A full-service resort in Las Vegas, Westgate Flamingo Bay Resort lies just 2.5 miles from the Las Vegas Strip and complimentary scheduled transportation is available. The resort features spacious one- and two-bedroom villas, each of which offers a full kitchen, queen sleeper sofa in the living room and jetted tub. Guests of Westgate Flamingo Bay enjoy a variety of onsite amenities such as a heated outdoor pool, hot tub, fitness center, basketball courts, mini golf, playground, shuffleboard, barbecue facilities and horseshoe pit.

Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
At only 2 miles from the strip, we found this location convenient to most activities, and some tours would even pick us up from the timeshare. The accommodations were as expected - enough dishes to make breakfast in the room, 2 beds and 2 bath. Only the primary room had a bath tub and it was a huge jetted tub. We had a “deluxe” villa which meant that it included a full size clothes washer and drier.
Our only concerns were the long wait and poor communication to initially check in and the outside light bulb was burned out the entire visit. We were near the pool and hot tub which were very popular during our stay.
I was worried based on the previous negative reviews, but am happy to report that those reviews did not reflect our experience at all.

I enjoyed this resort. The room was absolutely beautiful! We had to wait in line because one of their computers was down, so we got a complementary upgrade. I asked the difference between that room and the room that we booked and the Jacuzzi tub was a little bit bigger and it had a washer and dryer. Although it’s a bit further off of the strip than I had planned, it felt safe because it was gated and it felt like living in an apartment complex. I Enjoyed this resort.

For some reason this resort has received several negative reviews. Ours was a totally positive experience. Two couples shared the large two bedroom suite up one flight of steps [so be ready to carry your suitcases a little] and never got in each others way. The main bedroom has a large tub for two so that is a consideration for some but as older couples we enjoyed the easy access to not only the strip but Freemont Street and the surrounding scenic attractions. We asked for and received a later check out. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The free shuttle was in fact free and ran on time. Now if you want immediate gambling, smoke filled casinos, and loud neighbours don't stay here but if you want to control your environment and do more than gamble this is certainly a viable option in Las Vegas [and about 15 minutes from the airport parking garage]

A scorpion stung me 5 times while I was sleeping in the bed at Westgate Flamingo Bay resorts. (see pictures) I awoke and found it in the sheets with me, and captured it. Hotel security came and crushed it with pliers. The stings were excruciatingly painful for a couple days then the sting sites on my arm and leg became numb. I spoke with security and asked if this happens a lot and was told this happens approx. every 8 months. Westgate claims to have sprayed the room while I was at work and the following morning I found a second scorpion in the bathroom when I turned on the light. It appeared to be wandering perhaps affected by the spray. Westgate management was non-communicative and I had to reach out to them to find out the status of further room cleaning, which took me days. For the remaining 3 nights I slept in a sleeping bag on the couch with all the lights on. I am an engineer and worked in a very clean computer facility, so I had no exposure to scorpion environments outside the Westgate. This is the stuff of nightmares and horror movies, scorpions in bed with you!! Westgate comped me 1 days rent for 3 days of pain and sleeplessness. The reviews for the place are generally good but reading them I see others have encountered scorpions as well, if you value your personal safety look elsewhere.

During my stay in March 2021, only the pool was open. The hot tub was closed. There is no restaurant inside the resort. So, you have to order Uber eats or get a taxi and go to the restaurant. As usual, they call you early morning to get you to attend their owner update, which is an attempt to sell more of their "up-graded" resorts. This resort is not up to the standard of the resort in Florida - Turkey Lake. The two-bedroom was small when compared to the ones in Florida. We asked for early checking and arrived at 2 pm. But, we had to wait near until 4 pm, which is the usual checking time. We asked for an extended check out time, since our flight got delayed until 5 pm, but they refused. If I stayed at Hilton or Holiday Inn, they would have easily extended the stay until 1 or 2 pm. This is one of the resorts, I will not visit again. If you are looking for a place just to stay without looking for any other entertainment, then this place is fine. Otherwise, it is better to get something in the city. We moved here after staying at Venetian. so, there is a huge difference. I am not sure about the Westgate Hotel and Casino in the city.

this “resort” is more realistically like a step up apartment complex. as someone else indicated the management is very indifferent. The first two days of our weeklong trip the hot tub wasn’t even open in the evening and the office came up with a very weak excuse as to why it couldn’t be open. The shuttle service is a plus and parking is easy at the site.

Concessions were egregiously overpriced! My company sent out a menu prior to our conference showing a general price range, but the list was not itemized. A 12oz bottle of water ended up costing $5! I understand a mark up, it’s not a new idea, but this was highway robbery when they already had a captive audience. In my opinion, this was bad faith and underhanded pricing to a large event being hosted. West gate will price gouge your employees and event attendees.
Picture included of a mini bottle of water, small sized coffee, and pre-packaged muffin: $14. Employers and hosts, please warn your event attendees!

I was tired of traveling for business and the two wonderful ladies in the front office Maria and Ruby were so professional and helpful. I normally dont review hotels, however this was genuine exceptional service! It made all my exhaustion just desipate and I had a wonderful evening! They, showed me a map of my room location, where I can park my vehicle, gave me brochures of dining in the area, the wifi code and all the pointers of the swimming pool. Swimming pool open till 11pm, thats awesome! Normally pools close very early. I recommend to all who just dont want to worry of searching further online for the 5 star reviews and just get a place that fits all your needs!

We stayed just one night in a lower floor 1b/1b unit. They have been redecorated since our last stay and the furniture is absurdly large with no room to move! It’s pretty but completely impractical. The large globe light outside could not be toned down with the blackout drapes at all. It was ridiculous. I understand that it’s important to have good lighting at night but dim them or do every other one. I am a WG owner and was VERY disappointed in our stay here!
