My wife booked this hotel as part of my 50th birthday present. We were very pleased with our room. Extremely clean, good view of the ocean even with the privacy of the trees, and extremely comfortable bed. The staff were incredible. We were welcomed as if we were family. We were given information about places to eat and services provided at the hotel. We plan to return for a future visit to Jekyll.

My mom, my grandmother and I all enjoyed our 5 day girls’ trip stay here very much. While I would agree with other reviewers that this is not a luxury hotel - I was super pleased with everything you get for the price point, which was lower than any I’ve paid for beachfront in several years. Some of my favorite things included the simply beautiful setting with a quiet stretch of beach, the loungers in the shallow end of the pool, complimentary drinks in the room fridge, lots of lovely sitting areas around the property that were never too crowded, all the wildlife (frogs, lizards, birds, deer).
The staff were all so nice, especially Wil who was the best! Always friendly and making jokes with us and was kind enough to help us ladies with getting our luggage up the stairs to our room upon arrival on a very hot afternoon. Wil is a gem who clearly takes much pride in his job and in this property. He’s just the type of person any hotel would want working with guests.
When we had a minor maintenance issue, it was handled within half an hour. Even housekeeping staff members always said hello and were friendly.
Do note that the way this hotel is set up there’s no elevator, so second floor rooms involve hauling your stuff up stairs. The rooms are updated, with perhaps a scuff or two here and there, but nothing you’d notice unless closely inspecting.
Now for a few minor things I think could make the Beachview Club even better:
1.) an issue I’ve encountered several times at resorts and beach hotels - people bringing their own speakers to the pool. It’s not that I don’t like music, but certainly not everyone likes the same kind, and I prefer quiet relaxation at the pool. There are enough headphone options these days that I think it’s rude to subject everyone else trying to enjoy the pool to whatever you like to listen to. Consider just not allowing guests’ speakers in public areas
2.) more TV channels or option to log into your own streaming subscriptions. Normally it wouldn’t matter because it’s not like I travel to watch TV, but when you’re at the beach relaxing you might find yourself in your room wanting to watch something more so than on other types of trips packed with sightseeing. It seemed like there were only 5 or so non shopping network channels.
3.) smoking - is there a designated smoking area? Please consider enforcing no smoking in public areas like the pool and fire pits. It only happened twice during our stay but it’s unpleasant for non smokers.
That’s it! We really enjoyed our stay here and I highly recommend this property for a reasonably priced, relaxed beachfront trip.

Very pleased with our long weekend stay with our family. A fellow reviewer described this hotel aptly as a”hidden gem” which it truly is. Beautifully nestled behind a screen of wind-swept live oaks, the hotel’s ocean view through fancifully gnarled branches is nothing short of Spectacular! Took my breath away! All the quiet sitting areas and fire pits under the live oaks and palms made it feel like a secret garden. Much to our children’s delight, we saw numerous deer that roamed the property to graze.The rooms were spacious with a modern beachy decor...even a rolling farmhouse door on the bathroom entrance and a back lit vanity mirror area which is very flattering for makeup application! To top it all off, it is a pet friendly hotel, with beautiful gray tile floors in the rooms. Our Shih tzu enjoyed every minute. Wil greeted us on arrival with such familiarity and friendliness, it was as if we were visiting his home for the weekend. He alerted us of places of interest we might want to visit and let us know that complimentary beverages were in our room fridge. I have never received such a warm greeting at a “chain” hotel. The beach was so close to the hotel...only a short boardwalk away. It literally took us just a couple minutes to walk there. We enjoyed the complimentary bathrobes as we took in the beach view with our coffee in the morning. We also had the good fortune of staying during a full moon which added pectacular lighting to an already pristine setting. We will come back to this special resort...great family memories were made here!

We checked in for a weekend stay in early October 2021. There are many positive things about this hotel so I'll start with that. First of all the location is great, you are next to the beach, just a few steps and you are on the cross over going to a very spacious beach at low tide. The pool and grounds surrounding the hotel are beautiful and very well maintained. There are also two gas fire pits on the property which makes if very nice to sit down at night and socialize with fellow guests.
Our room itself was very spacious, our bed was VERY COMFORTABLE and we both slept extremely well. The air conditioning worked perfectly.
The staff is very friendly, we did have a few minor issues with our room which was taken care of immediately. No issues there.
Here are a few things that could use improvement:
Our room wasn't that clean when we checked in, a lot of dust on the floor, dead bugs ect. When our room was "cleaned" all the dust and dead bugs remained. I got the bugs up myself. Also our coffee cups in the room were never replaced, they just left the dirty cups in place. To say the least the room service could have cleaned better. This is not to say the room was filthy or anything, far from it. Just for 300.00 per night I expected better.
While the room was spacious it was also a bit dated. The rolling barn style door across the bathroom was annoying.
While there is no smoking in the rooms smoking is permitted around the pool. While there everyone seemed to be smoking and it stunk to say the least. I understand it's outdoors but it would have been nice to have a non smoking pool area.
There are no beach chairs or umbrellas to use or rent, maybe because it was late season. If you do come to this hotel be sure to bring your own or plan to buy some while you're there.
There are plenty of nice towels by the pool area and you can rent bicycles at the Holiday Inn which is right next door, it's the "sister" hotel to this one.
All in all though this IS a pretty nice hotel despite the few issues we had and I'm still giving it a "Very Good" rating over all.

We spent a week in Jekyll, biked the trails, walked along the beaches and boardwalks, ate yummy seafood and had super accommodating hosts at The Beachview Club. The location is absolutely gorgeous and is connected to bike/walking trails and right on the beach. The rooms have tile floors and nice toiletries, and the housekeeping is performed daily on rooms. Price is affordable too.

