Tahiti Village Resort & Spa is often celebrated for its lovely atmosphere and prime location near the Vegas Strip, complete with a shuttle for easy exploration. While the pool and lazy river are highlights, guests have encountered crowdedness and upkeep issues. Accommodations are spacious but have received mixed feedback regarding cleanliness and state of repair. Visitors frequently criticize the resort for unexpected fees, questioning the value offered. Service quality varies, with both commendable and disappointing accounts, and cleanliness levels appear inconsistent, despite well-groomed grounds.

We checked in on Friday. I can’t remember the lady who checked us in, but customer service was great! They even allowed us to check in early, which I truly appreciated.
The room was beautiful at first glance; however, I came in to clean before we “moved in.” While cleaning, I noticed the cabinet handles were corroded and the ice pick was rusty or dirty.
Friday night, we had to wait over 2 hours (past 11pm) to receive bedding for the sofa bed. I feel the bedding should’ve been in the room prior to check-in, or the maintenance person could’ve provided an option to pick it up. We called 3x before receiving it. It was Labor Day weekend, so I’m sure that’s the reason it took so long.
Having food delivered was a pain because we would have to walk to the check in area. If you’re ordering Denny’s, it’s best to walk there and pick it up.My final concern is the with the non-working, or poorly working power outlets in the bedroom.

The lazy river was open, and beautiful. Customer service was great throughout the remainder of the stay.

Hello! Thank you for your comments and review! We are very happy to know that our staff was helpful during your stay and you loved the amenities! We are very sorry that the ice pick was dirty, please know that you can call the Front Desk at any time and they will be able to bring a new one up to you! In regards to the bedding, we are very sorry that it took over two hours for it to be delivered and as we were busy during Labor Day that is no excuse and we should have had it up to you sooner and we are very sorry about that. We hope to see you again soon.

My Fiancé and I stayed here for a week in July 2021 it has a great location next to the South Vegas Outlets. We stayed in the Bora Bora Suite with a full Kitchen, Living room, Washer and Dryer, dual Vanity sinks jacuzzi tub steam shower. Its just close enough you can get to the strip easily as well as jump on the freeway. The Luau on Sunday was awesome drinks were limited but still good a little expensive if you want a souvenir cup though. Only complaint about the Luau is you pay over $100 for two people but still have to pay for anything that isnt tap water. The only downfall of when we went besides the Luau drink thing is the adult Jacuzzi was closed the entire time so while its a family resort the one Jacuzzi open was always full of kids and not available to the adults who wanted to relax.

We have been coming to Las Vegas for several years and love staying at Tahiti Village. The staff makes us feel like family. They remember us from m previous stays
We love the front desk manager Jose who goes out of his way to accommodate our room requests and to make sure that we are happy. Everyone from the front desk agents, to Calvin the bellman who brings our bags and luggage to our room, the staff in the Wiki Wiki gift shop who save a daily paper for us, maintenance guys who respond quickly if something in the room needs attention, the housekeepers who do an excellent job cleaning and bringing extra amenities when we call, the bartenders in the restaurant who give us ideas of what to do in Vegas .. they all make us feel like pampered and welcome guests.
We love the grounds and pool and lazy river. The shuttle takes you down the strip so you don’t have to drive or Uber. There are numerous activities for the family to participate in. We have many friends and family who have stayed with us here and they love it too.

Booked a room for my son's birthday in this resort, we were waiting in the car to get to the main entrance for 15 minutes. All of sudden, many people out of the car and the line is just stuck at the main entrance. I got out of the car to check-in first but saw a huge line with some confusing sticker on the ground, everyone was confused how is the line go. There are a few hotel staff direct people into the line but they could have just add a few divided so people know where is the line start.

After standing for 50 minutes finally get our room at 5p.m. with a crying baby and grumpy bored small children. Asked for a quiet room since my baby is very sensitive to the noise (not even asking for a view), the staff was annoyed said our hotel is very full he can't promise anything. Well, you could have response in a better manner. Then we got the key back to the car ( the car line is still there) we skipped over the line drive up to tower 1 to drop off of luggage. There is a lot of free parking in the back next to the pool.

