Nestled in an idyllic location, Costa Grand Resort & Spa offers beach access and local amenities that delight most guests, despite the occasional airport noise some find bothersome. The resort's modern atmosphere and beachside decor, including multiple pools, are widely appreciated, although a few guests find the white color scheme a tad monotonous. The hotel's cleanliness and well-maintained facilities receive high marks, as does the friendly and attentive service. While the rooms are celebrated for their modernity and spotlessness, a handful of guests note that they can feel slightly cramped. The resort's amenities, especially the pools and varied breakfast, are popular, but some guests feel that certain on-site offerings are overpriced.

This is a lovely hotel situated at the end of the Kamari strip.
Our room ( 509) was perfect for our needs. Comfortable beds, good quality air conditioning, nice hot shower and ample storage and hanging space in the wardrobes. If I was disappointed at all it was that there were no hooks for towels or bath robes in the bathroom.
The terrace led directly out to the pool area and is close to the pool bar.
The pool ( one of eight) area was mostly quiet and we always were able to get sun beds for our party of 6. The pool was always clean and big enough to have a decent swim in.
The pools on the beach side of the hotel were a little busier but still were plenty of beds. If you like the beach then get there early for the best spaces. Waiter service was available on the beach.
Breakfast is served in the main dining room ( this was usually quite busy) or in the smaller snack bar near our room. Food is self service, simple and fresh and there was plenty of it. Coffee was available in abundance too, freshly made at the bar.
Reception area is quite lovely and team were very helpful with all our enquiries. They helped with booking transport and trips as well as having a good supply of clean towels for the poolside and spare keys when we locked ourselves out if the room! The iron and ironing board were delivered very swiftly when requested and out luggage was collected without delay when requested.
Rooms are cleaned every few days unless requested more frequently and there is a nice supply of usable toiletries.
There is an organised shuttle to Oia which was around €20 each for the return trip. Worthwhile if you want to join the crowds and watch the sunset. We, took the trip and it was very convenient.
The hotel is at the airport end of Kamari so if you don't like the noise of landing aircraft you won't like the location of the hotel.
Really close to shops, restaurants , bars, the beach and all amenities.
Although this is quite a big hotel the quality if the staff and service is akin to a smaller boutique hotel and the layout and rooms make it feel much smaller.
Thinking of booking again for next year.
An ideal location for a traveller who likes some fun and food in the evening and to chill during the day .

Today is the last day of a perfect week in Kamari staying at the Costa Grand. We could not have picked a better hotel for our trip. Not only is it beautiful, immaculately clean with gorgeous rooms it’s in the perfect location. We hired a car for a day to explore the island as well as using the buses in the evening to visit Fira and Oia. Rooms are gorgeous with the most comfy beds!! And kept immaculately clean!! So here is the breakdown:

Pros:
Clean
Close to airport
Easy access to beach
Close to many, many restaurants and shops
Good quality breakfast
Good shower pressure
Comfy bed
Friendly staff
Bus service to explore island
Good value for money

Cons:
Close to airport (not an issue for us but yes I can see the planes could be an issue for many)
Lack of sun beds at times (due to covid?)

The hotel and resort are doing all they can to support social distancing during this time. Masks are not required around the hotel. The breakfast Buffett, until the last two days, consisted of a person following you around and you telling them the items you want. However, as the hotel has got busier it has moved to help yourself with limited numbers allowed in the area. Also I believe sun beds have been removed from around the pool in order to comply with social distancing measures.

Would I stay here again? In a heartbeat!! Amazing accommodation and it’s nice to leave the hustle and bustle of the other towns after a day exploring.

