Front desk staff was pleasant. Easy checkin. Rooms are spacious. Only chair is office style chair so not comfortable to sit fir extended periods of time. Mattress needs replacing. Very uncomfortable as were all 4 pillows. So not a great notes sleep. Housekeeping only available upon request. Didn't have a bath mat. Asked first extra towels on 3rd day & one towel was left on the refrigerator stand. Only had breakfast once & was standard fair. Location near many restaurants & easy on & off the highway.

In the area for the weekend and chose this hotel from previous reviews and location. Hotel very modern, clean and new. Lobby is very colorful and offers plenty of areas to hang out. Coffee is offered all day long, which is a nice touch. Stayed in room with king size bed. Very modern with soaps, shampoos, body lotion on wall near sink and in shower. Nice touch, but at times, not so easy to squeeze to get amount that was needed. Bathroom nice with walk in shower, but fan runs constantly, no on/off swich. Bed was comfortable, but the pillows are horrible. Way too soft and uncomfortable. Bring your own! Room was near stairwell so hearing the door close at times was annoying. Location was within 5 miles of anywhere we travelled. Would stay there again due to location, cleanliness of hotel and reasonable price. Notes to self, ask for room away from stairwell and bring pillows!

I have to tell you, I travel a lot and stay in a lot of places, but this one is impressive for the price point. Have you ever heard of a noon check out as a standard procedure? It’s like pulling teeth other places to get them to extend past 11 AM. This alone, will be why I will book with TRU before any other hotel.

I would like to make one suggestion for this location though.
The set up in the fitness center makes no sense whatsoever. I am on the treadmill for one hour every day, but the TV is behind me, and the treadmill does not have a TV. I don’t care to watch the basketball court, it’s just kids playing, and I want to see the TV. Please consider turning at least one treadmill around to face the TV. I stay here often.

Another plus for this location, is that you can walk over to several restaurants, movie theater, and Costco. Longhorn steakhouse has the best burgers I’ve ever had.

We were very disappointed by the condition of our room (#324). There were blood spatters on the wall behind the toilet paper holder, and on the back of the bathroom door. This would be unacceptable at any time, but especially during COVID, and makes me question the cleaning protocols. Additionally, there was a musty smell in the room.

The room was not well-stocked and did not have enough towels for three people. It was out of hand soap and shower gel when we arrived, and the seemingly disposable toiletry containers had not been switched out from the previous guests. We let the front desk know about the towels and hand soap on our way out to dinner (no one had noticed the blood or the shower gel yet), and they did bring us more towels and another hand soap, but they left the new hand soap on the counter rather than inserting it in the dispenser, and did not remove the old one. Finally, there was a coffee stain on my bed sheets.

Regarding the breakfast, many of the hot items we were told about on arrival were unavailable. There were no eggs, and only oatmeal. There were no cold drinks available, and the water dispensers at the front desk were empty.

We did not notify the front desk about the blood spatter or shower gel immediately because we did not return to our room after dinner until late and were unaware of those issues until people started using the bathroom to shower and get ready for bed. At that point it seemed too late to change rooms. We did notify the front desk about the blood spatter on the way out, and the front desk clerk seemed appropriately disgusted but did not offer much in terms of rectifying the situation.

Since arriving home I have emailed Hilton with no response. Very disappointing. Will think twice before staying at a Tru by Hilton again.

In my opinion, Tru by Hilton is designed to reap maximum profit for the corporation by skimping on the amenities you would normally find at a Hilton property. The rooms are designed much like many newer chains in Europe. The rooms are small. The bathrooms are not supplied with soap bars, rather they have squeeze bottles mounted on the wall for soap, shampoo and conditioner. No guest laundry provided. Breakfast was almost as good as any Hampton Inn. And all this for $158 per night booked three months ago. Not impressed and will go back to Hamptons, HI Express and Courtyards.

Stayed here overnight while traveling to the North East on a Tuesday night. We are Diamond members and utilize the online check in services when available. It allows you to choose your room and get a digital key (in some cases). We had done this but the digital key was not working, so we went to the desk to get a key card. The gentleman working had not acknowledged us when we arrived (usually at least a greeting us given) and was actually outside smoking, visiting with someone sitting outside and on his phone when we came back down for a key card. He pulled himself away to get us the key card, surprisingly not even checking ID or our check in information. No mention of being Diamond members (we have done this enough to know they have a practice of saying “thank you for staying with us and being a Diamond member” and then offering water or something else. None of that…. He appeared to have no interest in us as customers.

The room was clean and everything else about the place was nice. Always appreciate the lotion, soap and shampoo dispensers in room. The rooms are simple and modern which allows for a reasonable stay, especially when just a quick overnight stop. It is Located next to a Costco and small shopping area so it was easy to find gas and a place to eat - very convenient. The water filling stations at Tru are appreciated and we always have our refillable bottles along when we travel. Breakfast is available - omelets, sausage, pancakes, yogurt, cereals, juice and coffee. At breakfast the Coffee was out but when we mentioned it, the morning clerk gladly brought out a new pot.

Hilton uses COVID as an excuse for poor service. room ventilation was terrible! The AC system would not operate after you left the room (motion detectors I assume). Rooms are not serviced for cleaning, sheets, or towels in 10 days.

Clean and quiet rooms. Easy to get to in and around highway travel and access to restaurants/shopping. Staff helpful and friendly, knowledgeable of surrounding community. Great sleep. Uses reduced-waste (no travel-size soaps, water bottle refill station) and recycling practices. Healthy snack options at desk kiosk.

Overnight for some youth hockey games. First time in a Tru. They try very hard to be hip - colors, furnishings, etc. Most of our hockey trips we get a group rate that's pretty good, this was a bit more than our normal. Room was super clean. No carpet, which looks great, but I prefer carpet on the floor when I first wake up. No closet - hip industrial metal bar; a sweet rack over the HVAC and stickers to encourage you to put luggage under the end of the beds (plenty of room). No desk, but a rollable table.

Our view was a Costco warehouse, but again, this is a hotel, not a resort.

Bathroom was huge and spotless. Really nice standup shower.

Breakfast was normal hotel fare. Lobby was fun and they us hang in the evening. Staff hung out first thing the morning (before housekeeping got to work?) but was super responsive to everyone need.

We found the hotel’s lack of housekeeping policy on a small card under the tv. If you aren’t going to provide housekeeping post it conspicuously so guests see it and are aware of the policy. Also, my wife got locked out of our room, due to dead batteries. Replace batteries during routine maintenance, not at 11pm, which woke me up.