The room was clean but dated, we got a jr 1 bed 1 soft pulled out kitchen room at 6th floor, the TV was broken can't even turn on. The blended is not working and the microwave burned my paper bowl on fire ( just heated for 2 minutes) I quickly turned it off. The sofa bed was hard and smelly, the blanket is very thin and the pillow in the bedroom was very cheap, small and not comfy.

After coming to stay at this hotel the second night from Mandalay Bay, our family were really disappointed. We pay even $30 more to stay here. I do like the complimentary floaties for the lazy river and the kids loved the deco around lazy river. 24 hrs Denny's is nice, but we went to nearby iHop for breakfast. Location is next to premiums outlet is good for a little shopping before heading the road. 10 a.m. check out is ridiculous, we can't even do a morning swim.

We chose here because it was recommended by another family who stayed before. Based on our experience this time, we are definitely not coming back.

Please know that this is not our standard or our norm and we really do apologize that. We understand that with children, waiting can be difficult and we are sorry that the room wasn't ready sooner and that there was no communication with you as to when it was ready. We are sorry that you did not like our rooms and the pillows were not comfortable for you. We will pass along this message to management to review and address. Again, we are truly sorry and we hope in the future you could give us another chance to make a more favorable impression.

Great facility if you want to get off the strip. January is not a good month for visits to the pool, but this is one of the few properties that you could actually go poolside. Pool is kid friendly. Shuttle to the Strip is very handy as rental cars in Las Vegas are ridiculously expensive when you factor taxes and fees are more than the base rental cost. Rooms with kitchens also help avoid the high cost of meals. Staff at this property are welcoming and try to make your stay pleasant.

Very nicely themed resort in a good location on the south end of the Las Vegas strip. It took 2 hours standing in a line to check-in. The one bedroom room was a nice size. The partial kitchen has less features than any of the other timeshares we've stayed in since 1989. There is a microwave, sink, tiny college sized refrigerator, and a coffeemaker. The refrigerator was set on the coldest setting, but didn't keep food very cold. The freezer compartment isn't cold enough to keep ice cream from melting. There were only 3 coffee mugs and 4 small plates in the kitchen. There were no knives, forks, spoons, glasses, bowls, or dinner plates. There was also only one bottle of shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. There was no spare roll of toilet paper. No soaps, dish washing liquid, dish towel, or dish cloth. Told the employee that was cleaning another room and she said to call the concierge. Spent 45 minutes on hold until someone picked up. It took another 2 hours to receive only some of what we requested. We never got dinner plates, toilet paper, dish washing liquid, dish towel, or dish cloth. Furniture is worn, dirty and needs to be replaced. There is a showerhead in a tub. The showerhead is fixed and does not pivot, plus there is only full on or full off. So you can't prevent getting blasted full force in the face, unless you are practically kissing the front wall. The bed should be replaced since it provides no support; you sink deep into it and awake with a stiff back. Good view of the 7/4 fireworks from the 10th floor lounge balcony. Update: Fire alarm went off for about one minute on Wednesday 7/7 morning at 9am. Tried to call the front desk, concierge, operator, and housekeeping to see if it was a test or real emergency. All lines gave fast busy signal. Went outside, no firetruck arrived so we went back in. Tried every few hours throughout the day to call all of the numbers and had the same results. At 6pm, tried using cell phone to call in from the outside and it took one hour for someone to pickup. Given the cost of these timeshares and maintenance fees, the service here is totally unacceptable. We will not be back.