If you off soon more than happy to answer any questions I haven’t covered in my review 👍

Costa Grand is a great hotel. Please please don’t waste your time being put off staying here by people giving this hotel 1 star purely for airplane noise. Silly and unfair on this great hotel and the hard working staff. Yes, planes sometimes fly over low and yes it is loud, it’s a PLANE. But, each plane is over the hotel for a mere few seconds and then they’re gone, they’re also not all that frequent. It’s actually quite cool to see them flying over the hotel and it hasn’t affected our stay in the slightest and hasn’t bothered anyone we have spoken to at all. Santorini is a small island, you are going to get a little airplane noise if you’re on this side of the island nearer the small airport, so please don’t be put off. The hotel is brilliant, super clean, well designed and well cared for, the staff are so kind and helpful and their recommendations for local bars, beaches & restaurants has been invaluable. The staff work so incredibly hard (particularly noticeable during Covid-19 times due to extra measures they have to take) and will do anything to help you enjoy your stay. They’ve also got great senses of humour at all times and just are lovely to chat to.

We had a room besides one of the pools (there are 5 I think) with a view of the sea. The sea is a little rougher than the sea near Perissa and a little breezier but still good to swim in. The hotel felt busy but never crowded and there were always space and sun beds to use available. Rooms are modern and clean. Only tiny thing about the room that could be improved is there is no in room
kettle with tea/coffee options, which is a shame as I love a coffee first thing in the morning before going down for breakfast and most hotels I’ve stayed at almost anywhere else in the world has this, so not sure why it’s not a thing here. But not a deal breaker by any means.

There is a huge car park if you rent a car. Well worth hiring a car for Santorini, particularly if you are starting off on the south end of the island, you will need one. Kamari is a cool little town with a huge variety of places to eat and drink and super close to the hotel.

Highly recommend Costa Grand. We loved staying here. Efharisto CG!

A quite exceptional hotel right on the beach at the end of the beach strip.
From the warm welcome to the back up help on departure should the flight be delayed or cancelled the staff at this hotel were exceptional.
On reception, Stathis, Thavos, Euily & Georgia plus Agapi, Kostas and the rest of the Restaurant team always checking how things were with a smile.
The food was top quality, the breakfast so fresh with constant replenishing and as others have said staff who remembered your drinks order.
We had the evening buffet @ €25 pp such good value with different hot choices each night. Food is never piping hot that is the style everywhere but always hot enough with warm plates. The buffet came with free bottled water.
The restaurant was staffed so well there was never a wait for a table or dirty plates and every effort was made to find a table that suited it was run with great organisation.
Room keeping was top notch with towels changed daily and linen every two days couldn't ask for more.
Reception made a point of saying if a problem occured to advise them straight away and they would sort it and they were true to their word with a minor issue we had plus followed it up throughout the week.
The grounds were immaculate with none stop cleaning everywhere was so well kept.
As mentioned by others the airport flight path crosses the front of the hotel so there is some plane noise and they appear low but the planes are infrequent and can be quite an interesting sight. Certainly no guests seemed bothered with it.
Lots of freshwater pools around the complex with sunbeds to use plus plenty of beach sunbeds and umbrellas. Plus if you feel lazy a beach refreshment service from the restaurant with a linked button on each umbrella table.
The adjacent strip has a multitude of bars and restaurants with some entertainment.
Getting around the bus stop to Fira was a 10 minute walk, frequent services and only €1-60 so easy to visit the main places.
All in all a very enjoyable stay at the Costa Grand and certainly one to consider for returning to in the future.
Thank you all at the Costa Grand.

Our party of 10 stayed at the Costa Grande resort in July 2021. Terrific 5 star hotel with beautiful accommodations. The lobby, pools, and beach are well-kept, clean, and welcoming.

Rooms: We stayed in standard rooms and floor space was very tight; only enough room to walk around the bed. Besides that, everything was wonderful! Nice showers, bathroom area was clean.

Spa: had a deep tissue massage at the spa and it was one of the better/stronger massages I’ve had. I had the male massage therapist. There was a nice exercise room, but during COVID times, guests can only use by appointment, and there were no open slots during my stay.

Pools: there are several pools on site; the pools are all beautiful, clean, and definitely instagram-worthy. The chairs and umbrellas are bolted to the ground, which is really nice with the nearby ocean breeze!

