If I could give 100 stars, I would. I can honestly say that this motel was by far the best experience I’ve ever had when it comes down to staying at hotels, motels, air bnbs, etc. From the view, the clean room, and the wonderful hospitality, everything about our stay was perfect. The owners are SO nice and commit to making sure you’re stay is everything you want.
When we arrived, the owner immediately came outside to greet us. They have designated parking that’s not crammed, so that’s a huge plus. The owners are super personable and helpful. They showed us our room, told us about the amenities, and gave us a bunch of information on everything to see at OOB.
The view was wonderful. It faced the ocean, and they have their own private patio and pathway to the beach, as well as a rack for your shoes and a sand sprayer (also a huge plus)! It’s about 10 minutes from the pier/boardwalk, with a bunch of shops and restaurants on the same street. It’s a quiet area with a beautiful balcony (or patio) view.
We got the cheapest room, a standard queen and it was perfect for my boyfriend and I. It was spacious and very clean.
We had absolutely zero problems with our stay. They always provided extra toiletries and were so welcoming the entire time. I will 1000% be back to stay here!!
Also, when we were leaving we had a flat tire and the owner filled it for us and then called a mechanic for us to take it to! Outstanding customer service/hospitality.
Side note:
I know some people have other preferences so these were some things that I thought some people may complain about:
1) Bathroom is definitely on the smaller side, but it was clean & had good water pressure so we didn’t care!
2) There’s no TV in the bedroom, just the living room. We’re not huge on watching TV so it didn’t bother us but if you’re someone who needs to sleep with the TV on, I’d recommend bringing a laptop or something you can setup to watch stuff on.
3) Make sure to put in a request if you need a ground-level floor. They fill up fast and do not have elevators (not something that affected us, but may affect some).
Honestly that’s all I can think of. Don’t hesitate to stay here, it was by far the best experience we’ve ever had!
