.
A great value.

Rooms are extremely clean with fridge, microwave and coffee maker (takes pods or there is a filter for your own per cup coffee) The owners are probably the most friendliest people we have ever met. They are working very hard to update the motel. Lots of tables, chairs and picnic tables, along with BBQ’s that are for the guests to use.

Although the terribly nice owners have moved mountains to take a run down hotel look presentable, there are structural things that still need attentio:
Almost no water pressure, little hot water, paper thin walls - which allow for no privacy from other guests, windows that have been painted shut, toilet that sits smack against the wall making it impossible to use, and creaky, uncomfortable beds.
Considering we paid about $120 per night, it is not good value for the money.

Stayed for 2 nights and had booked all available rooms for a family reunion. Had an absolutely wonderful time!!! Pool was nice and refreshing and staff were very helpful. Plenty of room for outside games and adjoining property has a really good place to eat. Great place for a family reunion and will almost likely make this our yearly location. The location of this motel allows for family to sit around a bonfire at night and enjoy music without disturbing others. Fire pit was far enough away that music didn't bother anyone who wanted to go to bed early. Although the motel is dated and tired looking, all rooms were clean and comfortable for sleeping.

Great place for family get-togethers!!! This is our 3rd year and although this is an old motel the new owners are really nice and trying very hard to breath new life into this place.
Rooms are absolutely spotless and the owners go above and beyond to ensure you are comfortable. The pool worked the first year and was great. My family books all of the rooms and therefore have no complaints when we sit up lake at the bonfire listening to music. We are very hopeful that next year the pool will be functioning again it is really needed to keep the youngs entertained. This motel has improved immensely since our first year there.
A big thanks goes to the new owners Meggie and her family for making our family weekend special.

Newly renovated motel - outside old but the rooms are great! Nicely decorated and clean, comfy beds and pillows, nice toiletries and fluffy towels. Fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee machine. Management is very happy to help, they went out of their way to mail us our i-Phone charger, which we had left behind! Many thanks!! Our stay exceeded our expectations!

+1
We arrived at night... no lights on the sign by the highway, and minimal lighting on the motel. We passed by it twice before we realized that we were there.
This is an older motel which hasn't been maintained in a professional manner and very run down.... very different than the internet would lead you to believe.
The room was a major disappointment.... they didn't have enough electrical wall outlets, so there were extension cords in several places.
There were several new de-odorizers in the room and a hepa-filter fan was blowing continuously... I suspect that this unit might not have been used in a while and it must have smelled.
They had a coffee machine, but no coffee, cups, or cream/sugar, etc.
The mattress was 'tired'.... two adults in a bed sank to the middle.
The floor was filthy... I was wearing white socks and over the period of a couple of hours, the bottoms of my socks were black.
There was plumbing piping through the unit that was very visible, and in the bathroom, the piping restricted sitting on the toilet. The shower stall was situated in the middle of a 'construction zone'... the walls weren't finished.
During the daylight next morning, the grounds looked like a storage facility with 'junk' piled everywhere, and a rotting boat on the front lawn.
For us, the low price wasn't worth the visit!
