We stayed for two nights at the Desert Rose in Las Vegas in June 2022. The hotel was very comfortable with our suite that included a full kitchen and a separate bedroom from the pull out couch our kids used. The property is very secure with locked gates to the guest room buildings. The kitchen was very well appointed with dishes, glasses and flatware, and some cooking pans for the stove. The parking lot was very tight for large vehicles and the pool area was not smoke-free. Those were the only two cons. The location is only a short two block walk to the Southern end of the "Strip" at Tropicana. Although it is butted up against the airport, the jet noise was not an issue. This would be a great place for anyone to stay, especially if it is an extended stay.

We needed more room and The Desert Rose delivered. Our check in was fast and smooth, the staff was very helpful our whole stay, called the desk for a cab several times and we never waited over 10 minute. The room was clean, the kitchen had everything you would need. Room included extra trash bags, dish soap, dishwasher soap, blender, broom with pan and a push sweeper. You have the choice of housekeeping, daily or not at all, fresh bedding is only a call away. The beds were extremely comfortable, bathroom had plenty of towels, the TV’s were all HD. It’s only @ a block or so from the strip, it’s very quiet. The pool is nice, there’s a bar if you need a drink. It’s very close to the airport, @ $11 cab ride. If you want super fancy stay on the Strip, if you want roomy and affordable this is the place! Has onsite security.

The hotel/resort is located off the strip within easy walking distance to the strip restaurants and hotels such as the MGM.The room was very comfortable and spacious (living room, dining area, separate bedroom, kitchen and bathroom). The rooms has 2 TVs and wifi internet (not secure). The staff are very friendly and helpful. All amenities are there for your use the bar, swimming pool, the business office and workout room. There is no restaurant, gambling area or breakfast area in the hotel. You cannot take a shuttle to and from the airport you have to take a taxi ($20). Overall great place to stay. Would stay there again.

Stayed here on a trip to spend time with our kids and grandson. We've stayed at a number of Wyndham properties and have come to expect good quality and convenience. We were a bit surprised here.
The good is that the property is not too far off the strip, if that is important to you (not for us, as we spent our time with family). The buildings and grounds are clean, and the property is secure. The rooms are nice, and they are clean.
The not so good. We felt like we were staying in a hotel, as everytime someone closed a door in the building, the whole room would shake. It was easy to hear neighbors to the side and above in their respective rooms. Washer/dryers were pay for use, where most Wyndham resort properties have washers/dryers in the room, or available in the building at no cost. There was no ice maker in the refrigerators. Sound from the hallways came through the walls and door very clearly. And, it felt like this was also a residence/apartment complex, as much as it was a "resort".

This is a old place that is trying to keep up. Kitchens are nice, but found drawer held together with glue. They want a daily cleaning charge added on due to "hiring outside service". Mold around bathtub caulking, bathtub drain backing up in use, just to mention a few problems. But unit was clean and beds where comfortable.

Ideal location for not being on the strip
Easy access within five minutes walk to MGM or Tropicana. The room itself was very spacious one bedroomed apartment with a kitchenette which we didn’t really use sitting area with lovely sofa and big TV.
The bedroom had a large queen size bed very comfy and blackout curtains.
The bathroom had a vanity area before leading into a bath with a shower over and toilet, it was very surprising how small the bathroom area was considering the size of the overall room perfectly adequate, plenty of drawers and wardrobe space .
The room is clean although slightly dated not an issue in anyway.
We chose not to pay $89 per day for room cleaning, but also not paying resort fees as you do at many of the other hotels. This made staying at the desert rose a very affordable and practical hotel.
We had seen negative reviews about timeshare operating in the complex. Although we were approached once we politely said no, and they left us alone.
Thank you for a wonderful stay we will return
We would certainly return back, and I have recommended it to others since returning .

We booked through airbnb and thankfully got a cheap rate because this place needs better cleaning and some updates. The rooms are laid out great, but the cleaning is lacking. The shower pan still showed black, the grout and caulk was caked in places. The master had all these setting but the only real setting you could get to work came out so fast it pelted you. The floors didn't even look like they were vacuumed good so we requested the floors be cleaned again. The mattresses were old and had some spill or sweat stains and dirt specks on them. Behind furniture and appliances was caked with dirt and dust. They didn't even bother to vacuum under the edge of the couch. One bathroom door looked like a dog chewed it up. The baseboards and corners were dirty. I looked at another unit to possibly move and with a quick look at beds seemed to be the same so I requested they re-clean the floors and check the mattresses for themselves. I don't think they did honestly. If I were an owner and walked into this place I'd be seriously upset at the amount of money people pay for these things. Seems they spend all the money keeping the lobby nice.

Wow. It’s not often that I see a place that really, truly impresses as this one did. Whoever manages this hotel deserves and award.
Located off the strip (short walk away) behind the Oyo, quite a good location, ample parking – even with some shade thanks to well placed trees.
The rooms are in a characterless concrete complex, many windows and balconies face into the inner courtyard – but that’s a good thing, because nearby roads are noisy.
The room itself was not very large, but was well planned, well decorated and in good condition. 4-chair dining table, hanging closet with a room safe, lounge with a good sofa and armchair, TV with enough channels (but no access to HDMI input which is a minus) and a small but very well equipped kitchen.
Kitchen had a dishwasher, oven & range, microwave (with an extractor above the range), large fridge, filter coffee machine, blender, and a full range of cutlery, crockery, pots, pans and kitchen tools. All good quality (Zwilling knives…). The attention to detail was impressive. Under the sink there was a small box with dishwashing liquid, a sponge, and dishwasher tablets. Perfectly arranged. Other hotels take note !
The bedroom was not very large but decently sized. Good bed, TV, chest of drawers. Bathroom was a touch smallish. Wifi worked fine, lighting was good (all pleasant yellow lights).
Staff were helpful and friendly, even going out of their way to be so.
There is also a small swimming pool which is quite busy, and an onsite bar which does food. There are a few convenience stores nearby.

Its a time share that offers hotel service. It does not charge resort fee however they charge for a daily housekeeping (around $89 per day optional). The condo has two instances, a bedroom and a living room. Each one has a TV. It also has a small kitchen and a dinning room. The AC is centrally controlled.

The elevator has issues, sometime you need to wait, some times it does not work but it is a 3 levels builds.

The pool and the jacuzzi worked fine.

The location is good, 10 min walk and you are in the strip

Our overall experience was very good.

We stayed at this resort during Spring Break and were pleased with the place. The room was more spacious than a hotel and was well furnished and clean. The area was easy to get in and out of, and you are enough away from the strip to make it seem peaceful. The only downside to this property is that it is near the airport and a helicopter rental place, so you will hear that all night. It isn't overwhelming though, and my family enjoyed staying here.
