I am a big fan of the hotel because it is absolutely cozy and very central. Also the staff were all extremely friendly and courteous with no exception. I was travelling alone and visited New York for five days. I felt so comfortable and safe and just in good hands.
The atmosphere, the ambience of the lobby, my room, the Jam Restaurant just inviting and very cozy, with pleasant music, nice light and a nice fragrance concept.
My room was on the 14th floor and because it was so comfortably furnished it didn't bother me at all that it had view to the courtyard.
The eco concept appeals to me particularly, the coffee, the teas and everything else from the minibar is organic, you can even drink the tap water (it‘s filtered). It was great to simply order a soy cappuccino to my room with the app. I got an answer that it could take up to 30 minutes but after 10 minutes it was already delivered and this service is available 24 hours a day. I also loved the hoodie bathrobe in jogging suit fabric.
The food in JAMS is super delicious and again everything is organic - perfect for me, because I enjoy the same quality on vacation as at home.
One evening JAMS was closed due to an event, but for hotel guests there was a delicious buffet and drinks in the lobby, a very nice idea!
The apple bar every morning in the lobby with regional organic fruit was great.
I have rarely been to a hotel with organic amenity products that smell so good as shampoo, conditioner, body lotion did. I have long hair, so it was especially nice for me to see that the hotel also put a hair tie in the shower. Someone was just thinking!
On my check-out day the street was closed because ice sheets came down. A staff member was escorting me and my luggage to the the Plaza Hotel where my driver was waiting. That's what I call excellent service.
In conclusion, I have never been in a hotel where the overall package was so close to perfection. See you next year, same time, same place :-)

We stayed here for 6 nights in October while my husband was recovering from surgery.
I thought the hotel was lovely and perfect for our needs. The location is great - we had a glimpse of Central Park from our room.
The rooms are a decent size for NYC. We had a 2 bed room and the beds were very comfortable. I loved the mix of natural wood and fibers with the modern touches (room lighting, television and an app to contact the hotel staff if you’d rather not call.)
I thought the glass partition looking into the bathrooms would be strange, but it wasn’t. There is a curtain and a door to the bathroom for privacy. The two shower heads in the shower were a nice touch too.
The staff were all very friendly. They seemed to take Covid quite seriously as well. There were ample hand-sanitizing stations and a covid amenities kit with masks wipes and sanitizer.
I had a number of special requests for my husband because he had just gotten out of the hospital from heart surgery and the hotel accommodated all of them.
The only downsides were that we stayed during Covid, so the hotel restaurant was essentially closed (there was some take-away service.) And the weather was miserable during our stay. But neither of those were within the hotel’s control.
I would highly recommend 1 Hotel Central Park and would definitely stay there again.

I do know some have different preferences regarding the exposed shower area in some of our guest room designs but we do have opaque fabric panels that we can easily snap on to create more privacy should anyone need it. We was looking for a new place to stay in NYC and really wanted a change from all the old luxury hotels so we did some research and decided on 1 Hotel Central Park, and am SO glad we did. From beginning to end it exceeded our expectations, and the fact that it is carbon neutral only made it better. The minute you walk in you feel like you are not in a big city anymore. The entire staff was so welcoming, friendly and accommodating for our entire stay. Our room was lovely and had the best view of Central Park, very comfortable bed, nice linens, luxurious bath products and the best robes I have ever had in a hotel. We were on the 17th floor and literally did not hear a sound all night including the famous NYC car horn. We had everything we needed in our room and when we called down for one thing that we did not have they were knocking at the door in less than ten minutes with our request. Another thing we loved so much was that all the water in the hotel is filtered which I have only seen in one other hotel outside of the United States. We had dinner in Jams one night and were blown away by the service and our dinners I had the Wild Striped Bass which was DELICIOUS and will get it again as soon as I can get back there and my daughter had the Gnocchi which was also very tasty. Our servers were so attentive and friendly and dining room was warm and inviting. It was surprisingly quiet for a busy place. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and can not wait to return and also try other 1 Hotels.

From start to finish, the experience of staying at 1 Hotel Central Park was outstanding. I downloaded the app prior to arriving and sent a message to the staff asking for down-free bedding. A staff member replied very quickly and told me that it wasn’t a problem at all. The app was super helpful throughout our stay whenever we had a question or wanted room service.
The hotel itself celebrates nature and the environment. Beautiful plants can be found throughout the lobby, hallways and in the rooms. The rooms are absolutely stunning and had everything we needed for a fantastic getaway.
We appreciated the free fruit cart in the lobby and the Nespresso machine in the room.
We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant, Jams. The service was spectacular and the food was wonderful.
We cannot wait to go back for another stay. Everything was perfect!

I absolutely LOVED LOVED LOVED this hotel!!! It felt like it was personally curated for me and well, that is always a magical feeling.
My partner and I arrived on our bikes and upon arrival, they offered to store our bicycles and to help with dinner reservations. The people at the front desk, Luis and Rita quickly became fast friend with us and the manager, Joseph over seeing the place, made us feel extra special with his genuine interest in our lives. You can tell he has been in this industry for a while with his white glove treatment. Lastly, Michael, the concierge was very helpful with last minute dinner reservations.
The professionalism, the coolness and the overall vibe of the place was exceptional. I personally admire how this hotel is eco- friendly and actively doing their part to help with climate change and the less fortunate.
The hotel has a triple filtering system which left me skin feeling like silk smooth, they offer free apples everyday, and if you want to leave some clothing behind, they will donate the used clothing to a near by shelter.
If every hotel did more like this hotel is doing, the world would be a better place for all.
Thank you to the 1 Hotel and their staff for such an incredible evening. We will be back and hopefully for a longer stay :)

My boyfriend and I always enjoy visiting NYC and this hotel is right in the middle of all the best must view sites. The room was perfect! They provide you with a little gift bag of face masks&sanitizer. The room was relaxing and had a touch of earthy feel. They even had refillable bottle waters in the mini fridge all around the hotel. One of the best hotels in NYC. We’ll definitely come back here again! Thanks to Josue and Michael for making our hotel stay great. They even let us leave our luggage for storage after checkout, so we could continue exploring the city. The room had soft bathrobes, slippers, and you can adjust the lights in various ways too!

