Good choice for central Cleveland. Large rooms that have been modernised fairly recently, very good front desk service (Richelle was great), quite affordable rates. Right across the road from the basketball and baseball stadia. The city center is very quiet, but if you have stay overnight it’s fine.

This is a perfect, no nonsense hotel. Recently renovated, room was clean, bed comfortable and staff was friendly. If you’re attending a game/event at Progressive Field or Rocket Mortgage Field House, it’s the perfect location as you basically walk across the street to get there. There are a few things to note though. Because this is a recently renovated old building, I guess installing exhaust fans in the bathrooms was too expensive or difficult. Thus, after taking a hot shower, the entire the room became humid/damp -- be prepared. Due to COVID, there is no housekeeping service (which I honestly prefer). We asked for one additional towel upon arrival and they were happy to deliver to the room about 20 minutes later. Request a room overlooking their courtyard, not the street side. You'll thank me. Lastly, parking isn’t so much of an issue as it is a game. The hotel offers valet for $37/night and it will take a minimum of 15 minutes for your car to be available. Don’t do it. You can self-park in the garage next door (see photo) for approximately $9/night. I say “approximately” because it went up to $20 when the Indians were playing baseball and one night there was a baseball game AND a concert at Rocket Mortgage Field House. It was $50 that night. By the time we returned to the hotel that evening, the garage was full as was the one across the street. We tried to park in the casino garage just to the west with no luck as we didn’t have a player’s card. Ended up parking to the north about 0.3 miles away in the BBVA Bank public garage for about $10. All in all it was a good stay. I’m grateful for those that wrote about their experiences so we were prepared.

Overall I would stay at this hotel again because it was very clean and newly renovated plus the location is perfect. The baseball field is across the street, plenty of restaurants in the area, the Arcade is a short walk as well as the Jack casino (not sure if you’d want to go to Jack since it was in a questionable part of town). The hotel room it’s self was very clean, quite, but small. You need to close the bathroom door to use the toilet. They give you two bath towels and smaller than usual complementary soaps. You only get one bar of soap which means you have to use it in the shower and to wash your hands.
Valet parking is $36 but you can park in the most ran down parking structure right next door for $10-15 during the day and $9 over night.

We stayed at two different Hotel Indigo’s during our mini vacation. This was the second one.
Check-in was pretty quick and seamless until we entered our queen double room to find another family already in the room. The front desk quickly gave us a different room with one king bed instead. (Others we’re also having this problem.)
The next challenge is shown in the photo. The toilet paper is literally 6 feet away from the toilet. We aren’t sure if this was an issue with our room only. We chose to remove the TP and leave it on the counter instead.
Other inconvenient issues included there was only one teeny-tiny bar of soap to use both for washing hands and in the shower and the discovery that there was no creamer, powder or liquid, with our Keurig. The first Hotel Indigo had none of these issues and was quite lovely.

We stayed in this hotel on a mini vacation and the location was great for what we needed. The hotel seemed to be a little understaffed but those we encountered were very accommodating. The outside courtyard was very pleasant to have a cocktail. The room was very nice,, spacious and well appointed. But there were some little things that were bothersome. The toilet paper was 6 ft away from The toilet! They never replenished the soaps etc and we had to ask for the room to be serviced because they don’t service them everyday because of COVID. . There was no hot water one morning because the basement flooded. It was fixed quickly but a cold shower is not the way I want to wake up on vacation. We also ran out of coffee supplies., we tried to use the restaurant a couple of times as the menu looked very good but they were closed for private parties. We did manage a breakfast. When the very attentive waitress poured my coffee, the cup had lipstick on it! Valet parking was expensive but handy. I don’t think we would stay in this hotel again,

Stayed at the Hotel Indigo on a last-minute trip to Cleveland. It’s basically a Holiday Inn Express with funkier decor. The hotel is in a good location, within walking distance of the baseball stadium, basketball arena, casino, and countless bars and restaurants. We walked to the lakefront/Rock n Roll Hall of Fame area too, though that’s a bit farther away. The hotel charges $37 a night for valet parking but there is a self-park garage right next door that was $5 to park overnight when we were there, and street parking as well, though those spaces would be unavailable and the garage way more expensive on a gameday. We visited on a Friday night so we would expect a little more noise from the streets, but there were motorcycles and loud cars racing up and down the street past midnight, and you could clearly hear conversations from the sidewalk and outdoor bar seating areas on the block in our room on the fifth floor. The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot (after a long warmup time), and there were plenty of outlets and USB ports for charging. The hotel bar had a good beer list too. But if you’re a light sleeper or want to turn in before midnight on a Friday, be aware of the potential for noise.

