The Nobu Hotel Miami Beach offers spacious and tastefully decorated rooms, though some guests have reported noise issues and inconsistent service. While the hotel's atmosphere is often described as lively and elegant, a few visitors feel it could use an update. The cleanliness of the hotel generally earns high marks, but service can be a mixed bag with occasional delays. Despite the praised amenities, including multiple pools and a luxurious spa, guests frequently question the value for money due to steep prices. The location, however, is widely appreciated for its beach access and tranquility.

We left the cold and snow in PA for a first time trip to Miami and stayed here. The hotel is beautiful. We were on the 5th floor with an ocean view. I love the balcony with seating and a view. Good spot to enjoy coffee in the morn and sunrise and great for a glass of wine in the evening.
Check in was easy.
Malibu Farm is delicious and what a perfect view for breakfast or lunch. The omelet choices were awesome. It was just enough food and loved the salad on the side. Marko was a very attentive server and very friendly. On the beach, Gabby worked her ass off running food and drinks. Ariel and Miguel were quick in finding us seats. The food on the beach was easy to order and glad that the garbage cans were plentiful so people could clean up after themselves. The flatbread was our lunch choice.
If you get a chance to choose anything from Nobu, even at the lobby bar, get the sashimi salad with miso dressing-oh my I could have eaten that daily.
The boardwalk was great for morning exercise as also the hotel is in a perfect location if you just want to walk along the sidewalks and get views of the yachts or boats. It is also a 15 min walk to Walgreen's as you are going to want to go and get yourself Water Bottles, beer, or wine and save yourself some $$.
What we didn't have a clue on was how much $ is needed per day for meals. So, if you consider breakfast and lunch each is $100/couple and dinner was probably $200/couple. We ate at the lobby bar the first night bc of our late arrival. Then we ventured out the other 3 nights.
Yes, we would stay here again if we ever returned. Having a beach access and sunshine 3 days straight was just what we needed.

Checking in they check your temps and you have to wear a mask unless you are in the pool or beach or eating! Audrey sorry if I spelt her name wrong at the front desk was helpful and I got a room early which was perfect after landing in an early flight because normally check in is at 4pm! I got a ocean view suite and it was beautiful! Love the bathroom too my fav part inside with the hot tub! It was clean just know if you need anything you need to walk to front desk to get it like clean towels and more. The pool was nice and you can get two free chairs by the beach. Valet parking is expensive $50 per night but you can park next door for $20 per day! They do charge a resort fee of $39 per night. Overall I had a great stay.

This hotel really payed attention to detail and was by far best stay in miami so far. The check in went smooth my girlfriend just had a surgery completed & stayed at the hotel for 5 days to recover. The hotel rooms were updated new and very japan like vibes and had hand painted cherry blossoms through out the floors & rooms service was great we never had any issues. The rooms were so clean the property was spotless the pools were clean & right on the beach. We had a bacon room (if your thinking about it just do it such a vibe and you won't be sorry) The food was amazing the restaurants were consistent and flawless. Valet went smoothly and they were very on top of checking peoples temp if you came in building and had to have a mask for Florida i felt very safe. This was a flawless stay. Sherein & Raul really went above/beyond to make our stay perfect.
i travel typically 250-300 days out of the year im also from miami beach origonally & this stay was memorable!

I recently stayed here this past weekly after staying at both the California location and Mexico prior. The service is unmatched! With being in hotel management I have come to expect a certain type of service, along with proactive communication this hotel had neither! Everything was blamed on the Governor Restrictions enacted for the protection of staff and guests. However, these are things that the guests should be made aware of prior to staying as prices don’t match the lack of staffing i.e. Skelton crew and lack of amenities offered. (Took at least 30 minutes to get someone on the phone to request something).

We stayed 4/3 recieved an FYI letter at check in that should’ve been sent 24-48 hours prior to check in.

The letter stipulated no housekeeping unless upon request (which was requested and we did not recieved it, was told it’s limited service however letter doesn’t indicate that).

No room service, however a $35 charge for a microwave to warm up one meal.

Hallways smelled of marijuana! 4 star hotel! Random men roaming the hallways late at night! No key control by floor! Very big safety concern for women traveling alone.

Me and my friend split the rooms fees yet we’ve been way overcharged 3 charges in total $836, $530 and $530 something again! That was the ultimate kicker, I guess night audit is off as well to process billing correctly.

The nonchalant attitudes from the management staff, please note I’ve never seen a staff so controlled and not empowered. The management team was overwhelmed, irritated and performance lacked four stars to say the least. I over heard guests frustrated due to lost cars, lack of amenities, no rooms available so sleeping in the lobby.

