The Green Bay Lodge exceeded every one of our expectations going in. The owner, Christina, was extremely helpful and accommodating from the moment I inquired about a booking to when we left on our last day. The lodge itself was absolutely beautiful, extremely well kept and stocked with movies, books and firewood. Christina gave us some great tips on places to visit and avoid based on the time of year and each recommendation we tried was amazing.
We really can not emphasize enough how relaxing and peaceful our stay was. We will absolutely be visiting again if we find ourselves near Manitoulin in the future.

We had an excellent stay at the peaceful lodge. Bed was comfortable and I appreciated the all white hotel-style linens. The suite was cozy and we enjoyed having a barbecue dinner on our private patio with a view of water.
The lake was a great spot for swimming and the place had everything we needed. A bonus that it was less than 10 minutes drive to the cup and saucer trail.

My husband and I stayed at Green Bay Lodge for two nights, and loved it! The rooms are clean, rustic, and very functional. Of course, the outside is even better! The property was stunning, with a cozy fire pit, nice lounge chairs by the water, and canoes, kayaks, etc. that were all in excellent condition. It was the perfect place to call home after exploring different parts of Manitoulin by day. Will be back for sure!

1st time trip to Manitoulin Island. Absolutely beautiful. This little piece of heaven was well worth the trip. We stayed in the Kingsize room. Full contained for all our needs and wishes. The bed is one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. The owner Christina was lovely. I will be back

Restful and quiet stay for 3 nights with friends. The suite was clean and well equipped. Good location for investigating the Island. Christina, the owner, was welcoming and helpful. She gave us lots of ideas for our day trips. She also encouraged us to enjoy the beauty of our location. Nights by a fire and looking up at the stars. As Christina said “Don’t forget to look up”.

It was our third visit this year at the Green Bay Lodge, together with my brother, mom and auntie. Its was awesome, just like in the years before. Its hard to find such lovely people like Klaus & Karen nowadays. The Lodge is very well cared, and perfectly located. Thats the definition of paradise! Okay, i have to admit that the beer is not that good, but that's not Klaus & Karens fault (just kidding). I would definately recommed this Lodge, which has a lot to offer (fireplace, surfboard, fishing rods, canoes and kayaks). It was so much fun to hang out at the campfire with all the other guests, get to know each other und just have fun. I don't feel like a guest anymore. I feel more like a friend, who comes for a visit every year. And to those who complain about the roads: I AGREE! I arrived in my pick up truck and expected a couple of mudholes and huge puddles. But unfortunately, there were only well maintained gravel roads! I guess some people expect a paved highway with 5 lanes in each direction in the middle of canadian bush. Get a life folks! Its nature, and thats what we love about this place!

I can't wait for next year - see you soon, best wishes, cheers and "Prost!" from Bavaria!

Karen and Klaus are wonderful hosts. Very friendly and open people. Green Bay Lodge is truly a hidden treasure. No bother relaxing and taking it easy in the wonderful garden overlooking the picturesque lake. Good idea to bring along a few groceries so you don't have to leave in the evenings for supper, there's even a barbecue in the garden ready for use.
Thanks for the wonderful experience.

This was a difficult place to find and the road down was a little scary for me. What i wondered was how would you get by if you came across someone coming the other way as the road only had room for one car.(very steep) They need a bigger deck by the lake and some comfortable chairs not just a bench. My bed was very uncomfortable hard mattress and sunk down in the middle. Breakfast was okay for me but for a guy not so good only 2 small sausage all week rest eggs. The hosts were nice people but too many mosquitos & bugs for me. If i went again i would stay at Lake Mindemoya beautiful lake and lots of nice walking there.

We had an amazing 3-night stay stay at Green Bay Lodge during the August long weekend. This very private property is a perfect getaway for those seeking a relaxing respite from the busyness of daily existence. The long drive was all worth it as we were instantly wowed by the beautiful surroundings the minute we hauled our bags from the car. The place inspired a feeling of serenity with its beautiful view of the lake and its quiet ambiance. Owners Klaus and Karen were also a darling with their superb hospitality and good-naturedness, making us feel welcome and at ease right away, especially with Klaus's funny quips. We certainly enjoyed our short stay here and we were glad we came upon this place which was a real island gem.

Hosts Klaus and Karen spent time telling us about the many interesting places and sites on Manitoulin. They have a lovely property, Karen's gardens are worth the stay alone!
Swimming in a pristine lake, bonfire, BBQ, Hummingbirds, Sandhill cranes, hiking, and much more, We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
