Detailed Reviews

We have stayed here a few times. Always felt safe and comfortable. It is not luxurious, yet a couple of permanent residents reached out to give the sense of caring and add to the comfort of staying here. We do not stay in a place for the amenities (pool, etc). We stay for the comfort level. It is close to the hwy, yes, however many rv places are, otherwise you do not see them while travelling. That piece is easy get over. However this last time we stayed, Aug 21 to 24th, 2020. We checked arrived in evening, dark and pouring rain. We arrive at our assigned spot. There is a car parked there, jacked up, back tire missing and no plates. We call gas station (shell) as that is where you check in. The tendant sounds surprised to hear about this car. We enquire again about #25, he puts us on hold for few minutes, comes back and says park in #26. At time of reserving this stay, we asked about #25 and were told it was booked already Aug 22 - 24. We parked in #26, reluctantly because it was right beside what appeared to be an abandoned vehicle. We set up and got settled in. No one came to check on this vehicle, staff that is. Very early Saturday I heard noises outside, thought it was someone working on the car (hoping it was going away). Nope, still there when I took our dog for a walk. It was no longer jacked up. My husband talked to a permanent resident, who said, the car appeared there one day, no one knows who it belongs to, an older man jacked it up took off the wheel, took a blue tarp that once covered it and left. This same old man came by late afternoon Saturday and collected lrg bags of empties from the back seat and left. Did not like idea of having out trailer parked beside this car with no insurance on it. What if it caught fire or something? Dangerous! Would the trailer parks insurance cover any damage to other trailers or other persons properties as result of this non insured car being left there? While we were there, not once did anyone who were staff/ownership of the trailer park come to checkout this car. We were told the rcmp are aware of the car. We likely will not return to this rv park, now, due to the fact staff and ownership appeared to not care at all about this car being left there without insurance on it with a broken back window, filled with beer can empties in the back. It was an eye sore and very unpleasant to have to park beside for three nights. In addition to that the reservation for stall #25 never showed, the spot sat empty the whole time we were there!! We could have set up there and at least put some distance between us and the eye sore of a car! But no, they would not give us that spot, instead we were stuck with #26, right beside this sad and unsafe looking car which sat in #27. Do not go here!!
