Detailed Reviews

We stayed in a cabin and really felt like second-class citizens at this resort. It appeared to us that the focus is on the RV and trailer crowd and that the cabins are an extra.

The housekeeping was impeccable. The cabin was spotless as were the outhouses and main bathroom with showers. The property itself was in really good shape with no garbage anywhere.

My main concern was that our cabin did not have access to a picnic table or proper fire pit although we saw a picnic table and fire pit for every RV site. There were picnic tables about 50 ft up a hill behind our cabin but these were always claimed by the people staying in the cabins near these tables. There also weren't enough picnic tables for each cabin. I'm expanding on this because there isn't anywhere to sit outside if you have a cabin other than where you park your car. We asked at the office about these missing items but nothing was done to fix this. In the cabins beside us, every person we met was using it as an extra bunk house while they socialized with their RV friends.

The lakefront for general access is limited to a small swimming beach or the boat launch. The owners have used the lakefront spots for trailers which means that if you don't have one of these coveted spots, your view of the water is limited. I've attached a photo of a large trailer blocking the view from our cabin.

The owners were pleasant but business like.

As part of a long roaming RV trip we were looking for some quieter less crowded places to stay during this Covid year.

We have a 34' 5th wheel RV, while busy the place was only about 1/2 full, which we liked. We were able to setup on a small terrace and with our back window looking at the lake, a very nice view. Late in the afternoon another camper moved into the space just below us and removed our wonderful view of the lake, so we were a bit disappointed.

This is a nice stop for sure but during peak season, it would be jammed with folks fishing in the well stocked lake. We were not there to fish.

The spaces are very tightly packed and so one needs to be prepared for no privacy during peak season. Looks like it could be fun for a family or family groups. But it's clearly not a long stay place for older couples.

There was no sewer hookup but there is a sani dump. And in the space were were located we did pick up a satellite feed. We had to pay an extra $6 per night for Wi-Fi, which was good but annoying to pay for an addon. Rate was $40/nt so sort of reasonable. Many sites were not flat, but there was plenty of grass. Fire-pits and picnic tables were available at most sites.

Had a great first time at Sheridan Lk. Very clean well organized. We already booked for next year definitely going back. Nice marina and boat launch. Nice little store for the little things you forgot and ice cream for the kids. We had water and power with toilet dump on the way in or out.

Beautiful setting, clean cabins, beautiful campsite, and everyone there is very friendly. There is a horseshoe pit that we spent a bunch of time around. Lots of protected dock space. There is a nice beach with a swimming platform which is great for the kids. There is a store that you can get your basic needs. There is also a nice covered area for groups of people together

We have been staying at this resort for 5 yrs, we have been lucky to get a waterfront spot.
The owners and their team work so hard to please you. The grounds are well kept, washrooms and showers are very clean.
The people that camp around you are so friendly, and the fishing was a little slower this year but we managed to bring a couple home.

Work experience ever, wrnt with my to clients that are slightly mentally disabled, they do need help in the bathroom, well impossible here, the bathroom will NOT fit 2 people, so to there horror they had to come out of the bathroom for me to be able to clean them properly, nothing in there site told me off any problems with the problems I had, the stairs for my one client was unsafe, the last little step is not marked so she tripped twice, me in my 60's with my 2 clients, that cannot help unload much, we had to drag all our stuff quite aways to unload, not easy at all !!!! Then among stuff that isn't huge like it being dirty etc, I opened the hide abed to find it help together by a coat hanger type wire and a LG screw, if either one of my clients had of sat there prior they would have fallen through to the floor, not along ways to fall but who knows where and what that wire and screw would have stuck into!!!! So dangerous, so for these matters it was impossible for us to be able to stay, my clients were at risk physically and emotionally, not having privacy in the bathroom, which is against there rights and should be, so 1 nite and they refuse to give them there money back plus I was dumb enough to book at the end of July also, told them June 29th when we left that we could come back that there cabins were not suited for my clients at all well we aren't getting that back either, my clients save all year to be able to do a couple fun camping things well they've ruined that, I can't even try to book anything because they spent there money there, please if you believe they should get there money back, help them by leaving a review but better yet give them a call and voice your opinion, thank you

Great camp ground. Staff was super friendly
Could use a little more than some swings for toddlers/younger kids a little playground would be perfect. Super clean and loved that there was room to set up some games to play. Also super low traffic throughout the site which eased a mothers mind.

The resort was immaculate and the owners were so friendly and helpful. I love the size of the individual camping sites, lots of room! This was our first year to visit the resort but we have now become regulars.

Why don't people ice fish at Sheridan Lake more? Caught a 5.6 lb fish there on my third day thanks in part to the owner of the Resort Tammi.

The cabins are super reasonably priced. New mattresses. Hot showers. 2 bedrooms. Cellular networks work fine so it was a work-cation. I felt like the price of the cabins were about $50 - $60 cheaper than they should have been.

The hosts were great. She greeted us and made us feel welcome without being intrusive. We showed up early and the cabins were ready with the keys on the table. I had to work a bit and left after the checkout. She said worry not at all.

The average sized fish I caught was 2 - 2.5 lbs with one big exception. With such a cheap getaway in the winter and fantastic fishing - I can't understand why the place isn't booked solid.

The one thing about Sheridan is that you have to know where to fish. The owners told us that and it is a short 10 minute walk from your cabins. The fishing is super aggressive from 7:45 to 9:30. Then it dies down significantly for the next hour and then the fish sleep during the day I guess. But 3 good sized rainbows in 1.5 hours of fishing has no complaints from me! Just a jig of any color and shrimp and you are good to go.
