Hotel's Favourite
We enjoyed our stay here. You don't get the frills and luxuries of a hotel (this feels more like a nicer motel), but the price is fair for what is a stellar location just a couple of blocks from Waikiki Beach. Our room was clean, comfortable, and very spacious. The rooms have been recently remodeled, and the bathrooms were especially beautiful. The front desk staff were very friendly. There are also coin-op laundry machines on site and paid parking spots. There are beach towels and beach equipment available on a first-come, first-serve basis. My only gripes were that the front desk staff are not there overnight and the sheets and pillows had a damp, musty smell to them. We'd still come back.

This hotel is in an excellent location. The front office staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean with a kitchenette although with so many eating places around it may not have to be used at all. One downside that I can think of is cost of parking if one has a car.

Aloha Bala N, I am glad the front desk staff treated you with such Aloha. I will let them know. The kitchenette consists of a microwave, mini fridge, sink, coffee maker and some plates and utensils. Parking in general in Waikiki is expensive. At $25 we are about average. Next door charges $45 a night. Since we have limited parking we ask everyone to request parking when they make the reservation. We have limited spots and most of our guest forgo getting a car. The bus is pretty good at getting to where most visitors want to go. Mahalo Jason

The hotel helps an affordable stay for Waikiki, when you are willing to do some of your own meal service in the room. Fridge and Microwave help. There are food sources near by, Multiple ABCs ,Whalers Market , nearby buffet breakfast options. Once or twice Markets in the Ramada complex nearby for fruit and salad portions.
A great option - the telephone is a smartphone which includes up to 30 minutes a day free use, take it with you for the day to call a taxi. Just make sure it remains when you leave or pay $150. The smart phone also includes apps for web access. A neat feature. Located 2 blocks from the Duke statue at Waikiki beach with free loaner body boards and beach towels included. Try to connect directly with their website, Once we were confirmed, I did not get responses to further informational enquiries, but we got the nights we originally booked, and were secure all visit.

First off, mahalo to Reese and Will for answering all questions and being super helpful throughout my stay. Solid, down-to-earth guys there. I had to stay the first of my five nights at a "retro" property across the street that was the same price: roughly $100/night. The difference was night and day. Waikiki Central is a smaller budget building (36 rooms on six floors I think), but the property is very clean and modern. Two blocks from the beach! Fridge, microwave, free coffee and tea. Washers and dryers on ground floor. I believe they keep costs down with very limited room service (just ask staff for new towels/linens as needed), and the staff is on-site but on call during the late afternoon and night. Tip: For the shower, let the sink water run first for a while until it gets hot then turn on the shower. That was my only inconvenience, but it was very minor when compared to the value I got with this stay. Would recommend and stay again.

Aloha Global58355812848, I am glad you enjoyed your stay. We are a small budget hotel with 27 rooms. There aren't many amenities for our hotel but many people don't use the amenities at larger hotels anyway. Thank you see you next time.

I love this place. it is close to the beach and they don't have housekeeping every day while you are there so you don't get interrupted. It has a small kitchen area with a small refridgerator and microwave so you can eat in if you want too. If you need towels or toiletries, you just go down to the office and they will give you clean towels when you turn in the ones you've used. This is the fourth time we have stayed there.

Location is incredibly convenient - short walk to the beach, musubi shop, poke restaurant, McDonald's, bars, and bus stops.

Room decor is average. Rooms have mini fridges and microwaves and are clean. My room had a small outdoor balcony with two chairs and a table.

No beach view, the hotel is surrounded by taller hotels and condos.

There are no resort fees, and no daily housekeeping (though I think you can ask for it on an exception basis). You can get replacement towels, coffee, garbage bags, toiletries at the front desk. Front lobby also has a variety of beach chairs, beach towels, beach mats, and boogey boards to borrow.

Front desk is only open 8AM to 8PM so plan to get the aforementioned supplies at the start of the day or when you return from sightseeing.

Staff was very friendly, helping with restaurant recommendations, bus stop locations, and early morning checkout logistics.

The one negative for me was street noise. I could hear garbage trucks and a moving company at 4AM.

Overall, it's a great sightseeing base if you don't need an ocean view. You can spend the savings on food / beverages / tours / shopping.

Given this is an older building and in some senses is a "budget" hotel, it was a really comfortable place to stay. I appreciate the transparency on pricing; it was great value for the location. The location is stupendous - less than 2 blocks to the public beach park and right in the middle of all things Waikiki. The rooms were comfortable with all the amenities although it's the smallest shower I've ever seen! The front desk staff were super nice and had a lot of extras available in the office such as electric kettle, boogie boards, beach towels, etc. The one minor gripe I have is that in both king rooms that our party of four booked, there was no bedside table and lamp on the left side of the bed, despite there being plenty of room. They could easily and cheaply add these.

Couple of tips - if you have a smaller car, it will fit in the very small car park more easily. We unfortunately had a big three-row SUV that required quite a lot of maneuvering. We might have just skipped the car altogether but needed it for a couple of excursions. If the room doesn't have what you need, just ask as the staff seemed really accommodating. A breath of fresh air compared to the service seen elsewhere these days.

Great Location, small room, nice, helpful staff. Double bed seemed small for two adults. Air conditioning worked great. Maid service once per week, otherwise self-service. Good for people on a budget but bed really too small for two people. Rooms had stoves useful for cooking before 2019 renovation, but no longer do, though there is a refrigerator.

Aloha Parisaficionado, Since our renovation we have many rooms with beds larger than a double bed, such as rooms with a queen, 2 queens, and a room with a king. The Economy room only features a double bed and is our cheapest room. Sorry the rooms no longer feature stoves due to our new fire systems being installed. Mahalo Jason J General Manager

Just around the corner from Waikiki beach, close to everything, clean and comfortable. And so much cheaper than all the resorts around you. And no hidden resort fee, thank goodness. I stayed in fancier Waikiki resorts while on the same trip, but enjoyed the ease, location and overall value of this the most.

Very satisfied. The room was clean, recently renovated, a good size and quiet. There was a TV, fridge and coffee making facilities (albeit Hawaiian coffee is terrible).

The hotel doesn't have a restaurant or other such facilities. It is mainly just a place to sleep and rest. However it served these limited purposes well and its central location means that there is an abundance of other facilities nearby.
