Beachcomber is a beautiful camground with many amenities and great staff. That said, you can't invite anyone into the campground-even by paying the $10 visitor fee, for a couple of hours to share dinner with friends. The minimum 2 day full pay on your registration fee is not only excessive but absurd. In 52 years of rving throughout the entire U.S., I've NEVER heard of this rule. Also, after paying $96 per night, I don't find paying of a shower in their facility necessary. Unfortunately, I won't be returning any time soon.

I was very worried going here for the first time after seeing the reviews, I wasn’t as disappointed when we got there. Camping in a pop up with family of 4 and a dog, it would of been nice if their sites had stones put down more freaks anything. By the end of the trip and a bit of rain on the last day everything is filthy, however the site was very shaded. They seem to always be cleaning the restrooms. It was “Halloween” theme week, which was rather lame. They had trick or treating for kids in the MIDDLE of the afternoon. My kids didn’t want to at that point so hot out and who wants melted candy. We were looking forward to a “party with music” and a bon fire on the beach Saturday. The speaker was so small and quiet couldn’t hear anything and they had food for sale food price but NOT a party. They had a hyponist show and tarot card reader you had to pay for not into either. A live band or dj on the weekend in their decent size pavilion would of been great! My kids were all excited cuz in the pics of the lake there were many showing a water trampoline and slide! NOPE. All 3 pools no diving boards or slides and rather our dates and kind of dirty. Not nice lounge chairs wooden planks to sit on. The park is large and nice it’s in sand but very outdated “random “ equipment. If they place gets some upgrading I will be back. I did enjoy it was so close to wildwood beach and boardwalk . My kids weren’t thrilled with it so that’s the biggest issue we had. It was nice they picked up your trash at front of your campsite and check in was rather early 2 and check out later than most places 12. If they do some upgrades we will be back. Staff was always nice. Didn’t see any forcing of any rules except “don’t climb on the elephant we put into the playground “

Stayed for a weekend, overall pretty happy with the campgrounds with one complaint. The bathroom and showers closest to our site were closed. Nice to have these open when friends stopped over for a visit or just not waiting for a shower when RV is busy. I know it’s not in season yet but open them up. They charge extra if more than two adults are in your RV. Golf cart rentals were very reasonable. Facilities were clean, check in and out was easy. Overall I was pleased and would return.

Had to change locations due to the corona-virus. Should have figured this out upon making the reservations. We had 7 total people and I really don't know what difference 1 more person makes when you are not using their facilities. We have a class a motor home which is 40 feet. There roads are not wide enough to accommodate and maneuver a large unit. Put an easy up for the picnic table and was advised to take it down so no one could sleep there. No one was sleeping there anyway our unit sleeps 10. Had to take it down, now mind you we were in an ultra VIP spot which you would think comes with perks well it doesn't. Pool hours say they open at 10 well you never know if it 10, 11, 12 or later because it never opens at the same time. And it closes at 6 PM, that is crazy. Also people in the office were very rude and didn't seem like they cared whether we were unhappy or not. Also they charge in their bath houses 25 cents for 5 minutes, that's crazy. Washer and dryer costs $1.75 per each load and dryers took 2 times to dry. Couldn't use the paddle boats or kayaks due to Covid19 so we were told. Nothing was ever posted about what was closed or open. The WiFi was worthless and one member of our group purchased WiFi and still couldn't use it. We had work meetings to attend and couldn't use the internet because of their useless WiFi. Thank god we had our hot spot with us but only one could use it on the computer at a time. We couldn't get a satellite signal do to the trees so they have cable. Not - the cable boxes do not work with the newer televisions and we had a very nice repair man come and he couldn't get it to work either, well no big deal. This by far was the worst camping experience we have every encountered. Would not recommend this to worst enemy.

My wife and I booked a trip for our anniversary and a weekend with our family. The campground is in excellent shape, and if it wasn't for the virus I'm sure the use of the pool and other facilities would have been enjoyable. The rest of the experience was disappointing. The management is only concerned about one thing and that's the money. We were overcharged for the amount of people on our site, we were charged extra for another vehicle, we were charged to use the shower. All the while 1/2 of the facilities were closed and not available. They only cared about what they could get you to pay and not how enjoyable your stay was gonna be. The security acted like you were an unwanted guest every time you entered the gate, and acted like you were a hassle any time you needed to pick up some wood. The camp store checkout was ridiculous , waited 30 minutes with just two people in line to buy a bag of ice. The overall trip just felt like we shouldn't have been there. We will not be going back.

