This property is in a nice, central location if you want to spend time on south Maui without all the expense of Kaanapali, but be warned that this place is LOUD all the time.

The walkways outside of the units are right along the bedroom windows so any talking is amplified and this is not helped at all by the sounds of children constantly screeching “Daddy, Daddy, Daddy!” We are subject to slamming doors of the adjacent units and rental car alarms in the parking lot at almost all hours.

There are two pools which are between buildings A and B, and C and D. The A/B pool seems to be more adult-oriented and the C/D pool has kids in it which cannot seem to enjoy the water without screaming.

I’m fine with the sounds of the native birds and roosters crowing, which are plentiful in the morning. If you have a family and have little self awareness and control on your noise this property is good for you. If you are expecting quiet (and there are signs all over the property explaining quiet hours) this is not the place for you.

Our unit D103 came with beach chairs, a cooler, boogie board and beach umbrella which was really useful. Everything was clean and worked just fine. Make sure you stock up on things like paper towels, coffee filters and toilet paper as there wasn’t much of that here.

We probably would not stay here again because of the noise. This isn’t the fault of our Air BnB host but the property itself. If you want a little more quiet look at the Maui Banyan which is right next door.

This was a last minute trip scheduled as we were unable to go to New Orleans due to Hurricane Ida. It was the best last-minute decision that we have made. The location is great as it is centrally located to "the happenings" around. Many things are within walking distance and the beach access is just a short walk across the street.

This is our second stay in D514 and unit owner, Diane, has been great to deal with. We prefer this unit over D518 where we stayed in 2015. D514 has a good view of the property and ocean and we enjoyed watching the sunset and whales from there. The unit is well stocked for cooking and beach activities. We love the location which is across the street from Kamaole beach 2, near a number of good restaurants and stores where you can get food, alcohol, clothes, souvenirs or book excursions. Kihei Akahi has 2 pools, a tennis court and lovely trees and flowers. It also has BBQ areas at each pool although this time we just used the gas grill on the stove and that worked well too. ✅👍🌺🩴🐠🌞🩱🌴🍹

Bettina and Bernies’ accommodation has all the essentials and more for the perfect Maui holiday experience. Bettina spoke with us prior to our visit to Maui about places to visit and things to do. Upon arrival, the condo was so much more than we expected. The home had all the essentials for a day at the beach along with the basic essentials to prepare a great meal. Everything was labeled and easily accessible. If you are looking for a great view, central location, short walking distance to the beach book this location. You will not be disappointed.

The things we liked about the condo was that they had good TV Channels and they also had 55 inch TV in the living room. Another thing we liked was that there were tv’s in both bedrooms and the living room. We also liked that it was close to the beaches and restaurants. We enjoyed the beach and sunset views from our lanai. We gave this condo 5 stars and would stay here again!

The place is amazing. My only complaint is they provided a portable A/C unit for the living room only. The room temp was 80 degrees and the room was higher. If you are ok with the heat, it's a great place.

Unit D613. VERY dated but nice views of ocean. Portable fan and hair dryer don’t work. Needs a lot of TLC. Kitchen great for a very tiny kitchen but all furnishings from cups to plates to bedding to furniture all very “low rent” WalMart specials.

This was our 5th time in Kihei and our 4th in C105 at the Kihei Akahi. Kihei is perfect if you like sunshine and many beautiful beaches. Each morning I would head south and walk from one beach to another. Kamaole II is a 2 minute walk from the door of C105 and is a great beach. Kam III and Kam I are right next door and have good snorkeling. For sheer beauty go to Keawakapu beach - also not far.

The Kihei Akahi has a tennis court (complete with pickleball lines, too), 2 swimming pools, BBQs, and mango, avocado, and banana trees.

We love the unit C105 which you can find on VRBO. The owner is great and the unit has everything you need.

view was spectacular, kitchen well appointed, king bed was comfortable, property was immaculately groomed and very clean. Living room furniture was atrociously uncomfortable, as was the lanai furniture. Toilet was poor and shower was marginal. Would not stay in this property again, until these condo living issues are addressed.

Our main complaint was the bug/ant problem in the kitchen area. These bugs were crawling all over the items we left sitting on the kitchen island as well as in the kitchen and even went into our suitcases. There were bug traps set out, but either they were old or ineffective because the bug problem seemed out of control. Make sure to not leave any food out because these bugs will get into it.

Hi we rented a van because there were six of us. It was very affordable and much cheaper than trying to get a taxi. We had the van for three days.

Hello Is there any close transportation near the property or do you need to purchase a rental car?
Answer from Charlie P

There is the Maui Bus that stops various places in Kihei. You can also walk to a large variety of restaurants, shops, beaches, etc. We would however recommend rending a car, as Maui is a beautiful island worth driving around and exploring! - Condominium Rentals Hawaii

Each unit is individually owned and operated so it depends on your owner if coffee is supplied.

Used fans to circulate air to bedrooms during the day while we were out. That helped but it was still a bit stuffy in the bedrooms.