Location: this resort is directly next to the airport. So every few minutes, a plane roars above the resort. Some of the folks in my party were bothered by the airplane noise from their rooms, but I didn’t notice. Also, the resort is conveniently in the quaint and small beach town of Kamari. Lots of stores, restaurants, and cafes within a very short walk! Kamari is on the opposite side of the island from other Santorini tourist areas, like Oia. If you plan on going to other areas, plan ahead with the hotel to arrange taxi service.

Food: we had breakfast and lunch at the resort restaurant. Lunch was very good, with a good selection of food and drinks. Breakfast was included with room rate and was buffet style. In COVID times, they require that you wear masks and gloves in the buffet room, and they had a table with those supplies at the entrance. I appreciated these extra measures and think the breakfast buffet experience was very good.

We stayed for 9 days in this lovely hotel. We were able to do the check in online before we arrived and that helped with the time spent at the reception. The receptionist welcomed us and gave us instructions for the hotel and trips we can take on the island. The staff were very friendly and always willing to help, always welcoming us with a smile on their face from breakfast time until late at night. Dorian the bartender makes the greatest cocktails, especially pinacolada, and you can actually tell it was a cocktail and not mocktails. Food is very tasty and decent prices considering it's a 5 star hotel.
The location of the hotel is perfect, right on the beach, given us a choice if we wanted to stay on the beach or use the pools area. We could use any of the pools with no restrictions. It is close to the airport and we could see and hear the planes coming but that was not a problem for us, was actually very interesting.
The rooms are spacious and very clean, furniture is modern and the internet in the room has made a big difference.Due to the current situation we needed to specify to the reception when we wanted the room cleaned, this worked very well for
us as we tried to keep contact to a minimal. The staff and hotel are very safe and practice social distancing.
We enjoyed our stay and we were able to relax.

Fantastic hotel, in a great location right on the beach. We stayed here for a week at the end of June, we had a fantastic time. The hotel & rooms are spotlessly clean, the pool areas are brilliant (7 pools) and the sunbeds are probably the comfortable we have ever used. You did have to either get your towels out early in the morning or late at night as they got reserved very quickly. There was one couple on holiday that had a reserved sign on two sunbeds, don’t know how you get this.
Breakfast, was great, buffet style, they had everything bacon, sausages, eggs, cereal’s, fruit, this was run by a great & hard working lady & man (sorry I forgot there names)
The rooms, comfortable bed, plenty of room & storage. TV with internet so you could watch YouTube videos, kettle with tea and coffee, great big shower, the lighting in the bathroom could be a little better (for shaving) or could do with one of those little shaving mirrors.
We had a our own small patio area with a table and chairs outside (we had a ground floor room (524) all of the hotel buildings are 2 floor ( ground floor & 1st floor), we had a safe and a small fridge in the room & the air conditioning was excellent, and was well used as the weather was excellent and very hot.
Our room was towards the back of the hotel room no 524 which I think was probably the quieter part of the hotel (not that it was noisy anywhere) if you go out of the hotel grounds between the bar and the restaurant area there’s an excellent shop where you can get water, beers & wines & anything else you may need.
At the front of the hotel (on the beach) to the right is the resort of Kamari, where there is a long strip with 100 + restaurants and a few bars, pharmacy, a few little mini markets. This area is brilliant, you will not have a bad meal anywhere, everywhere we went the food was fantastic (I’ll review the restaurants we went to)
The hotel is on the flight path to the airport so you will get low flying quite loud aircraft, which I thought it might put me off, but it didn’t at all this actually quite good looking at the planes coming in especially the private jets, don’t let it put you off, as you will miss a great hotel in a great location. If you go on the beach you will need sea shoes as the beach is quite stoney and sharp on your feet, everyone was wearing them.
There is a bus stop in the town (kamari) this will take you anywhere on the island we went to Fira a couple of times and it only cost 1.60 euro each & we went to Oia you need to get the bus to Fira first and another bus to Oia which is another 1.60 euro each, the cheapest way to do it.
This hotel is probably the best hotel in the area I would recommend staying here, we will definitely be coming back here to stay
Thank you Costa Grand

