Somewhat walkable
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
We stayed for one night. The room that we were in smelled like 50 years of stale smoke had permeated the walls. There was a sewage smell in the bathroom, as well as a clump of hair under the vanity. I don’t mind a place that needs updating, but I draw the line at dirty. Tiny TV hanging on the wall that could only get about two channels, and there was a warning across the tv the entire time that the subscription was ending soon.
Unfortunately, this place has seen better days, and needs a pile of money to update it. I do not recommend staying here.

Very nice accomodations, slow wifi but beautiful place to get away. A 5 minute walk from town, plus the service here is great. Personally I would not come back again, I had a bad interaction with the hotel cleaner and he was very rude and inconsiderate. Would not come back again.

Stayed here 2 nights.very basic room ,two queen beds.wifi,tv,microwave fridge. Level of cleanliness was low. Bathroom needs better shower curtains.bedding seemed well worn.Owners very friendly and accomodating.English not first language and not as clear. However,we liked the lication and being able to walk to sites. Carpets not clean wear slippers.

Arrived at 9pm after calling them 3 times. Desk man said he expected me the day before even though I repeated the date many times! English not his first language which makes it difficult already. Do not stay here! Bad points, don't take your shoes off, carpet filled with spots, burn marks as well regardless of the no smoking sign on the door. Little kitchen with dirt under the counter. Bathroom crying out for a paint job, dirty door, dirty hair blower, walls..two towels, one looked clean, the other stained badly.. There were two cleaning clothes left on the table I brought back to the owner. Very dated with wallpaper trim along the ceiling. The word 'scuzzy' came to mind! Good points, TV, internet, okay beds, working fridge, microwave but no coffee maker. I went to put stuff in my car at 10 when the owner said check out was 10:30! He asked if we were staying another night, I was honest and said it was dirty, dated and I had booked the place with a 12 PM check out, but they didn't get that date right in the first place. He fought with me, I said he gas rude, that i was trying to help him, he came back a few times with more comments. Sad when o e spends their hard earned money spending a night away during a pandemic with such poor accommadations. The owner is not interested in making his business better. The outside is delightful, but stay away from the inside. It's a dive!

Staying in Fenelon Falls for a family wedding. Phoned 3 times to inquire about check in time. Was told it could be no sooner than 2 pm because the room needed to be cleaned. That was a lie. The room was filthy. Someone's dirty t-shirt left in a drawer and a can of soup and condom left in another. Was discussing. Don't stay here.

This hotel is absolutely disgusting. We found old clothes in the drawers, the plates were stuck to the shelves and there were old hard boiled eggs in the drawers, socks between the mattress, dirty q-tips in the drawer, mould on the shower curtain, .the list goes on. I am amazed that it is still open for business. I would be concerned about the things that are not noticeable right away…….bed bugs!

Wow, I can't beleive I paid money to stay here more or less the fact that I paid $150 a night! The place is so old and worn out it's not even funny. The beds are shaped like bananas and you can feel the springs throught the well worn sheets (most of which are full of holes) the carpets are stained, towels worn down to rag status. Most of the furiture dates from the 1970s and is not in good shape. The rooms were fairly clean but I would never stay here again and the cost is outragous given the poor state of the rooms. Staff were nice enough but then charged us an addional $20 for a roll away bed when we checked out. Can you say rip off?

Do not stay here!! We had a dried bloody comforter. When I told the owner of the inn she came in with one of the maids and they replaced the comforter.....They only replaced the comforter not the entire bed. Not only did we have bloody sheets but the room smelled like smoke, alcohol and "Oh my." Search for blood if you stay here!

Last time we stayed overnight in Fenelon Falls, we chose a small family run inn that I would recomment highly. This time however we chose to stay at the Fenelon Inn because it was right on the way and conveniently located. We were the only guests and the price was ridiculous (even after a discount). First let me tell you what is right about this place. NOTHING!. Dirty dirty dirty. Filthy carpets. Blankets with stains and holes. Top sheets with holes. Unclean mirrors. Noisy and inefficient heating air conditioner. Junk in backyard area. Was not positive sheets were clean-no bugs however.(we hope!) Happy to leave early in the morning and head for Tim Hortons up the street for a good breakfast and coffee. Stay away!!!!

Because it had heat! My two girlfriends and I traveled to Fenelon Falls to visit a friend, not many options in this town for accomendations. What a disappointment! Owners were very pleasant, but room was awful and amenities were lacking to say the least? I suppose the first sign was the used tampon applicators littering the parking lot! I exaggerate, but isn't one enough? Room was very dated and smelly. We decided we were troopers and could stick it out, it was only one night. We wouldn't be hanging there long. We dumped out stuff and headed out, not to return till late that evening. Noticing now, the dirt, dust, and disrepair of our room. The broken lock on the door, and non working heater (a balmy 4 degrees Celsius that night). We wore most of our clothes that night, to stay warm, figuring that we drank enough wine to not notice. Needless to say we barely slept, didn't shower either, unknown splatters of matter covering the walls and door in the washroom. It was thoroughly disgusting! Deciding, obviously to lodge a complaint, to our surprise no one was around. Room cleaner said to drop key in the box, we told them about the no heat. They apologized. Yay for our quiet Canadian complaint. Never again and if YOU do, good luck.
