We have just spent nine nights at the LORD BYRON what can i say the place was fantastic. Location excellent receptionist excellent housekeeping excellent nothing was too much for them to help as we had a room on the top deck no lifts two flights of stairs staff carried our bags up for us. The pool area not large yet was comfortable to sit by the rooms were excellent air-con ceiling fans bathroom water pressure all good. Off street parking available at all times so satisfied have booked a return trip later on this year

Roxanne at Reception was really nice and helpful when checking us in. Our room was facing the pool and was really nice albeit smaller than other similar hotel/resorts in that calibre. The heated pool and spa were very much appreciated. The location is very practical with all the main shops and eateries just a few minutes walk away.

Disliked · The room was smaller than we expected including the bed and the main desk is only manned during business hours.

Returning from a (very) long drive to North Qld. for work, we needed somewhere to stay to break up the journey.

A quick search online saw us considering options in Brisbane & Gold Coast, but then this popped up in the search... We thought "An hour closer to home... sure, let's do it". I'm so glad we did. Not only was Byron a better choice than the Gold Coast, but the Accommodation we chose was far better value, and heaps nicer!

We booked direct with the hotel as we weren't sure of our arrival time, and they arranged for keys to be securely left for us, however we managed to arrive during business hours, and were delighted by the friendly, professional service received.

Rooms were cozy and well equipped, with a relaxed coastal vibe to the decor.

The location within walking distance to most popular dining spots was a bonus, as it meant we could have a couple of drinks over dinner and not worry about how to get back to the hotel!

All this added up to a good nights rest so we could hit the road again the following day!

I'll certainly be back

I stayed here with my partner and it was so good that we have a new favourite place to stay in Byron! I found the staff here were so welcoming and friendly - the lady from check-in even showed us to our rooms personally.
The room was spotlessly clean and the pool looked very inviting (we didn’t use it though because of the rain)
On the morning we checked out, the receptionist recommended a place for brekky which was very helpful. Thanks for a great stay and keep up the good work guys! I have already recommended to friends.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Lord Byron.

It's an older hotel with everything you need - a pool, spa, tennis court, surfboards, off-street parking.

The hotel provides great value for money. Rooms are clean with sufficient space. The location of the hotel is great - far enough away from the noise of the heart of Byron Bay but within easy walking distance of the main beach, restaurants and shops.

The service at the hotel was great. The ladies at Reception were always friendly and helpful.

We would gladly stay here again.

I have visited Byron for a holiday every year for over 10 years and this was the first time I had stayed at the Lord Byron. Initially we had booked to come over the Christmas/New Year period but had to cancel last minute due to covid lockdowns. The staff were super helpful, especially given we were only giving them a couple of days notice, and we booked for the Australia Day long weekend instead.

We absolutely loved our stay - the room was spotless and nicely decorated, and we loved sitting on our balcony in the afternoon, overlooking the pool with a glass of wine, before heading out for the evening.

We used the pool every day which was the perfect temperature and had sun all day long. Drinks can be ordered via your phone and they bring them out to you straight away.

We hired biked everyday to ride into town, out for dinner and drinks, to the beach etc. There were always plenty to go around and they were of great quality and smooth to ride.

The reception staff were really friendly and went out of their way to help in any way they could.

I can't recommend The Lord Byron more highly and we have already booked to go back later in the year!

Don’t go there it is a scam.
Looking at the pictures you are expecting to get into a nice charming boutique hotel and you end up in a kind of motel, not even clean. The furnitures was super cheap and part of it was broken (bathroom). We were on Honeymoon, they wrote a nice note (which was really appreciated) and offered us a sparkling wine - which appears to be a 7 dollar bottle when we payed 650 dollars per night. The room that we got was far away from the pictures… and the daily cleaning was very approximative.
Really disappointed by this experience, it felt like a robbery. I wish I knew..
on the positive side, there are very nice bikes that you can borrow - which we enjoyed.

Dear 794raniab, Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback and we do apologize your experience with us fell below expectation. As the dates you stayed with us was over peak time in Byron Bay our rates do reflect this due to the demand. We are a small boutique hotel and all of our 31 rooms are individually designed. Our reception staff are always on hand and happy to show you a few different rooms to ensure you get your perfect fit and we wish that you would have reached out during your stay as we would have been more than happy to assist. We do pride ourselves on our cleanliness and I am disappointed to read your comments on this. I’m happy to hear that our complimentary bikes were a highlight for you. Should you plan to return to Byron Bay in the future, please feel free to reach out directly as we would love to welcome you back and change your opinion of us! We stayed at the lord Byron for 3 nights.
Staff are really friendly and helpful.
Room was very clean and tidy and pleasant.
The hotel smells amazing with the candles they are burning which they sell and I brought 2 of them.
The hotel is at a great location and only a short walk to the beach and restaurants.
The reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 because of some minor things.
The rooms are not sound proof, you can hear other peoples conversations in your room.
Also the cleaning is done every morning which is great but the sound of vacuuming goes through the whole building.
We had really poor internet connection and even though they provided free internet access that did not work and the staff gave us a wifi dongle but that didn’t really work either so if you needed to reply to work emails it was impossible.
Saying that that’s just a minor issues and would definitely recommend staying at The Lord Byron if you are visiting Byron bay.

I was extremely underwhelmed by this hotel. Firstly the positives which are 1.the staff who are helpful and friendly 2. Location being close to town and 3. the place is clean. Beyond this it is a glorified motel which has been given a cheap makeover. The pool area is horrendous, we spent 1 afternoon here and never returned. The pool area is old and tired and there is nothing appealing about it. There is a bbq area which is again pretty soulless. The tennis court is not fit for purpose and is quite embarrassing that they even mention this in their marketing. Considering we paid close to $500 per night I was expecting something quite luxurious instead we got a tiny basic motel room facing a busy main road.

What a lovely homely place to stay. The hotel room had everything you needed ... toaster, kettle, coffee machine, fridge, china and cutlery. This more than made up for the lack of restaurant and bar ... although there was a limited list of drinks you could pay for that could be brought to your room. There was a BBQ area and lounge too.
Very central and close to shops, restaurants, bars plus easy walking distance to the beach.
The reception staff were a delight. Nothing was too much trouble.
Great place to stay and not expensive.
