Hotel is old, furniture is horrible: with spots and holes, old-fashioned TV from last century, we have only 2 working outlets to plug in in our room. Rooms not be cleaned until you ask, lack of towels, room maid always put only 1 towel set in our room in spite the fact that there were 2 people in room. Sunbeds in the beach was distributed by person who usually was late: Italian man shows up sometimes by noon, sometimes by 9-10 am, so people had to sunbathe on the their towels or on a sand. Also he collected sunbeds by 6 pm, and did not let people who show up around 5 pm to use them. And last one totally inappropriate thing: instead announced $12 hotel fee per day they charged $14: $13 + taxes! Pros: jacuzzi, drinks and prices in bar, ocean beach nearby.

I visited this hotel last October as part of a Contiki Tour. Location wise, the hotel is really good. It's on Miami beach and is walking distance/ short cab ride to main attractions. The hotel is in need of some TLC. It's very old fashioned and needs a face lift. The car's in the restaurant were probably great in their day but it's time for them to go...
The rooms were small and freezing and our TV didn't work either..
The staff aren't the friendliest bunch either. I shipped a parcel sent from Memphis to meet me there and it wasn't there. I know that's not the hotel's fault, however no effort was made to help me locate the parcel, and they even told me I could go out the back and have a look myself if I wanted it back that badly... Nice!
Very disappointed, I would definitely visit Miami again it was amazing, but I would stay in a higher rating of hotel.

I can not for the life of me figure out where they got the front desk staff. We arrived at 2:50 p.m. and tried to check in but the woman took her pen and pointed to a little sign that said check in was at 3 p.m. I saw how she and other desk clerks treated guests and was astonished at how totally rude they all were. They all seemed so unpleasant or unhappy or both. So I waited for the ten minutes saying I would not move from the counter. Service is not this hotel's strong point in fact I suspect it is not a part of the operation plan.
That paid off because I got a corner room overlooking Miami Beach and Miami skylines and a nice view of the ocean. The room was fine, the bed and uncomfortable mattress were something the Salvation Army would reject,.The rug in the hallway was filthy and the ice machine did not work so I went two floors down and noticed the hallway there was tile and looked fine.The pool was fine as was the hot tub. The Wi-Fi was very weak.
The location is ok. The hotel is right on the beach. The price was good.
Even with all the negatives I would stay there again, maybe I am a glutton for punishment. This hotel could actually be really nice but it would require quite a bit of repair. I spent little time in the room so it suited me just fine.

I had problems with the staff in the restaurant...they called the police on me and had me arrested...I spent two nights in jail...I would like to have my money refunded...they where charging me for breakfast when it was included in the reservation...I complained and got upset...they called the police and had me arrested..

My mother booked the room through Booking.com in Brasil. They cost about $150 a day. After traveling for 16hrs she arrived at the hotel at 6 am they did not let her check into the room until 3pm. This is the case daily, many people. One from long trips abroad and sits in the lobby for many hrs. It's "policies" that you check in at 3pm. They had a trouble with charging her MasterCard and ended up blocking the card which we where not able to use for our entire 2 weeks trip and unable to move out and into a better hotel. The rooms arent luxury and I'm ok with that but the shower goes from hot to cold all the time today the toilet got jacked up and it barely looks clean when it gets cleaned. Trip buses comes every day 6 am stops in front and doesn't turn off therefore if you are in the front of hotel room you get to wake up cause its really loud and echoes. They did not gave me a breakfast vouch which deducts $2 dollars from the $8 that they charge you which they shouldn't charge in the first place because after all it's a $150 a night that I'm paying. Good points are location it has a bus stop in front of hotel which allows me to grab it and go to south beach. I recommend getting a bus card. And the beach is in the backyard and it's beautiful. The retro style isn't my style but I can see how some people can enjoy that, it's cute having breakfast in a car I guess but gets old. The staff really isn't helpful or interested in quality service. I just feel like everybody wants to make their dollar at every chance but then again you can say that abou Miami beach period. Also overheard another person staying here complaining that they were on the top floor and it rained all night and they got Drenched in their room. Rain coming from the ceiling down the walls filling up the floors. And by the way the lobby does NOT look like the picture they have above. So over all it's not worth it.

