We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at Sam's Town in a suite. The highlight of the hotel has to be the well trained staff, they love the hotel and there enthusiasm shows.
The hotel has recently undergone a remodel and the rooms are very attractive with a clean contemporary design, very tastefully furnishings and decor. Fresh and clean!
Elevators were quick, and there are many entertainment and eating venues all under one roof which includes movie theater and bowling alley.
Security was plentiful and pleasant. This hotels caters to the over 45 group.
Only downsides are the casino cigarette smoke and location is in a somewhat poor neighborhood.
We enjoyed our stay and would return.

Our second visit in a month during these hard times. Staff from check-in, housekeeping, security, casino floor servers and cleaners, restaurant staff was amazing Our room was pristine, we felt very safe playing slots and table games. The cleaning crew is everywhere and always smiling. Compared to other Vegas casinos and the strip Sam's Town wins it all.

Sams town is a great place to visit or stay at. The restaurants are great and the prices are good we visited TGI Fridays we had steak and lobster tail which was excellent and costs $14.99 the buffet is also great and excellent value. We also played on the slots and found they were the best value for money compared to the strip and Fremont. If you stay on the strip there’s a free bus service check out details on the internet you won’t be diapointed.

I'll be honest. The first time I went to Sam's town was because it was cheap but, had really good reviews. So, I booked it. My wife got mad at me when I told her where we were staying. I told her give it a chance.

I'm glad she did because know this is the only place we stay in Vegas. The rooms are clean and very nice and everything is here. It has a movie theater (If you keep the stub you get a free game of bowling in their alley), a great buffet (it's was closed this time because of Covid), nice restaurants like the Angry Butcher( We had the filet and lobster deal for $39.99 you have to buy the sides that was delicious) and this little 24hr Mexican food counter the has great food at a great price.

I'm not a gambler, I don't drink or smoke. Normally Vegas is a place I only because of my wife. The thing I love about Sam's town is the non smoking Atrium with a little chessy nature setup with a water feature. It's like a park. I sit and read while my wife drinks and gambles. When she's done we hook up and so things together.

The one thing about it's not on the strip and you need a car because it's not close to any of the other casinos.

But, I say give it a try and you might be pleasantly surprised.

Family travelers should just stay away from these casino "resorts". Some previous review said although the hall had a heavy smell of smoke, the filtration system was good and the hotel room didn't smell. That is simply NOT true! For us non-smokers, the smell of smoke INSIDE the hotel rooms is pronounced and non-escapable! When I came home, I washed all things in my luggage, whether we used them or not.
Besides, all these "resorts" are still charging exorbitant “resort fees” when most of the “conveniences” they are supposed to cover aren’t even available. At Sam’s Town, the pool was closed, the “Sunset Stampede” show was not running, and you have to walk a long way to get to parking because all of the closer ones are assigned to VIP gamblers, not even handicapped parking is closer. Not to mention weekend prices are 50% higher than weekdays.
In conclusion, unless you want the convenience of anytime gambling, stay away.

I planned not to go to CES2020 however a client wanten to meet . So booked a trip last minute. The normal hotels I stay (mgm Aria vdara) all were sold out or were asking 4 digits for a night. Via a booking site we reserved a room in this hotel. The entrance was not very appealing old carpet and lots of old smoking players. The checkin was ok but not what one may expect from a hotel (no they call themselves “resort”). When directed to the elevator one of two was out of order and the lights didn’t work. (Staff told me later that the elevator was out for weeks, maintenance was not their strongest point) the room was dark a little damp and looked out over the courtyard. Until late in the evening every 2 hrs a loud sound entered your room from the courtyard for some kind of show. Very annoying. And front desk did not inform me when I checked in. The bathroom is really outdated not up to par on what the room charge was. The bed ok but that’s about it. Not dono I will stay again and at the top the charge you a $25 resort fee??? Euhm please look in the dictionary up what resort means! Sam’s is definitely NOT a resort! All and all very disappointing: Will not come back and much better places around for significant lower rates and better quality

My girlfriend and I stayed here for our first visit ever to Las Vegas and we had a great time! The Mystic Falls Park inside the casino was a beautiful and cool experience. Our room was clean and spacious and the staff was very friendly. The only caveats I can give is that there are no microwaves in the hotel/casino, so don't plan on re-heating leftovers, and the casino area smelled like cigarette smoke (common at pretty much any casino in Vegas though). If you pay a little extra you can have a room that looks into the Mystic Falls Park or pay the standard price and see outside to the rest of Vegas. Lastly, the location is great if you want to experience more than just the Strip, or want to save a bit of money and don't mind heading about 20 minutes in town to the Strip.

I stayed at Sam's Town for a week for a conference in November. I had an outward facing room on the 6th floor. The room was clean, the temperature great, and the bed was comfortable. On arrival the faucet was leaking (actually running), the guy came up and fixed it within minutes. I had a non-smoking room and it was fine, no smoky smell at all. Some in the casino as expected. The only place I was disappointed to smell too much smoke was at the bar in the atrium.
All the food outlets were good.
The food laid on for the conference was good.
The rate at which coffee urns were refilled for the conference was great!
Checking in staff, household staff, security staff, all lovely
The show in the atrium is so cheesy, I love it.
One of the elevators at the back was down for several days, that was inconvenient.
I feel the bar drinks menu could use a few more cocktails.
I didn't use the pool or the bowling alley.
I lost on the slots. Apparently Zeus is not a benevolent god. I'll be back this coming November, hope to learn some table games.

The hotel and casino still has some of the old charm of Vegas from the 1980s. Nothing fancy here, but we stayed two nights and I was not disappointed and would absolutely stay again.

Went to the buffet 3 times (twice breakfast and once dinner) and no significant problems. This cannot be compared to the "high-end" strip casino buffets, but it was good and a good value.

Room was clean. My wife is very sensitive to smoke and no problems.

Gambling was great. Spent many hours playing $5 Pai Gow and $3 craps. The crap lessons give you $20 in "match play" chips, which was great. Played in 2 of the poker tournaments. All-in-all, the casino has very friendly dealers and local customers. The one con I would say is that the drink service at the tables can be slow. Waitresses were friendly.
