We stopped here for two nights as part of a 4 week independent tour of Cuba. We looked at the four cheaper hotels in the town Pullman, Heradura, dos Mares and Aquazual and this was the best based on the rooms we were shown. We had a room in the main building not the annexe which was not very nice. There is constant music in the nearby bar in the garden which does not finish until about 11pm so we chose room 130 where we could not hear it. The room was small with a small ( less than 1350mm ) double bed. Bathroom was fine as was breakfast. There is secure parking in the hotel grounds. There is no pool and the hotel is on the main road a block away from the beach. At this price range 40 - 50 CUC for B&B in Varadero you do need to see the rooms if you are staying a long time otherwise you could be disappointed

We stayed one night at the Pullman hotel in Varadero. It's very cheap, for a stay in this tourist zone. It's one of the few not all-in options in Varadero.
There was only a concierge, for services we had to go to the hotel on the other side of the street. We also enjoyed breakfast there. The breakfast was oké, but the service wasn't.
I found a dead cockroach in our bathroom and also one up the stairs. So it didn't feel that clean... The AC was very good and we had a nice terras. It's very well located, near the beach and in the centro commercial.

I stayed for 2 nights as part of a 2-week independent tour of Cuba. First I didn't even want to go to Varadero as it is an artificial and little authentic tourist resort but then followed a friend to stay only a short while.

We chose this budget hotel which was fit for purpose but very basic amenities. The room was reasonably clean, the bathroom and the airconditioner were working. The staff were helpful. We arrived at low season so I suspect the hotel wasn't full - at least I never saw crowds sitting at the outside bar. At breakfast we ate the fruit but the toast was practically inedible so on the second morning we didn't even ask for it. The location is great, the beach is a 5-minute walk, and around the hotel there are plenty of restaurants both state-run and also private (paladars).

For the low season price of 30 CUC per night it was fit for our purpose. Not sure how it might compare to other locations in Varadero however as I never stayed in the resort hotels.

We stop at the Pullman everytime we are in Varadero for a drink. This past trip we sat at their newly renovated outside tables made out of some recycled material in the most uncomfortable tippy stools. We waited for service and we’re completely ignored for 15 mins by the 2 wait staff. The only good point was the outside bathroom had toilet paper and was fairly clean. We left in disgust after the Spanish speaking people that arrived long after us were served. Will not be going back again.

If your idea of a holiday is a clean, cheap place to stay near the sites then this is the place for you. It is about 40 CUC pesos a night. This includes breakfast. The breakfast is better than any restaurant on the strip. Eggs, coffee, juice, toast and jam, and pappas frittas. It is centrally located in the middle of Varedero. There are no cooking facilites in the rooms. Rooms are basic, decor minimal, but who cares?, and there is hot water. A small, clean, quiet place to stay for a few days kicking around Varedero.

We stayed at the Hotel Pullman for our forst 2 nights in Cuba. It was a good way to gradually get used to the change. Spent our evenings on the old colonial veranda watching Varadaro go by........everything from horse carts to Russian trucks.

The hotel is clean, with a great veranda, nice patio and dining room. Very convenient for downtown excursions. It is also only 2 blocks from the beach, which is lovely. And it's cheap !!!!!!!!

WE came across this atrocity when deciding to stay an extra night in Varadero. Its an interesting looking place, so we thought it couldnt be too bad. How wrong we were. We went to check in around 1:30 and were told check in is at 4,and the room is not ready. Realising we were going to leg it somewhere else the room was suddenly ready. We parted with our cash before walking up a set of mouldering wet stairs to the room. I felt like I was in an episode of fawlty towers. Its truly a hovel, there is nothing inviting about the place at all. You have to ask for a remote for the air con, I think they are hoping you wont use it. We went out shortly after checking in and all the staff were either sleeping on the couches near reception or using their phones. There was no effort on their part at all. Do yourself a favour, stay anywhere else

We booked this hotel, but we were diverted to "Hotel Dos Mares," which is even more unwelcoming. Stay away! The pool was extremely noisy, even though nobody was there. The rooms looked worn down. We though we are lucky to be diverted, until the next unpleasant surprise waited for us. Note that food availability in that area is very limited.

They did some renos to the hotel. The restaurant has been opened since November so you don't have to go to Dos Mares for your breakfast anymore. I only ate here once other then my breakfast. I ate crocodile but it was pretty plain. My room was very small & the tv didn't work. My air conditioner was loud & wasn't always working. I did have hot water every shower if I wanted. The beach is a block away & it's close to everything from the shopping markets to the Beatles bar. Solid tattoo shop next to it if anyone wants a tattoo. On my other stays there was 3 of us so we always got room #127 which I didn't mind because of the huge balcony. My room didn't have a balcony so that was another negative. The staff is pretty friendly & I had no troubles with them other then one guy at reception but that was at Dos Mares down the street (you have to check in & out at Dos mares & walk a block to Pullman). This hotel is cheap & if you only need a place to sleep then this isn't too bad but if you have higher expectations then go elsewhere.

nothing changed & i got room 127 for the 3rd time...leaving food, pop or anything sweet on the balcony could attract ants but other then that it's an old hotel & has a great location. the staff was decent & this time no issues with the blaring music from the patio bar...