Lastly the best part ever, in 80 plus degree weather with Florida Humidity no water offer at the pool???? Oh because of the Governer! At this point I’m going to email him and research the guidelines in which they were given as a hotel to reopen and also send this complaint to him being as though everything was blamed on him!

While we're facing extraordinary times, our team is diligently working to make these new practices as seamless as possible to ensure our guests are enjoying themselves while staying safe. We're adapting to current times, by closely monitoring and implementing new cleanliness and social distancing standards throughout our property. Our rooms are cleaned, thoroughly disinfected and remain vacant for a day before being occupied by a new guest. Daily Housekeeping services are running on a limited basis to suit our guests' to best suit preferences on social distancing. Eliminating high contact points such as the minibar, In-Room Dining and other otherwise self-serve amenities are safety measures we adopted to provide our guests with a clean, relaxing and uplifting environment so I am surprised to hear your experience did not reflect that. We always greet guests with a smile because we love what we do, so I am surprised to hear you did not feel welcomed by our staff. Please be assured that this is not our norm and we do everything we can to maintain a relaxing and uplifting environment that’s reflective of the Nobu brand you already know and love. I love the Nobu restaurants but unfortunately this hotel is a big miss. It’s clearly very poorly run, and when there are so many better places to stay on the beach nearby with a much better atmosphere, it’s not the place you want to spend your money. The staff feels unhappy & overwhelmed, so you don’t really get the feel of professional, welcoming, attentive staff you would expect at other upscale hotels that lets you really relax and feel like you’re on vacation. They all seem like they just want to go home which gives you secondhand negative vibes since you’re the one paying and you already want to go home yourself as a guest here.

The sharing of the hotel with Eden Roc seems to be part of the dysfunction as they are trying to share ammenities and staff with a lower quality hotel with an opposite vibe. When you come to Nobu you are seeking a classy, zen vibe. Instead you get a trashy, crowded, techno scene throughout the property while you pay more for your Nobu room. It really doesn’t make sense to me Nobu would put their hotel in here of all places, as it doesn’t really align with their brand.

Service is extremely lacking and s l o w. Trying to reach the front desk you can expect repetitive “your call is very important, your call will be answered in the order it was received” for an indefinite amount of time, and you may even end up having to leave your room to go find someone. Every time I’ve used the phone here it’s like that, they’re always tied up and you are placed on hold. One thing that’s very clear is that this place is seriously understaffed, and many of the staff they do have also seem undertrained and disorganized. When I arrived there was no one at the front desk, as they leave at night, and as I figured out completely on my own, you must go to the Eden Roc desk, where there was just one man working there to check me in. If you ask for a fork or knife from room service, you will probably wait up to an hour to get it, like me. If you order a food delivery, no one will bring it up to the room for you like in every other 5 star hotel in the world, you must leave your room and go retrieve it from downstairs in your PJs. It’s not run like a 5 star hotel where amenities and service are complimentary - you will pay extra for things as small as package to even be brought to your room. I don’t think this qualifies as 5 stars to most people. If you are expecting the service the Nobu brand is known for, you will be disappointed. I haven’t experienced anything like this at any other “5 star” hotel in the world. I can’t even write “5 star” without quotes, because that is not what this is. Not even close.

In fact, I think this hotel only works to tarnish the Nobu brand, and isn’t what people are used to from the quality and service of their restaurants. Unless they hire way more, and properly trained staff, I suspect they won’t last long here before they have to close.

So far we checked in yesterday and have run into a bunch of issues. Let me start by saying the room is great. It’s a great size and beautifully decorated and very clean.
The amenities of the Nobu hotel are very underwhelming though. Their “private” pool is so small and they let people reserve chairs without being there. They turn people away and tell them “they’re full” but there’s an entire row of chairs empty (picture below). They said you can only reserve chairs for 45 minutes but it’s been over an hour now. You do have access to the Eden Roc pools but they’re small and filled with little kids so you’re not left with any good options. Next, we checked in and put our bags down and went to the pool. The pool is decent and overlooks the ocean but the glass panels overlooking the ocean are so filthy and look like they haven’t been cleaned. The waitress came back with our check and said our room number in their system wasn’t matching up with the one we gave. When we got back to our room, we were locked out and our keys didn’t work. We went down to the front desk and they said they had made a mistake and gave us the wrong room. It was very concerning that someone could have been given our keys and walked into our room with all of our belongings. They apologized but didn’t seem to really think it was a big deal. I overheard another couple freaking out because their bags were placed in the wrong room. Not a good look for such a high end named hotel. We were told by the front desk that everyday, between 5-7pm there is a bar cart that comes to each room for a complimentary drink but if you aren’t there when they come to your door then you miss it completely. We were in our room between those hours ironically and no one ever came and there wasn’t a “bar cart” to be seen. I don’t think it actually exists but they advertise it as part of your reservation. Just pretty disappointing since we love the Nobu restaurants and have always had good service there but it seems like they don’t have their stuff together.