My fiancé and I booked a last minute trip for 4th of July and couldn’t be happier we chose to stay here. The rooms were spacious, sparkling clean, and had everything we needed including complementary water, sodas, and juice. The grounds are BEAUTIFUL, also very clean and well-kept, and the hotel is just steps from easy beach access. You can rent beach chairs and an umbrella for a very reasonable daily rate. The pool was great too, and they have not one but two fire pits, which were great for winding down on a summer night. Our room was right beside the pool but the hotel is so quiet that we enjoyed luxury of being steps away without the usual noise of having a first floor room by the pool.
We did not try the restaurant next to the hotel, so we can’t speak to it but there was no shortage of great restaurants nearby. There is also a beach bar at the Holiday Inn next door that’s just a quick walk if you want a snack or a drink while you enjoy the pristine beach at the Beachview Club- without the crowds of the bigger hotels!
Everything mentioned above was amazing, but what really sets this hotel apart is the customer service! We are frequent travelers and have never met staff that made us feel more welcome. Diane was so hospitable and even texted us when our room was ready so we had the option to check in hours early- which I can’t imagine being made possible by some of the bigger hotel chains in the area. Wil made checking in a breeze and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great first night at the hotel. Sarah helped make sure our room was impeccably clean and that we always had a robust supply of fresh linen. Deshaun also went above and beyond helping us with the beach chair rentals and checking on us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. He even left us bottles of water by our chairs when we were out swimming without us even having to ask.
If you have any doubts about booking this place, book it while you can! The customer service alone already has us looking forward to our next trip, but there are so many things to love about this hidden gem of a hotel. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer!

First trip away since onset of Covid and we were expecting a room that seemed more "sanitized" than what we got. We found that the patio was a mess & furniture needed a good cleaning. This was late in the season but would have liked to have used it but really couldn't without cleaning which we chose not to do. Room itself was clean but did not seem/smell like a real scrub down had been done. We used our sanitary wipes and went over everything and bottom shelves of furniture and other areas were pretty dusty. Perhaps the room had not been used in a while but knowing that they had guests coming in, it should have been cleaned/freshened. Floors were clean but baseboards & corners needed attention. Linens seemed fresh. However, check in was quick, front desk gentleman was very nice and helpful, and we had a comfortable stay. Other pros were that we were able to have our small dog with us, there was beach access just a short jaunt from the backdoor of room and the hotel location on the island was great. No housekeeping during our stay which we knew and expected but we could get fresh towels and trash pick up outside our door which was convenient. We would consider staying there again.

My husband and I stayed at the Beachview Club Hotel during our first trip to the island and it was a wonderful experience. We were looking for a motel-style stay as we wanted easy loading/unloading/access to our car and we are able to park outside our door with no issue. Our room was spacious and well appointed and had a lovely patio outside with chairs overlooking the garden. We had morning coffee and evening cocktails on the patio and it was the perfect place to chill out and talk. The hotel/motel is just a few steps away from the beach stairs and we loved the proximity. We brought our blow up kayak and kept it just outside our sliding glass door on the patio when we weren't using it--super convenient. Overall, our stay was totally uneventful and lovely. The island is truly special for so many reasons! My only minor complaint is that I would prefer the rooms were vacuumed each time they are cleaned as the floors of course get covered in sand.

The Beachview Club was our temporary “home” on Jekyll for a week. It’s a small 2 story oceanfront inn and a beautifully maintained property. The inn sits back from the ocean and has immediate access to the fabulous walking and biking path that is such a wonderful part of Jekyll. There are gorgeous trees between most of the inn and the water so most of the rooms don’t have water views but those same trees provide a shady place to sit and stay cool. Our nicely appointed room had a full kitchen, balcony with ocean view and was very spacious. The bathroom was a little smaller than preferred and did not offer much counter space but was immaculate. The front desk staff were all exceptionally friendly and customer service oriented, a rare treat these days. Bicycles were available for rent at a reasonable rate and snacks including ice cream could be purchased. The inn does not have a restaurant but the Holiday Inn on the adjoining property does (although not very good). The landscape is impeccably maintained which resulted in only one of the 2 negatives we experienced. Two mornings during our stay workers trimmed the palms with chainsaws outside our door at 8 in the morning, waking us up on vacation time....not great! We requested that they start later and the desk team quickly apologized and made an adjustment to our bill. The second issue is that guests are allowed to smoke on their patios and the smoke drifts up. We had smokers below us and we were unable to use our balcony when they were outside. In spite of those small problems this is a terrific oceanfront property at a very reasonable rate and I highly recommend it. Dining suggestions: Sunrise Grill for great seafood, especially the fried shrimp and Tortuga Jacks for Mexican cuisine and great cocktails with a view.

We had a fantastic weekend staying at the Beachview Club. We will definitely return. The inn has big shade trees and is right on the beach. The room was very clean and comfortable. They even stocked the mini frig with some complimentary sodas, juice, and bottled water. Being a pet friendly hotel was also a big plus for us. Our dog loved the beach. All the employees we encountered during our stay were friendly and cheerful.

We were there in March and the pool was not heated then.
The managers reception we attended was drinks for a two hour period in the lobby reception area.
We met many of the staff and guests.
We enjoyed meeting other guests every evening around the fire pit.

Hi!
Jacksonville airport is about 65 miles away, or about an hour and ten minutes driving. Savannah airport is 91 miles away or about an hour and a half driving. Savannah flights can be a little cheaper sometimes but honestly the savings don't generally make the extra mileage worth it in gas money. When I fly out or my family fly in we either fly into Jacksonville or to Atlanta then jump on the Delta flight down to Brunswick/Glynco.
There are more places to choose from in the Jekyll Island area.
