Many guests have applauded the Graduate Nashville for its prime location and the unique charm of its decor, which contributes to a lively and whimsical atmosphere, although it may not appeal to everyone's taste. While the rooms have been praised for their comfort and style, some travelers have reported issues with cleanliness, size, and maintenance. The hotel's service receives mixed reviews, with accolades for staff helpfulness contrasting with complaints about responsiveness. Despite the overall cleanliness receiving commendation, inconsistencies in housekeeping have been noted. Additionally, the value proposition of the hotel is a point of contention, as some visitors feel the cost of parking and amenities does not match the experience provided.

The Graduate is a wonderful hotel within walking distance of the honkey tonk area of Broadway. A unique boutique hotel, the Graduate offers an extraordinary option in the heart of Music City. Our visit was for business but it’s a great place to hang out.

I booked this hotel to visit a friend that moved to the Nashville area. The location is great! plenty of cute, hip bars and restaurants within walking distance. Broadway (Nashville’s main drag/strip) is a bit further but still a cheap/quick Uber or Lyft away. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful, if at times maybe a bit overwhelmed (it was SO busy, just tons of people everywhere in the main lobby). They might do well to increase number of staff, but that’s also just a new post-pandemic reality everywhere across the service/hospitality industry. There was no daily housekeeping/linen changes, I assume for the same reason (lack of staff). The rooms were adorable and well appointed: I booked a Jr King Suite so there would be enough room for my local friends to stay if they wanted. It was a bit pricey not to have daily housekeeping, but overall I was very satisfied with the cleanliness, quality, and decor in my room.

A few words about the White Limozeen situation: The Graduate Hotels definitely uses WL as a selling point, but they do not clarify (almost to the point of misleading) that WL and the Governor’s Pool are an entirely separate establishment with their own waitlist and staff. I did my homework and found out ahead of time that reservations (on Resy app - you cannot call and make a res; res must be made thru the app) were needed for the pool as well as the restaurant. I did try to get reservations but was unsuccessful. I would have like to check it out, but I knew going in that without a reservation you’re out of luck so I was prepared for that. I can understand why other reviewers were upset and disappointed about the exclusivity of the White Limozeen/Gov Pool. The Graduate Hotel really doesn’t seem to have anything to do with the management or running of White Limozeen at all — they just share the property. I think in the interest of full disclosure the Graduate should probably not claim White Limozeen as an on site restaurant when you can’t even make a reservation through the hotel/concierge. Again, I knew all this going in, so my trip was everything I expected, but I would have been extremely disappointed if I hadn’t looked into it ahead of time. I know many others probably chose this hotel specifically because of WL, so it borders on misleading to advertise the two together as one.

This hotel was amazing. It looks exactly like the pictures on the website and every little detail was put forth in making the rooms and common areas look perfect. I can't wait to come back. You must go upstairs to White Limozeen if nothing else but to take a look around at the awesome display of pink. I didn't even realize they made that many shades. IT IS AWESOME!!!!!!

I am a Nashville locaI and wanted to celebrate my birthday with a pool day and night at a hotel. There are plenty of options for hotels with rooftop pools in town, however I chose to stay at the Graduate. I'm not happy with my stay for 2 reasons.

1. Pool is no longer an amenity for guests. We reached out and asked multiple times to make sure we did not need a reservation. Each time their response was "The pool is only available for guests we just ask you social distance." Upon arrival we find out that 3 days earlier it became apart of the restaurant and that we need a reservation (which is $45 per person.) Keep in mind the last time we had asked about reservations was 2 days before they made this switch. It was also never communicated to us after the switch that we would need reservations.

2. When booking online, I added early check in, because I wanted more time at the pool (LOL). The confirmation email I received did not include early check in, so I called and spoke to someone in reservations. I was told by that person it was on my reservation. However, when we got to the hotel at 1 we were told that our room was not ready, but they would notify cleaning staff that we were there. After waiting 30 mins, we went back to the desk and found out that early check in was not on my reservation. I was told "our reservation center is off site in Kentucky, so you did not speak to anyone who is here. I 'll let cleaning know to prioritize your room, but you didn't pay for early check in." I was then offered a double queen room that was already clean, but denied it because I paid for the King Suite. We ended up waiting 3 hours and not being able to get into our room until 4.

