I'm a Wyndham owner and used to staying in Wyndham resorts and hotels! This hotel has some work to do to represent the Wyndham I've come to love! While it's in a great location, the fact of paying $35 for valet parking is rediculous! I was given a Jr room that was handicapp accessible even though I didn't request one, then was told nothing else was available because it was sold out for the dance competition that weekend. The room was outdated, had the fridge and microwave taken out and the space left was very unclean with dust. The coffee maker looked liked it needed cleaning, one of our towels had a hugh tear in it, and to top it off there was a roach in the bathroom early the next morning!. Next morning I went to the service desk and voiced my complaints. Victoria and Luke were very gracious and understanding. Luke made sure I got the next available clean room with a tub, kindly took one night's stay off, and Victoria offered breakfast vouchers for me and my daughter for the next morning. They exhibited superb customer service as wyndham is known for and I appreciated their efforts.

On return trip from NYC, stopped in Pittsburgh as about halfway home, and wanted to catch a game at PNC Park. Wyndham Grand had excellent location, could walk to the game in minutes, great view of the Rivers and the state Park, but for one night it was pretty pricey. Parking wasn't on-site except for Valet, and the valet parkers were a little rude as we tried to drop off prior to parking off-site (across the street basically). Also, room was in really good shape, but no USB ports to charge devices, so make sure you bring your brick(s) with you. Front Desk Staff was very helpful, which for the amount they were charging, they should be. Lounge on-site, but kitchen closed pretty click for a Friday night with a game in town. Would have been better for kitchen to stay open for fans who wanted some food for after the game.

The best part about my visit was the valet service. The Valet attendant was helpful, cheerful and quick. They also were very forth coming with the information that check out time for valet is 1pm and if your still in the garage after that they charge you an extra $25.
When I went to check in the front desk informed me that my upgrade was no longer available..despite the fact that I called 5 days prior to my visit and requesting a complete upgrade. There offered me a king size suite for 4 people. Once I explained that they said they would send a roll away bed at no charge to me. She assured me it would be there promply.
Speaking of the roll way-it was a shipping pallet with a 4 inch mattress laid on top. Ive never seen anything like that. I waited 4 hours and it still wasn't delivered, so I called again. Still no delivery. I waited another 3 hours and still it had not arrived. I called again and this time I waited about 30 minutes and it showed up...only to my dismay that it was shipping pallets!!!
The bathroom was disgusting and VERY tiny. The shower head had black mold onn it.
There is trim above the bed that was half handing off.
I was there for a convention which had approx 300 + people. The ballrooms are very large but the lack of food availability is ridiculous. There is a Starbucks cart that offers a few choices but be prepared to spend $9 for a small pizza and $5 for a bottle of Sprite (which is not a twist off lid, so make sure to bring your bottle opener). The restaurant is reasonable priced but had a limited selection. The breakfast bar was $16 per adult and $10 for kids, but did offer a wide selection.
Avoid the gift shop if you can. It is horrible priced! I bought some Altoids and candy and it was $8.50.
Overall I would not be recommending this hotel and if the convention I attended is held there again, I will be finding an alternate hotel.

We arrived earlier than check in on the 4th of July after a cross country trip of camping. Front desk staff was amazing because I was sure we couldn't get into our room. We changed our type of room to one that was available so we could get a shower and the gentleman gave us a room with a view of the park so we could see the fireworks. This is our go to place for watching fireworks because it's awesome and it was nice to be right next to the park. The reason I give 4 stars is because we called specifically to check about parking with a luggage roof rack and were assured they could accommodate us. When we arrived they could not. We were told to find parking elsewhere. VERY frustrated after driving across the country and back, we scrambled to find a space, 3 blocks away, at a ridiculous price because it was a holiday weekend. Had we not been able to get a room right away, I would have ranked them even lower because it was so disappointing to have to quickly unload luggage during an extremely busy time and be rudely told we can't park there. Grateful for our time there, but sad that one person given specific information failed to provide correct information causing us a lot of stress upon arrival. Otherwise, it's a great hotel and like I said, the staff and service is wonderful.

Although the front desk staff was friendly, the housekeeping staff was very unfriendly and didn't leave enough towels, nor a bath mat. We had to call the front desk to be properly replenished. One of the servers in the restaurant tried to rush us out as we came in close to time of closing for lunch. The rooms are very small and although the sink in the bathroom had been updated every time you turned the faucet on, if it wasn't full force, water ran across the counter.

It is in an excellent location. This hotel is real close to a lot of restaurants, a lot of stores and shopping places, Heinz Field, Benedum Center, PNC Park, PPG Paints Arena, Carnegie Science Center, Carnegie Museum of Natural History & Art,National Aviary, Phillips Conversatory, Kennywood & Sandcastle, Duquense Incline and a lots of more things to do. The pool was clean with a nice view of the city. Our room was clean. But I only gave this place 3 stars because too many dance kids checking in with a lack of staff working in the front desk. Our room was a little bit noisy during the night time because of all the dance competition kids staying there. Guests under 18 need at least one adult staying in the room with them. Please hire more front desk people. Our shower wasn't working so we were forced to take a bath please fix the shower. You can offer guests noise cancellation headphones to make our stay better. The pool was tiny.

We were there for a dance convention. Check in was seamless, rooms could have be a little cleaner, and vacuumed. The lady that works the Coffee Shop is outstanding! But the check out process is horrendous here, and they host ALOT of conventions, I would think they’d have it down by now.

Loved the bed, loved the location. Beyond that, there was hair of multiple types visible on the tile floor as you walk in, the wallpaper was moldy and peeling, probably because there is no fan in the bathroom. The room is small, and the A/C struggled the whole time we were there. When we called the front desk, to their credit, they immediately came up and changed the filter and then the air worked much better. Got a look at the filter-it was fully blocked with dust so clearly they are not keeping up with that.

Overall the room was clean but on the smaller side. Room had a refrigerator but no microwave-which is standard in significantly cheaper hotels. Went for a dance competition for my daughter and the elevators were frequently not working properly ended up having to use the service elevator a few times. Front desk staff were very friendly and wore masks for guests' safety, however I requested new towels (housekeeping is suspended unless you request it due to Covid) and never received them. There are a number of restaurants in walking distance, and Doordash Grub hub and Uber Eats are allowed to deliver to the lobby only not to the rooms (Hotel policy). In house restaurant is decent not too overpriced however they close the kitchen to "prep for dinner" at 2pm. There is a coffee shop in the lobby that brews Starbucks coffee but they periodically close for 10 minute breaks.

I suggest you call the hotel directly and ask to speak to a manager. Save the topic of your call until you have been connected to a person with the proper authority to work with you to resolve your issue.
There is a garage across the street that is convenient. Overnight parking is $26.
Sorry I can’t be more helpful but we live just outside Pittsburgh and drove in.