Very pleased with this hotel ! I have stayed at NYC's finest hotels and enjoyed this hotel as much or more. Great location, one block from Central Park & exclusive shopping. There is a great deli/grocery store and a Starbucks across the street which was ideal as so many restaurants are closed right now. The main hotel restaurant was closed because of Covid 19 but there was a great cafe and bar in lobby that was open with expresso, bakery items and sandwiches that were homemade and delicious. I was concerned about staying at a hotel during the pandemic but felt very safe and comfortable at 1 Hotel as it was very clean and the staff was attentive and professional. Check in and out was a breeze. The room was small but it was perfect with a boutiquey casual vibe and an awesome city view!

My wife and I lumped a conference in with a family vacation. IT WAS THE BEST IDEA. We are a family of 5 with kids ages 13, 11, and 4.
We are so glad that we picked 1 Hotel Central Park for our stay. It did mean that mama had to walk to her conference in Times Square, but she didn’t mind one bit, and it added to the daily step count—yes, we are into that stuff :)
The decor is super modern and green. We appreciated the well appointed rooms. Speaking of which, we went for the connecting alcove 2-bedroom to accommodate our family and it was the perfect choice.
We are just a block away from CP and it was the perfect location. Again, for our family, being able to just work a few minutes to the playground or just run around the park was perfect. We racked up the steps because we chose to walk around as much as possible. The location made everything we wanted to visit accessible. Our little guy did great, racking up 20k steps a day! He slept great!
The housekeeping crew were great and we appreciated how tidy they left our room day after day. We “live hard” in our hotel rooms and the staff kept the room clean and restocked daily and very quickly.
Our hats our to all staff. Luis at the front desk was very helpful and kind, helping us get acclimated our first few nights. Always patient and helpful.
We felt lucky to visit while G and Benny were working. They always sent us off each morning and welcomed us back with smiles. It’s not easy traveling with kids, so having such friendly staff was very much appreciated.
Shout out to our concierge, Richard. Give him some data points, and he will wow you with his spot on recommendations. One that I want to share here was his recommendation for me to visit the whiskey trader, a local bar with world class whiskey.
The bartenders are super at JAMS restaurant in the hotel. Led by Jack, we enjoyed cocktails with the crew each night. We tried pretty much all of the drinks, plus some they whipped up for our curious taste buds.
We had the pleasure of meeting Joe Torres, from 1 Hotel SF, who was on assignment. He made our time even more special. WE can’t wait to visit the property in SF when it opens.
Our only delta for the trip was with the menu. We asked for a grilled cheese for our little guy—an off menu item and they declined our request. So if you have younger kids with limited tastes, you may find it difficult to eat at the restaurant.

I was returning to stay in this Hotel after a good satisfaction experience from my last stay in an accessible King Room 3 months ago.
This time, I stay in a Double Bed non accessible room, and I just realize that this Hotel is not suitable for family. The bathroom, which surrounded by 2 glass wall, doesn’t have any privacy at all. The privacy curtain only covers the sight from the bedroom area and It still can be seen from the entrance door.
I will not recommend for the guest travelling with family staying in this Hotel, unless they can get an accessible room which has a solid wall bathroom.

Best part of this hotel is the location, water pressure, and the staff, especially MICHAEL B who greeted us every day with a smile and gave us excellent restaurant suggestions! He is the shining star of the 1 hotel! This hotel is very clean and prides itself on its eco-friendly amenities which I appreciate, but the biggest complaint I have is the room we stayed in. We chose a Central Park king room on a high floor. Great view of Central Park, but the room lacked in necessities for a room of its size and honestly for what we paid. We have stayed all over the city, from the Carlyle to The Dream hotel. I expect a full length closet and drawers. This room had what I called a “murphy closet” which could hold about 4 men’s dress shirts and 2 drawers which was hardly enough to unpack 2 suitcases of stuff. I had no place to hang my dresses, no place to put my shoes snd boots, one hook next to the toilet in the bathroom. I would expect a room like this in Europe but not in NYC. We may not be the demographic to attract for the 1. We like luxury in the city, turn down service, I don’t want a yoga matt or feel like I’m in a dorm room trying to find space for my stuff. I’m sure we could have paid for a larger room but would never think to ask if the room had a closet or double sinks? As much as we loved the location and the staff, we like to unpack our stuff in a room that allows us to have space. I like bright lighting in a bathroom and hooks to hang things. This is just our preference when we travel to the city. If you are a light packer and live out if your suitcase then the 1 is for you!

Yes, as far as I’m aware, every room has its own private bathroom. But if you’re asking if there is more than one bathroom in a superior king suite, that I don’t know. I don’t believe so, but you would have to check.
Something you should know about the bathrooms in this hotel, every room I’ve ever stayed in here (and there have been three) has had the same bathroom design — the only thing separating the bathroom from the bedroom is a glass shower wall. There is a curtain on the outside of the glass shower wall (essentially in the bedroom) that separates the bedroom area from the bathroom. But if you don’t draw the curtain, your fellow traveler(s) can see you showering.