The hotel is very pretty, the atmosphere is really fun, and most of the staff was nice, but I am super disappointed. I understand how difficult these times are especially for the hospitality industry and the need for changes, but the lack of communication and transparency really hurt our experience.

Hotel was adorable and had multiple photo ops if you are just looking for some good insta material. If you are looking for the full experience with amazing service amenities and food this hotel is NOT for you. The staff all seemed to think very highly of themselves and made you feel like you should be thanking them for the privilege to eat and sleep at this hotel. Some customer service training is very much needed. The valet contract staff was the only place we felt welcomed and they still took over 30 minutes to retrieve our car.
They should be ashamed using Dolly and Minnie Pearl images because the pictures are where the likeness stops. This hotel lacked the Nashville charm and friendly nature of the local community. I can’t imagine this place in the summer when all the bachelorette parties trying to take up the four seats around the bathtub they call a swimming pool. I would have your cell phone cameras ready because there are bound to be some girl fights going on!
Our room was lovely but already in need of some repairs. Poster bed was broken throw pillows stained and mattress on the pull out was from 1970. Sheets were great and the one towel in the bathroom was great quality. Wish we did not have to ask for towels and lines for the pull out.
Booked a celebration package that included a cheap bottle of sparkling wine chocolate bar and some paper cups. No ice buckets any where on site to chill the sparkling wine and no ice machine. Hot sparkling wine in a paper cup. Yummy!!
Room came with guaranteed reservations for dinner at White Limozeen where they sat 3 of us at a dirty crowded cocktail high top table in the bar. So much for a fun relaxing dinner. Food and staff were were miserable and overrated. All cups and dinnerware were cheap plastic which was on the same level of the amateur over priced food. The cocktails were over contrived and just tasted disgusting. The restaurant was beyond cute with several great places for some cute photos if you could get around the stuffy staff rolling their eyes.
This was a one and done for me. Hotel has lots of potential but needs to start fresh with a new staff and new chef.

First off, the vibe on this hotel is cool. Fun Nashville decorations and a fun funky decor. The rooms are quite nice and well decorated and quite comfortable. The location near Vanderbilt is great if you are visiting the school. But…..

the volume of bachelorette parties storming the lobby and going to the roof bar is overwhelming. The lobby is literally a mob scene. It’s hard to even get to the elevator through all the bachelorette parties. The hotel should figure out how to limit the volume of these visitors as it really detracts from the experience of the hotel guests. This is a hotel right? Honestly it felt like I was in a scene form the movie the hangover and was in some cheesy Las Vegas hotel.

Now on to the matter of room cleaning. I know we are exiting a pandemic and hotel staffs are strained but if you charge $400 a night or more you have to come clean the room ( make the bed, change towels, clean the bathroom). This is not a motel 6 or is it? On the first day I was there I was told you have to ask to have your room cleaned. So I asked three times that day - only on the fourth request did they come clean the room. And at 400 a night should I have to ask to have the room cleaned. I don’t think so.

Again, if you want to charge premium rates you have to provide a premium experience. This hotel could be excellent but only when they figure out how to eliminate the mob scene in the lobby and provide daily room cleaning (without guests having to ask).

Very disappointed in this hotel! The hotel is beautifully decorated but it has some serious issues that need addressing. The pool is not part of the hotel, it belongs to the rooftop restaurant. You must reserve in advance, for $45 PER person for three hours. The cafe in the lobby closes at 6:30pm so no after dinner coffee or treat. They have a free self serve parking area that fills up very quickly so you’ll most likely end up paying for valet parking ($40 per day or $16 up to 3pm). Our room was beautifully decorated but dirty. The carpet had not been vacuumed, there were large food pieces and what appeared to be dog food in the floor. The shower floor and doors were dirty, mirrors needed cleaning and there was a used cup & straw under the bedside table. The a/c went out both nights we were there too! I wanted to love it...