When I first arrived on Friday on time they told me I had to wait at least 2 hours for my room or take a handicap room. Then the showers were skinny and odd and could not change shower setting. I checked in on Friday and on Sunday the fire alarm started beeping. No one answered any calls to maintenance, front desk or concierge until 3 days later on Wednesday. They said they would send someone, no one showed. I called on Thursday and they finally sent someone to fixed the fire alarm. I had to check out by 10 am the next morning so I spent Sunday afternoon till Thursday night listening to beep !!! Every 5-10 minutes. I pay over 10 k a year fir my timeshare. You would think that with that much money spent they would make sure your stay is pleasant And better take your own TP and trash bags because they don’t answer there phone’s 😡

My wife and I stayed in a one bedroom with partial kitchen in Tower 1. Check in was easy and our requested room facing the pool on a higher floor was granted. We enjoyed both the main pool and lazy river. Beds and pillows were comfortable. The partial kitchen had good size half fridge, microwave, sink, and silverware and plates/bowls. There was a tv in the living area and in the bedroom. A couple minor issues: the bathroom sink was leaking out the top but it wasn’t a big enough problem to call maintenance and ice machine was broken in the building for 2 days.

You def need a car if staying here. Also, a car is nice because you can explore other restaurants off the strip and visit the surrounding areas. On this trip we day tripped to Grand Canyon, Zion NP, Valley of Fire, and Lake Meade.

We kept coming back to Tahiti Village because we loved it so much. This is our 3rd time there. It is our favorite place in Las Vegas.

This time is different, however. We were very disappointed because the quality and service had gone down “south”. Unfortunately, you failed this time. It was so frustrating because this is not the Tahiti Village we have known and loved. It is not well maintained anymore. A lot of items are broken or missing in the rooms (we had 2 separate units for 8 people). One remote did not work. All it needed were fresh, new batteries, but they insisted on sending “engineering” to look at it, who never came. We had to beg for cookware for 2 days until they gave us incomplete sets. The units are not clean. The microwave is filthy. The disposer and sink smelled foul. Housekeeping rushed to get the rooms ready. And we still had to wait to get checked in at 7 pm. We actually had to buy a Swiffer wet jet to clean the dirty floors because it made my little grand children’s feet black as they like to run barefooted.

I had to come down to the front desk to get sheets, blankets, clean towels, detergents, toilet papers, etc. When I call for stuff, I was ignored and had to call again to get them to bring them up. And it still took several hours to get them. The pools and spas were also nasty with dirty water and debris.

To top it all, the staff are all grumpy and unfriendly. They used to be cheerful, courteous, friendly, and accommodating. That’s all gone. I’d like to mention that RIO at the front desk tried her best to make us happy and fill our needs despite the situation. We understand that there is a shortage of workers because of the pandemic. And we know that Tahiti Village is no exception. So we might wait a few years before we come back and enjoy what it used to be.

This was our second stay at Tahiti Village, our first being in January 2020. We saw noticeable differences between the stays, not due to Covid but due to new management. Overall, the property was well prepared for Covid safety. While the property required masks, had floor markings to facilitate social distancing and limited elevator crowds to only one family at a time the cleanliness of the pool and lazy river areas was lacking. The tables and chairs in the pool area were filthy as evidenced by the black residue that came off as we wiped them with disinfecting wipes. Black residue lined parts of the lazy river and pool sides. The patio near the sand beach of the pool was covered with sand that was never swept away while we were there. The bottom of the pool was also dirty in areas. In contrast, the rooms were very clean however we had problems with the plumbing in our room. When the tub drained a loud bubbling sound came from the sink and often created a sewer smell. We had maintenance check the problem but they were unable to fix it due to what they decided was a clog in the main line that would clear itself. While the staff was extremely friendly they were not always helpful. The lifeguards at the pool area did little to regulate the behavior of some of the more obnoxious guests (intoxicated). During the busier weekend, parts of the pool were closed for part of the day even though extra lifeguards were present. The result was that people were crowded into a smaller area making social distancing more difficult. We often smelled pot in the outdoor areas of the property (not allowed) and reported it but it was a recurring problem. In general, the civility of the guests was much poorer during our second visit and we are wondering why. In summary, this property is making a good attempt to serve its guests well but needs to be more proactive in cleanliness of pool areas and in enforcing the rules of the property.
