At the Peppermill Resort Spa Casino, guests are captivated by the Italian-styled, luxuriously appointed rooms that offer a comfortable atmosphere with a nod to modernity. While the amenities—such as clean, expansive rooms, pools, and a variety of dining options—are generally commended by travelers, some suggest that parts of the hotel could benefit from updates.
Service experiences vary, with reports of both commendable attentiveness and disorganized service. Despite the high cleanliness standards acknowledged by many, some guests feel the pricing is steep, compounded by extra fees that affect the perceived value.

I stayed here one night coming back from a road trip, so I wasn't here for the gambling. I just wanted a comfortable, clean, and inexpensive place to sleep, and it was much cheaper than the non-casino hotels in Reno, even with the $30 resort fee factored in. I booked the Standard King in the North Wing, which by the photos appeared to also be the most tasteful and quiet. But when I arrived, I was "upgraded" to the Peppermill Tower because the North Wing was temporarily closed. On the bright side, the room was spacious, clean, and had a decent view of the surrounding area and mountains. The interior design choice of this room can only be described as gaudy and ostentatious Italian faux classical. I still cringe at the hideous white vinyl sofa and chairs. Not my style at all, but it served its purpose of providing a comfortable and quiet room for the night. I'd also like to point out that the hotel has clearly posted signage to require masks when entering the casino, and all patrons seemed to be complying. This made my short stay more relaxing and worry-free.

The Peppermill had a Cyber Monday deal on their Luxury Suites at 50% off. We had visited the casino at the Peppermill but had not stayed at the resort. I jumped on this rate for a quick get away.
Check-In was smooth. The coordination between the Valet, the bell staff and registration was seamless. We were checked in about 5 minutes after arriving. The resort is beautifully decorated. The registration area and hallways were immaculate and beautiful.
We were on the 16th floor. The Luxury Suite was just that....luxurious! We were blown away at the amenities and furnishings in the two room suite. The living room area had a wet bar, a desk, beautiful plush leather couches, and plenty of storage space if you were staying for any length of time. There was plenty of room to host a small gathering. The bedroom was equally amazing. It had a huge four poster bed that was high off the ground. A huge black waterfall Jacuzzi tub was in the room as well as a steam shower, separate water closet, a double vanity area with an additional vanity as well. They are very generous with the towels, shampoos, body wash, etc. The thick brown with gold crown molding throughout was beautiful. There was a humidifier/air purifier in the living area that I thought was unusual. It turned out that it was a smoking room. I totally wouldn't have known this until I saw the ashtrays and matches throughout the rooms. This was an added bonus to my husband as he smokes the occasional cigars. It worked like a charm because the room smelled wonderful.
The wifi worked fine, Room Service was speedy and delicious. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Absolutely EVERYTHING about this room was amazing and we look forward to returning. If I was pressed to find anything wrong about the room it would be the lack of a table on both sides of the bed. That's it; and that was only a minor inconvenience!
I'm looking forward to getting back and now I'm spoiled; I will only stay in a suite with the jacuzzi tub and a steam shower:)

We've been coming back to this hotel for awhile now and the Toscany tower rooms never disappoint. The jet spa tub dry themselves after 20 min., which makes me feel more comfortable in using them. Taking a long bath using the gel shower from the hotel, was WONDERFULLy relaxing within the large bathroom suite, while listening to the hotel's "ArtTelevision" music playing on the TV inside the bathroom. Also, the rooms seem to be truly cleaned daily, quite a task, considering how huge the rooms are. Great Value for sure!

Thank you Zman47, for coming in and being our guests at the Peppermill Reno. We appreciate your feedback and are glad to hear that you felt our staff worked very hard to keep you safe while you were in our resort. We have installed very protective borders between our slot machines and our table games to help keep our guests safe when gaming in our casino. I will be sure to address your comments regarding your room and your hotel corridor with our Guest Room Attendants. We hope to see you back with us again soon! Best Regards, Dave Fuller Director of Service Excellence

