We have just returned from a weeks stay at the Cliff Side Suites in Firostefani. We had a lovely time and we would like to extend our thanks to the manageress, reception staff, house keeping and porters for making our stay a memorable one. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.
We moved rooms as we were not happy with the original room we were given, only because we wanted a little more privacy, to a much bigger room which also had a plunge pool on the terrace outside. It was much appreciated :) There was a good enough selection of hot and cold food at breakfast and the breakfast area offered a beautiful view towards Thirassia. Our room contained a hairdryer, fridge, dehumidifier, dressing gowns, complimentary toiletries, t.v and safe. The room was cleaned daily and towels were also changed daily.
You have a selection of restaurants and shops right outside the hotel or you can take a 10/15 minute walk into Thira. We would recommend the Vanilla Restaurant for a good selection of food at a decent price and also Chantico New Age Street Food - both on your doorstep.
We hired a car for a couple of days and it was all arranged by reception staff. They can also arrange a selection of excursions for you. If we return to Santorini, we wouldn't hesitate staying here again. Thank you so much, Paul & Linda :)

Just returned from a short break in Santorini. We stayed here. Cliffside suites is the perfect name for this hotel. Fabulous views from our very large balcony across the caldera. We had a lovely room ( thank you for the upgrade ) and the staff couldn't have been more helpful especially in providing gluten free bread at breakfast for my wife. The room was clean and very spacious and I loved the fact each room came with a table, chairs and deckchairs ( altho I would have preferred sun loungers ). There are lovely restaurants within a few meters if the hotel, most giving equally good sea/caldera views. This is a great place to stay and far more reasonable than some other similar hotels, altho like all the cliffside hotels you do have to negotiate a number of steps.Highly recommended

I could repeat what previous reviewers have said about this excellent hotel, which would be rather boring. Therefore let me describe our junior suite, 106, and offer a couple of tips. The suite is a cave with a large living room containg a large table, chairs and two sofa beds. The bedroom is at the back in a separate section with a further cave containing the bathroom with the shower being in another cave section. The wardrobe is a cave off the living room and the kitchen is in another ....cave. the fridge is, of course, in a further cave. You could become a true troglodyte if it wasn't for the private balcony up a flight of stairs which has the best view on the island. Wonderful. A couple of tips. Firstly, the hotel has many, many steps of irregular height which means that if you have mobility issues you should consider a different hotel. Secondly, empty the dehumidifier regularly before it gets full and automatically stops working. Troglodyte life can be damp due to your own exhalation. Finally, don't try and "do" Santorini in three days like many people. You need to add an extra four to just sit and savour the ever changing view (including the weddings). Thanks to all the members of staff for a wonderful holiday.

We stayed in a cave room at the lower end of the property. This means a very quiet, unique and spacious cave room with lots of stairs to reach it, but that added to the fun of our stay. Lower rooms are also near the pool and breakfast area. (*Rooms are available higher up with fewer stairs). We had a fantastic patio with a breathtaking view of the caldera and sunset. We were surrounded by great restaurants and shops and Fira and Imerovigli were a short and engaging walk away via restaurants and shops with fantastic views along the way.

The name says it all: Indeed a delightful experience to stay at this property. No wonder they are proud members of the Small Luxury Hotels of the world network. We were originally scheduled to come to Greece in September of 2020. With the Covid pandemic, the hotel offered us the option to transfer our stay to a future date of our choosing, so we decided to come in September 2021. The hotel staff was extremely attentive and helpful. We were provided with a complimentary upgrade to their most luxurious suite and enjoyed our four days in Mykonos in grand style. Breakfast was also included in our stay and the food, as well as the service, were impeccable. The concierge had excellent suggestions for restaurants and was able to secure reservations to all venues. We also rented a car for two days, and the hotel arranged to have the car delivered to and subsequently picked up directly from the hotel. Highly recommendable.

Cliff side was amazing from the very first moment to the last! The staff were incredible and couldn’t do more for you, they were all very friendly and welcoming!

We came at the end of the season (literally the last guest before they closed) and we were concerned it would feel knackered and the staff wouldn’t be on point, BUT we were so pleasantly surprised that everyone was on such top form. The rooms were beautiful with great views, I personally think the best views on the island for this time of the year. The evenings can be very cold and windy so pack a jumper. The days were beautiful and sunny. Coming at the end of the season was lovely as there weren’t too many people, you are able to walk around a bit more freely between shops without crowds.

Again as for cliff side it’s was the perfect place for our getaway, brilliant staff, amazing views, good food… overall very happy!

The hotel location is excellent, only 10 minutes walk to the hustle and bustle of Fira with a few restaurants and markets just outside the hotel. The view is exceptional, the breakfast is good but nothing amazing, the room is very basic so you really are just paying for the view. The Wi-Fi is absolutely horrible, you’re lucky to get it if you sit out on your patio. The patios are nice but too hot in the afternoon to sit but very nice early morning and after dark. There is no spa in the hotel as pictured on the website it’s at the sister hotel about a 10 minute drive away. The staff is friendly and try to accommodate as much as possible. Overall, it’s a decent hotel but if you’re looking for luxury this would not check the box.

Stopped here for 5 nights in July and it was incredible, the room was spacious, clean and superb with cool air con. The caldera views were amazing from your own private terrace and it also had a jacuzzi which was superb.

The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for you, room was serviced daily and was spotless.

The location was perfect too, a stones throw away from Fira which was great and 20 mins away from Oia, I actually preferred Fira to Oia being completely honest.

had breakfast in at the pool bar most mornings and the selection was good, my only criticism was the orange juice was warm as they are left out on the self serve and as its so hot outside it warms, it would be better served or stored in the fridge as there was one there. Apart from that I could not fault the breakfast as it offered everything needed.

Watched a few weddings during the stay as its the perfect location and the sunset is to die for. There are plenty of steps but what do you expect, it is the same everywhere and it certainly didn't put me off!

I would recommend this hotel and would definitely come back in the future if visiting Santorini.

Thanks for a great stay

My husband and I were kindly offered a room here when we requested a room change at Belvedere Suites - sister hotel. The service at both these hotels is probably the best we have had in a very long time. Nothing was too much trouble and they definitely go out of their way to make their guests comfortable. Very friendly, efficient and go the extra mile. Thank you to all the staff, especially the young lady who went out of her way to ensure that we weren’t left waiting in the cold for our airport pickup and also arranged a room to shower etc before we left.

We have just got back from our holiday and it was just fantastic. We had room 111 the size of the room was very good, the balcony was brilliant and the views just breathtaking.
You do gave air con, and a refrigerator very handy.
All the reception staff as well as the cleaner, maintenance man just brilliant. Yes there can be a lot of steps but it's on the hillside so you should expect this. Our room had a lot of privacy but some little. View fantastic and we saw 4 wedding and 2 romantic meals from our balcony because there is such a wonderful view of the sunset.
The pool is okay but there is a 10 minutes walk to there sister hotel which has a lovely pool. The main part of the town is 15 minutes walk down the main road where there are lots of lovely shops, restaurants, bars etc, even a Mc Donald's. Some restaurants are very expensive because you are paying for the view ( which you have from your hotel room)
There is no tui rep not even a meeting just the odd text saying can we sell you a trip.
Again thanks to everyone my wife thoughtly enjoy her birthday the views. You can see a satellite it looks like a train, wonderful to look at each night. Ask reception staff what time it will pass by. About 10 minutes later each night.
Thanks again for everything Keith