We stayed here for 3 nights, the room was spacious and very modern. We somehow ended up in a disability access room, which is fine, but the shower, which we understand is built to accommodate a disabled person, had a shower curtain that did not keep the water from spraying all over the bathroom floor, which caused us to have to use our towels to mop up the pools of water from the floor. We were not told that the rooms were not to be serviced so when we returned to the room in the late afternoon, we found all of our wet towels still on the floor of the bathroom. We called down to the front desk to request towel service and had to remind them twice that we needed towels before they were brought to our room. We should have been informed at check in that there would be no service of the rooms. One elevator was broken when we checked in on Wednesday, and was broken the whole time we were there, then on check out day the second and third elevators were out of service, which caused us to have to walk down 8 flights of stairs with all of our luggage, which isn't easy for someone with bad knees. They did compensate us by taking 50% off the last night charges, which was appreciated. Valet parking was expensive, but convenient. Because the location was so good, we would probably stay again.

Kacee, thank you for choosing our awesome Downtown location. There is so much excitement right outside our doors I love you did not miss a moment of it! Although we are happy your overall experience was delightful, we are so sorry for the few missed moments to ensure a completely satisfying stay. We have resolved the elevators and I will look into those showers next to see what we can do! I am regretful you missed our updated procedures for housekeeping and I will let the team know how important it is to convey this when guests arrive. While we make these adjustments, I am confident your next stay will be worthy of that last star!

We stayed here for three nights. We went to two baseball games and the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Both, along with many other things, are within walking distance of this hotel. Our room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfy. Bathroom was clean. Due to Covid they aren't cleaning rooms but you can go ask for more towels if needed. I wouldn't recommend eating breakfast there...very expensive and slow service. The front desk people were all very helpful and nice. We used valet parking and when the sign says allow a minimum of 15 minutes for them to get your car...it's true. There is only one person doing this job...so just plan ahead. We would definitely stay here again

We stayed two nights to look at colleges and attend a baseball game. The location is great for getting to the ballpark. The issue is that the restaurants in the area seem to be just coming back from the shut down so most evenings it was hard to find food because of unpredictable hours.
I get the feeling the hotel is understaffed, but the front desk and valet staff were helpful.
The room is a little odd. The bathroom is at an angle, so it seems even smaller than it is. You have to fully enter to be able to close the door and a few of the towels had stains. Like the other reviewers have mentioned, the toilet paper holder seems almost out of reach.

Hotel Indigo in Downtown Cleveland is definitely worth a stay. Just across the street from the Rocket Mortgage Arena, the hotel is a perfect location for those attending sporting events and concerts. The hotel is modern and clean. The staff were all pleasant and professional. There is a small restaurant inside the hotel which is perfect for breakfast or a bite before an event. Our room was a King room with plenty of space, a large TV, coffeemaker, king size bed, and sofa.

We were there in March and the hotel was still under the name Hotel Cleveland Gateway. I can’t attest to the other rooms, but the one I stayed in wasn’t “remodeled” by any means. It’s a good hotel for the price and close to the Q.
They flat out refused to tell me of any alternate parking. I found it fraudulent. It's a downtown area so there are parking garages and lots but it was cold and we were only there one night. So we went ahead a paid to have a stranger in our car for a ridiculous cost. The location was really nice though. They weren't rude so much as not helpful. Like, asking the server at the little bar area resulted in a quick "don't know" response. And they practically turned the lights off while we were having drinks because they closed at 8:12 on a Saturday night..... Just weird. But the hotel was clean. No complaints. But absolutely nothing special and you'll need to factor in 29.00 a night for the car.
There are more places to choose from in the Cleveland area.