Great value hotel only around $100 a night and you really get what you pay for reasonable bed fairly large room the air conditioner worked well but sounded like a Mack truck bathroom hasn't been updated since the 1970's great view from the room of North Miami beach no verandah saline all a good value beach hotel to enjoy the city

This is one of the cheapest hotel on miami beach.i found a room for 100 a night with ocean view for 6 peoples.The restaurant is very coll with american classic car to get sit and get a good food.THey have a pool bar with drinks and the pool i great.

Its not a luxury hotel, its very simple but confortable. Everything was working well, i have nothing to complain. I've found a cheap hotel and its good enough for the price I've paid. If you are looking for a better hotel and if you can afford it, go and book an expensive one and do not complain for what you are paying for. The hotel has a great location (Close to the Bal Habour Shopping), very close to Collins, Ocean Drive and every good place to be in Miami! I would go back and stay there again!
The negative point is the WiFi that didnt work in the room. Every time we needed it we had to go to the reception. i think is a point that should be invested because nowadays its something that we cannot live without.

Friendly staff at check-in, but be aware that you get what you have booked: I booked online Room at Oceanfront and got partial Ocean view on 5th floor, I booked non-smoking room and hat a room with 2 ash trays on desk and table. The location of the Hotel is excellent.

I booked this hotel through bookit and the description they have on this place is not the same as reality. If you want to be let down this is the perfect place. You will be disappointed on this hotel at almost every turn. One positive thing about this place is the staff was pretty friendly and the hotel is on the beach. Aside from that get ready for the let downs. Do not be like me and think everyone on here is exaggerating they are not.
1) the description mentions continental breakfast .. guess what .. its not included you will have to pay for a breakfast $10 each person buffet .. bland food .. save your money there is a Denny's 1 mile down the street half price and gourmet food compared to what they serve. I have never stayed at a hotel that mentions continental breakfast in their page description and only to not offer it at the hotel so why mention it ?? As far as I am concerned deceptive advertising. Even motel 6 offers free coffee in the morning in their lobby .. NOPE .. not even coffee in the lobby.
2) "There is never a dull moment with tons of fun in the sun, premium shopping, amazing dining, and of course the universe`s hottest nightlife". Also part of the description .. its no where near anywhere within walking distance unless you take a cab or taxi or bus .. to even buy something for lunch .. hell a snack unless you eat there. There is nothing but a used up bar with a dance floor that use to be there but other than that you are not near anything .. but if you just want peace and quiet and nothing happening .. its the perfect place for you.
3. FREE Wireless Internet Access???? Really .. unless you are in the lobby go to one side of the room and you get no access you have to be in the lobby .. want internet from your room .. nope you are not going to get it ... you will have to come down from the 7th floor or the 9th floor .. to get internet access .. and slow at that, you gotta be in certain areas .. another joke.
4. if you want to stay in a room that is so outdated .. rooms so worn down .. it looks like no one has put money in to it .. for the last 10 -20 years .. this is your hotel .. take a trip down memory lane .. because you can see that at one point in time this hotel had some class.
We called bookit after our first night to get the hell out .. the rooms were so damn small. They were able upgrade us to bigger rooms which made it more tolerable so we stayed and I know on a weekend on short notice it might have been hard to find another place. There was no charge for the upgrade and they were very helpful. But in retrospect, I wish I would of just changed places.

No, no está incluido. Nosotros pensábamos que estaba, pero cuando llegamos al hotel nos cobraron una diferencia. No obstante, no era mucho dinero y la verdad es que el lugar es muy recomendable.
El hotel no lo incluye se paga aparte, 13USD por día.
Como te comentan tampoco ví cámaras de seguridad en la parte de estacionamientos, pero no creo que tengas problemas.
Susy, si aún no has viajado, te recomiendo que modifiques tu reserva, en la collins hay una variedad infinita de hoteles y como ya pasó el verano tendrás una muy buena opcion de precios y disponibilidades.
