This hotel chain always make their customers feel very welcome and comfortable. I've been spoiled. However, I was a little disappointed when the maid cheaped out on coffee pods, they didn't top it up the following morning; they also forgot to leave face cloths in the washroom and they had no complimentary toothbrush available. This won't stop me from staying here again.

Nice and new, this is the place to stay in North Battleford. Rooms are comfortable and spacious. Beds and linens are amazing. Pool area is very nice with a welcoming atmosphere. The young ladies who work the front desk and complimentary breakfast area are very friendly and efficient. I look forward to working in this area of Saskatchewan because of this hotel.

The hotel looks beautiful, however we never ended up staying here. In November, I went through the proper channels to do a group block for a hockey team wanting to stay for a February tournament in the Battlefords area that had opened up and signed up for. It took 15 days for someone to call me back. During the first bit, I called every few days (both the direct hotel number and the overhead IHG line). I kept getting told that a manager will call me back in 24 hours. The calls were never received. The last 7 days I called every day, still no returned call. Finally, day 15 I got a call back and finalized my block, but all the regular rooms were 'no longer available' and our only options were suits that were up to $170/night. The manager I talked to at the time offered a great discount for the inconvenience and we were happy. However, I never did get email confirmation to show this or the price. Just a confirmation #.
Later, as the families on my team booked their rooms, there was no discount being reflected. They were questioning me, which resulted in connecting with the hotel again to only hear a sob story from Gagan, the manager who had taken over since I completed my group booking. She claimed they were not honouring the discount as it was the past manager and essentially not her problem.
We had a few phone calls/emails with them finally offering each family a $5/night discount (on a $170 room) or a $20 discount for just me. I refused the discount for just myself as this is a team. In realizing I wasn't getting anywhere, I asked if they would compensate a meeting room for us to utilize however I didn't really want it. She responded that she booked us the meeting room and it was $150 for the evening. I responded again and re-asked if they would compensate it. No response.
A week later, I get a phone call from Gagan telling me I need to communicate with my team the situation, that they were not offering us the initial discount anymore as they were getting complaints from my families as we they were booking. I told her that I had communicated the change to them and of course they are upset with the situation. I mentioned to her there has been no care or customer service by her hotel and I planned to leave a review after my stay sharing my experience.
Gagan told me she would like to settle this before check in to ensure there is no issues, so I asked her what she was going to do about it. She said she would call me back. I received an email from her an hour later (not a call) stating my "threats" for leaving a negative review was unacceptable and they were CANCELLING our block and release all the rooms.
Thank you for cancelling our block, as I called another hotel who went ABOVE AND BEYOND to gather my team enough rooms, they were more affordable, and they have way better waterslides.

I will never stay at this place ever again in my life and will let everyone I know passing through to avoid this place. My wife and I reserved a room a few hours before arriving to North Battleford. When we arrived there were people just dropped off from a large bus. I should’ve known better than to check in but we needed a good sleep for next days travels. The staff checking us in definitely seemed overwhelmed with the group. The girl that checked us in never had me fill out any paperwork as she was too busy with personal texts that I could see briefly. I really didn’t know if she was taking pictures of my Visa card or not. She took my card number and gave us room card and carried on texting. By 10 pm the hallways were busy with younger people running up and down banging doors and such. My wife called the front desk to complain. Nothing was resolved. By 11:30 pm I called the front desk and was told that they have no access to the security cameras. I then told her we would be leaving and better not be getting charged for a situation that they couldn’t control. I talked with the front desk girl as we left and she figured that I could be refunded. We then drove 3 hours at midnight and then slept in our car for a few hours. We waited a few days for refund and nothing was done. I called again. A young man then told me that it would take 5-7 days. Still no refund. I proceeded to call there to talk with the manager about the situation but she was always busy and couldn’t talk. Her puppets kept telling me that it’s not their policy to refund money to customers. I’m making it my policy to tell people to avoid that place and let others know that there is absolutely no customer service. I felt that they stole from me by charging me $182 for a situation that they couldn’t control. I would’ve settled for a refund as I understand that they couldn’t control the issue of unruly people.

Hotel is great, exactly what you would want and expect, clean, comfortable, and quiet. It was the staff that made this the best hotel stay I’ve ever had - we were able to check in excessively early to get ready for the wedding we were in town to attend. Gurpreet answered all my husbands traveller questions about hours on at all nearby attractions, she remembered us when the wedding was over and offered us soooooo much complimentary loot. She also made sure we had a chance to use the pool/slide and hot tub when we got back with our wedding party! She made sure we were taken care of and didn’t want for anything. She deserves a big raise and maybe for someone to just give her the hotel because she’s doing a phenomenal job running it and keeping guests happy.

Must have been a crack or fault in the bathroom glass shower door, instantly shattered while my 6 year old was showering!!!! Lucky he didn’t get seriously injured!!! Cuts on his body and glass was pulled out of his foot. They switched us rooms and gave us bandaids for him but next day charged us for the damages which a 6 year old could not break a glass door that easily! All the lady said was policy, policy with a grin on her face and would not let me talk to a manager but only the maintenance man. Not even one apology.

My room smelled very strongly of incense to the point where I had to wash everything in my suitcase when I got home because the smell came with me. In all fairness the staff did offer a room change but I declined due to the late hour and being tired from a long drive. The door security latch was also broken and the toilet wobbled. Outside of the room though the breakfast was quite good and staff very friendly and professional. Lots of security cameras in the hallways and common areas.

I stayed in North Battleford for a couple of weeks for work. The staff at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites were very friendly and made me feel like a valued customer. The rooms were always clean and very comfortable. Would recommend to anyone for work of leisure.