For starters I've been at this camp a few time. I would say its a bit overrated with the quality of the sites ( bench tables are old and full of Sapp ) ruined my shorts, when I first arrived at my camp site I could not maneuver my camper in my sport due to trees the roadway. My 50 amp connection was not working so we waited for a service guy to show and altimenly my bedroom tv blew. Didn't find out till we went to bed. Water pressure was terrible so good luck taking a shower. We rented a site for a whole week thinking we would have a golf cart available for the week but NO we had to return it on a Thursday morning without exceptions. I guess it dont matter how much money you spend. Don't think i would ever come back to this place. My rating out of a 1 to 10 I would rate it 3.

Love the Beachcomber! We just got back from our 8th yearly visit and miss it already. BC is 15 minutes from the Wildwood boardwalk and 20 minutes to the beautiful beaches of Cape May, the location couldn't be better. The staff has always been friendly and helpful and willing to share their favorite places along the shore. We camp with our small trailer in the 700 section that can be a little noisy at night but our neighbors have always been friendly and courteous. Already looking forward to next July!

As first time campers we were excited to start our adventure camping. We searched areas and chose this resort. We believed this would be a great experience for grandkids and family but from the first day there were issues. Upon arriving our camper was being delivered from the dealer and we arrived around 10. I was told there were campers on the site and the camper could not be deliver until after 2. At that point the dealer was told to wait at Walmart parking lot and they would call me when the campers leave. I waited and around 1 I called and was told to come.
The dealer tried to maneuver this unit in for 20 minutes and finally had success.
At looking at the site, the pad was dirty and there was no picnic table which made me realize that there were no campers there. strike one!
So being that we were new I had to shop for groceries, get additional supplies etc. and brought my second vehicle to unload. I had a young man tell me I had to move my vehicle, which I explained what I was doing. I had my vehicle there as I was going in an out all day. Finally later in the day on my last run They had security come and tell me we had 3 violations about the vehicle, I just got there!! really? Strike 2!
Now I had inquired about Seasonal which I was told that I would have to put a deck on by their park for 4000.00! OMG.. 3 steps and a platform. There is not more than 800 of wood and that is a high estimate. Strike 3!
The cable boxes are so antique that they do not work with any new TV. Needless to say it would not work. I called Comcast in reference as the instructions say and they had indicated to bring in the box for refresh which I did. I was given new boxes which I had told the maintenance man and he said they were our box. Well I guess they have new ones now. Strike 4!
Now finally a golf cart was taken down for my husband who has a back disability. I was told to drop it and that my step son could not go in and deliver because of COVID no guest... if that was the case then why could transient campers come in etc.?
To make a long story short he did go To help his father. Strike 5!
We are a long term campsite and have paid over 5000 to have a peaceful time. This has not been peaceful when I have to challenge management.
As previous reviews have said this is a clean camp area, beautiful but it seems they are in it for the dollars. The ladies up front are very helpful but older security man is really off the hook.
Needless to say I will not be at this campsite next year. Too many charges every time you turn around and too many restrictive “ encforements”

Had an ant issues. Donnies came and sprayed, we left the cabin for the day and removed all food from cabin. Upon returning the wall of the cabin was covered with hundreds of ants. Brought videos to office and manager and was refused any compensation. Whatever was sprayed in the cabin attracted more ants. I was completely disappointed in management and owner. Owner would not speak to me and refused and compensation. Def. will not stay at this camp ground again. Not worth the money

Randy and Debbie wrote a review Oct 2020
We stayed in a rental unit here in August and decided to come back with our travel trailer in September. Looking around the campground we choose an area that was suited to our liking. We made a reservation for a week long stay and were assigned a site number. Our son decided to bring his travel trailer mid week and join us. Explaining to the staff that he would like to be in the same general area as his parents, he was also assigned a site. Upon arriving, I was informed that because my unit was smaller, I was moved to a site on the other side of the complex. This was also an "Ultra VIP" site. In reality, it was a tiny site composed of dirt, leaves acorns half eaten by squirrels , a moldy picnic table past its prime and a telephone pole in the middle of the entrance. I realize that the "sites are not guaranteed" fine print is in every campground's agreement form but this was done for pure greed. They wanted to fit just one more camper into the area for a weekend so that the site that I was assigned sat empty for most of the week. Being older, walking to our sons campsite was out of the question and driving was not allowed as their strict policy is only one vehicle allowed per campsite. This was a place I thought I might come to often but won't be back as I can't take a chance on this happening again. I will say that the staff was friendly, but it looks like the owners put the dollar above satisfaction.

Hi, There are fans in the teepees, and with the design it does not get very hot inside. Now that we are getting some fall weather, it should be more comfortable