Like the reviewer before me, I agree this hotel could be stellar. Unfortunately, it was not.
I made this reservation months in advance, and was assured I could reserve two Zen suites, both with soaking tubs. I called twice more, once the day before arrival, and was assured my requests would be honored.
Upon arrival, I was told only one room would have a tub. Unacceptable! After speaking to a manager and waiting 4 hours we ended up with two Zen Suites with soaking tubs and was given the key at 5:30. One was much smaller than the other.
While we waited we put our name on the wait list for Malibu Farm, an on site restaurant. We waited quite a while. Food was just OK. It was obvious that the hotel lacked adequate staff. Nobu restaurant was great. Nice attentive staff and delicious food. Ate there twice in 4 days. Also walked next door to the Fountainbleu and had great meals there.
Pools were nice. Service at the pools was ok. Not great by any means. Had to ask pool staff to ask a waiter to come by. Pool staff was good.
Room was nice with views. Cleaning was hit or miss. Had to call down for items not replaced by cleaning staff and rooms were not cleaned until after 5. Again inadequate staffing.
Would I stay here again? With so many other choices nearby, probably not!

Had a great time at Nobu Hotel in Cabo but Miami is completely different. Nobu Corp needs to do a mercy killing here before it destroys the brand.

The facility is nice with a good location on South Beach. Nobu restaurant was very good with great food and vibe. $275 per person seemed high for 2 drinks per person.

Now for the hotel. A disaster at $600 per night. Called both hotel and restaurant on the way in with neither answering the phone after multiple calls. That should have been a warning if things to come. It was December 30, so I’m sure they were busy. On check in I was told covid rules would mean the room would be cleaned only once during the stay, at the end of the 2nd day. It is now the end of the 4 night stay and 11 calls later no room cleaning, no trash removal, nothing. Requests for ice or anything else are treated with courtesy when I would call but never delivered. I actually had to find someone on my floor and pay for towels and ice to have them delivered. I would have found them myself but covid rules didn’t allow it.

If someone suggests to you to stay at Nobu Miami Beach literally run the other way as fast as you can! I will not stay at another Nobu Hotel and will think twice about their restaurants.

My son and I stayed presidents day weekend. The pools are filled with a lot of families and groups who at the crack of dawn's light, reserve all the chairs with the pool staff every morning. The beach scene was extremely busy!!! I enjoyed meeting Tiger and being helped by him. He's very friendly, chatty and super focused about his work. He would set our chairs up with extra towels, brought us ice cold water and toys. He then later helped us to move when the sun left our area, and checked on us often. Reason why I put the spotlight on him is because he was helping all the other guests like this, tirelessly from morning to the late afternoon.

The room assigned was a Zen Suite 1035 and was quite lovely although overlooking the roof and parking lot. The ocean view beyond was excellent. The food in Nobu and Malibu Farms was quite excellent.

Now, the reality: The public areas are all very worn dirty, torn fabrics, filthy carpets, elevators, dirty floors. Not befitting a so-called 5 star hotel. The entire property inside and out was just unkempt. After check in, we were not advised that there is no turn down service or replacement of towels. The phone system was not working at all so one had to wait in long understaffed lines sharing a desk with a larger hotel, the Eden Roc, to find out we were not informed of the hotel Covid policies. The Booking.com breakfast add on was completely unknown tot he staff and there was no breakfast room the first day as the primary venue had been closed since Covid so a kiosk was set up in the lobby. The whole experience was weird and off-putting. I was advised that the management team had been replaced and the hotel was undergoing a serious change and perhaps, a name change. The worst thing that happened was that I had requested two hypo-allergenic pillows to be brought to the room while I went to dine at Nobu. The pillows were delivered but the next morning, my $900 Gucci sunglasses sitting on the desk next to my laptop were gone. We tore the room apart and no glasses were found so I reported this to security who advised the only person to enter the room was the person who delivered the pillows and they clocked the stay in the room for 40 seconds. It does not take 40 seconds to drop two pillows on the bed. I am profoundly disappointed in this venue and shall never return.

Generally yes, the Nobu rooms are outstanding. But the Eden Roc "suite" rooms in the tall tower have incredible views all of them and big balconies and are different but beautiful. For the most part the pools/etc. are the same. Malibu Farms restaurant is excellent.