A gorgeous hotel in a lovely spot. Located on the beach and at the end of the Kamari beach strip (where there is a pedestrian walkways) means you are at the end without disturbances and lots of people walking past. There is lots nearby along the “promenade”, so may restaurants to choose from or bars. Lots of mini markets so easy access to the shops and an open air cinema around 15/ 20 min walk from the hotel which is a must! The hotel itself, the rooms etc is beautiful. There are lots of pools for use and we never struggled to get a sunbed at the pool or on the beach. The staff are really friendly, especially reception / concierge who were so helpful with recommendations, booking taxis etc. Elephant in the room is that the hotel is under the flight path so planes fly past fairly often and are quite low so expect some noise! We knew this before we booked as we searches trip advisor reviews but were happy with the small price to pay given how the hotel looked and the price. We didn’t find them to be a bother and actually quite enjoyed looking up at them and seeing a plane that close- which I think a lot of other people thought as we saw a number of people taking photos of them

We selected Costa Grand Resort & Spa from various hotels offered with BA holidays, and we were not disappointed. Location of the hotel is stunning. Right beside the beach, one minute walk from shops and restaurants and 10 minute drive from the airport. Hotel grounds are just gorgeous! Beautifully maintained with flowers wrapped around walls and balconies. Hotel has many pools (water more on colder side) and most are located right outside own room terrace. We selected beach front facing room and it is well worth extra money so highly recommend upgrading! Our room was lovely, spacious and clean. Rooms I would rate 4*, only as there is no private iron and ironing board, toiletries are not 5* standards, there is no kettle with tea and coffee and sadly bed was not as hard as we normally like it, however we have removed extra topper from the bed to make it more firm and it was much better.
We managed to secure a late check out also which was so handy as our flight back wasn’t till 6pm.
Hotel restaurant is divine. Everything we ate was delicious (photos to show) especially their salads, fresh pizzas and risotto! Great selection of wines, spirits and other beverages and you can order your drink by the pool too! Food is served practically till midnight so you’ll never go hungry. Hotel staff are so so helpful and so friendly. They will go extra mile for you and make sure your stay is extra special. Our Special thanks to wonderful Thanos and Agapi who gave us that extra special treatment throughout our stay. You are both amazing at what you do and thank you for everything.
We hope to see you soon!
We would definitely stay in Costa Grand Hotel & Spa when next time in Santorini.

This hotel is beautiful. We stayed in room 407 which is a beach view room. The location is great, it is next to the airport and you occasionally get planes flying overhead but it was not a problem for us at all, I think people on here are over exaggerating, it is loud for 5 seconds then it’s gone!
It is right next to a massive strip with so many restaurants/bars and little shops which is perfect.
The hotel is very clean the staff are incredible, you are waited on hand and foot and they are so so friendly.

The food is also very good nothing bad to say, we had breakfasts and lunches and then went out to eat at other restaurants in the evening. There is a lot to choose from at breakfast and at lunch.

There are multiple pools which are cold but you get use to it after a second of being in it if you’re not a wimp!
The beach is stoney but still a pleasurable experience, I would recommend getting some swimming shoes (local shops sell them for €10/€15) to go on the beach/in the ocean. There are many sun beds which are just for hotel guests as it’s a private beach. They also have a small water sports place right next to the hotel.

We also travelled around the island, the concierge in reception was very helpful and booked us a sunset view restaurant in Oia which was stunning. We travelled by bus from kamari to Fira and then another bus from Fira to Oia which was cheap and didn’t take long at all, you could also get a cab or hire a vehicle.
The concierge also booked us a boat trip which I highly recommend, we got on a catamaran round the island and swam in different locations including the hot springs. You also get lunch and drinks included.

I would 1000% stay here again it’s been a wonderful experience and I cannot fault it in anyway!! I highly recommend.

Thank you costa grand!

I'm really not sure as we are non-smokers. I didn't notice anyone smoking. Why don't you just-mail the hotel and ask. There are several pools. But you really should be giving up. We have seen too many die of lung cancer and other lung diseases. Believe me the end is not a pretty sight!