Hotel was very nice. The furniture and decoration were all incredible. The staff weren’t very friendly. I felt like I was bothering them anytime I had to interact with them. I spoke to someone when I first showed up to ask about parking and she seemed annoyed that I didn’t already know the answer myself. Then when I checked in, the employee I interacted with pretty much one word answered their way through the whole interaction. Costs 40 dollars a day to park your car in their entirely empty parking lot (I kid you not, did not see any cars in it over the four days we were there). Also, no covid protocols being enforced anywhere inside the building. Tons of people. No masks. Besides the staff, the hotel was great. The decor is incredible. Our room was incredibly comfortable. I slept better in the bed here than I do at home! The bathroom was huge. Great shower. The provided products were all great. Our room had a lovely view of the bell tower across the street (went off once, not loud enough to wake anyone, don’t worry). Free coffee in the morning was good. I didn’t try to rooftop spot because a chef friend of mine in town told me it was pretty bad(his words, not mine). Overall, I would probably recommend this hotel for a girls trip if you don’t plan on actually being there much.

I would give a 4.75 rating if possible. In Nashville for two night stay at the Graduate Hotel which had just opened January 5th. New, bright, clean, ECLECTIC, great location, friendly staff, but construction is still ongoing with work on the top floor. March is date given by staff for completion of pool, deck and Miss Bessie's roof top bar and restaurant .We were in a corner Premium King room on the 6th floor which gives two walls of windows with lots of natural light. Poindexter coffee area provides a limited breakfast selection in addition to coffee. If you will have a vehicle during your stay valet parking is $40/day. The Graduate is a great addition to the hotels in this area of West End, just a block from the Vanderbilt campus, Amerigo's is next door on West End and Hattie's Fried Chicken is just two blocks away. A welcome addition to the Graduate Hotel chain and certainly worth a return visit for us when roof top is completed. " We Are All Students"

The good: The hotel is very clean and beautifully decorated. It's quirky and fun. The details are amazing, right down to the room keys. The staff is also very nice and welcoming. Beds are comfy, bathroom amenities are great. Great location.
The bad: No self parking available. You have to valet or find a lot yourself. Another review mentions that there is a self parking lot and post a pic of a sign covered by a tree, that is actually the employee parking lot. The pool is NOT an amenity. It is by reservation only and cost $45 per person to use. The rooftop bar/restaurant is also by reservation only. You will not be visiting the rooftop without a reservation! There are no fridges or coffee in the room. There are not even ice buckets or cups in the room. Actually I never saw any type of ice machine or vending machine now that I think about it. There is a coffee place in the lobby if paying $5 for a cup of morning coffee is your thing. Other than that you're gonna have to cup your hands together and drink faucet water if you get thirsty in the middle of the night. We stayed during covid and the bar (Crosseyed Critter) was completely closed so I cant comment on it. Although it has a separate outside street entrance, so it would not surprise me at all if there was a cover charge to enter even if you're staying at the hotel.

Dear CMGINTN: Thank you for your detailed feedback and for staying with us! Currently, we do require reservations for The Governor's Pool at White Limozeen however here in Nashville, it is fairly common for hotels and restaurants with pools to charge and have a reservation process. We will be watching this closely however, I promise. While we did offer complimentary self parking our first two months as a gift to our wonderful guests, and we have now gone back to our valet only model moving forward. There is a parking lot behind us on Hayes Street that charges a higher cost, should someone prefer not having anyone in there vehicles. We actually do have refrigerators in every room, located in the dresser and coffee makers are available upon request. All guest of the hotel are provided with a complimentary cup of drip coffee daily at Poindexter, by just by showing your room key. At all Graduate Hotels, we do offer water at $5 per bottle in the room as well as additional grab and go drink options downstairs in the lobby. We hope to see you again soon and again, thank you. Best, Greg Bradley

Hi Maddie! I parked in the covered parking on Hayes Street for $20 a day. Pretty sure it’s called “Hayes Street Parking” and is directly across from the hospital near the Hayes/20th intersection. It’s literally around the corner, and very easy walking distance from the hotel. I’m over 50 (where did the time go?!!) with a bad shoulder, and I still managed to schlep my bags and a little cooler to the hotel without much effort. That being said, the Graduate staff is AMAZING and so helpful, and the valets are top notch. You’ll absolutely love your stay there.