Incredible to think the Peppermill would fall so far down the ladder as once was the best Reno had to offer. Management has lost sight of what a casino should be and all those recent comments of a not so desirable clientele, sadly ring true as I just don't feel safe inside or outside the resort anymore. Hardly a visit has gone by that I am not witness to scary confrontations inside the property, and security is so slow to react and if they do, they butcher the situation by ejecting the wrong party as I have witnessed a few times. Rooms have worn out beds and carpets, the halls reek of marijuana, prices in all restaurants are outrageous ( $12 for a bagel and coffee or over $4.00 for a regular coffee, $16 for a tuna sub, etc, etc..) Comps are a pathetic joke and so many locals I know have written off the Peppermill now that they started price gouging everything and sadly I am also in that category and will not be returning to the once great property anymore. My advice is to give your business to the Atlantis just down the street where you will find so much better value and the hotel rooms and beds are in top condition. It just seems so much safer and inviting than the Peppermill now and the Atlantis has great specials in the coffee shop and leaves the Peppermill in the dust on so many levels. How this came to pass will forever be a head scratcher to me! Very sad.

Enjoyed ourselves from the moment we arrived at this all inclusive resort. The air purification system in the gambling areas is exemplary and there are quiet cocktail bars, such as the Fireside, where you can relax and talk separate from the gambling areas. We enjoyed several dining experiences - where we happily spent all our gambling winnings.
The rooms are quiet, the beds cozy, and the service non obtrusive. We inadvertently left some items in a drawer, and the resort is mailing the items to our home. Now that's service!

Our club held nationals here in June. Not only was our club here so was the rodeo circuit, and a few junior baseball teams. We had a beautiful junior suite on the second floor in the No Smoking section of the hotel. Once we opened the door it smelled of cigarette smoke. Even the maids in the hallway told us about the man who smoked in the room the night before. The maids told us that they even told the front desk of this problem. We went down to the desk. They gave us a different room but it was smaller and didn't smell of cigarette smoke. The restaurants we ate at had delicious food. The pool was overly crowded in the late afternoon but early in the morning not so much. It was nice everyone in our club was staying here and this resort offered just about everything. This resort was open during Covid packed with people no one stayed 6' a part. Some people wore masks, while others did not. I wish this resort wasn't so over crowded during our stay.

1) Room was very dusty (Peppermill tower spa suite) 2) There were 4 to 5 little dark winged gnats flying about & sitting under lampshades next to bed 3) No toothpaste or microwave (which is ok but for the price of the room I thought it would be included) 4) We got two bottles of water, but were told we'd get two per night (stayed 2 nights) 5) Housekeeping didn't come 6) Casino floor was hard to walk about without inhaling smoke, even the non-smoking section Overall for the price we paid we were very disappointed and would not book a room at Peppermill again. Even Super 8 and Holiday Inn provide better service and cleaning for their rooms. The food was good at Biminis & the seafood & deli. We enjoyed the lounges.

This is a great hotel that really catered to the SCI Convention crowd even though the main convention itself was not at this location. Everyone we encountered was very friendly and helpful and the two restaurants we ate at were wonderful. Would definitely recommend the Bimini restaurant to anyone staying at the hotel.

with this pandemic going on it's a really scary idea just leaving your house if you don't have to but we decided to go for it! We have been reading all of the reviews of the Peppermill that we could get our hands on to see if we would feel comfortable staying there...and boy were we! When you arrive at the hotel/casino there are all sorts of precautions set up to keep you safe from the virus...temperature sensing cameras at the door where if you show 100 degrees or over, they will not let you in! masks available every where although you must have one on when arriving and at all times and hand sanitizer stations were every few feet. Only 4 people in an elevator at a time..restaurants at 50% or less with reservations....food was delicious and staff were on top of everything! Our room was really nice! very large Spa room with lots of storage and a walk in shower with an actually rubber shower mat! we had great views of the mountains and the city as it was a corner room on 15th floor. Only complaint was that there was no table to put our food on! Had a marvelous time! I was so comfortable there during this crazy time that I would certainly do it again!

The lower deck pool is heated year-round to accommodate all-season swimmers. A mini pool and waterfall make for a splashing good time, while hot tub spas are available to promote relaxation.

There is a $100 deposit charged even if your room is completely free but that fee is a hold and is not actually charged unless you use part of it for movies or room service etc and don't physically check out to use your comps for those items. You have to have a credit card on file.
