Easy to make booking over the phone with DM Mohammad who was very professional and courteous. Check in with Bonny who did a good job. room was clean and spacious with comfortable beds except the curtains which took us time to understand to close. Pool and water slide was a plus but the slide should be age limited, my son was about to be hit by a giant person. location is great with many food restaurants stores within a walk in distance. Last but not the least, continental breakfast was great and the breakfast workers are doing a great job.

The wheelchair accessible room (128) we stayed in was large and had a large bathroom with a spacious wheel in shower.
I would recommend the hotel for access and location. 10 min walk too food, A & W, White Spot and others. Walmart is also a few mins walk if you forgot to pack something
For someone transferring themselves, the bed was high. Forgot to measure

Rooms were in disrepair and bathrooms were moldy. The location is great for biking to town or to the mountains - the main reason for our stay and the staff was very accommodating with keeping our bikes safe. The pool with the big “twisty” slide is always a highlight for the kids.

Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear about the issues with your rooms. We would have addressed any of these concerns if we were given the opportunity to, we can't fix what we don't know about. The rooms are not in disrepair and we address issues once we know about them and actively have preventive maintenance schedule. We have full time maintenance staff for this reason. Please accept my apologies for any issues you experienced. I am glad your family enjoyed their stay overall.

Squamish sandman is a quick 35 min drive south from whistler along a stunningly picturesque highway, and is the perfect home away.

Whistler is noisy, rooms are tiny, staff are inattentive and there is an extra charge for everything from parking to breakfast to having your room cleaned. Totally opposite experience @ the sandman. Rooms are large and quiet,
Breakfast is free, parking is free, room cleaning is free, they have a pool hot tub and water slide and friendly staff available 24 hours a day - Leslie, Dave, Kyra & Mark were the dream team. Thanks for a great stay!

Shauna, John, Jason & Meg!

3 times were made to wait for the availability of our room. Front desk promising it to be ready in 15 to 30 min but unable to provide. Able to check-in after 2 hrs wait. While lobby is full of people they are unable to serve as well for failure to prepare rooms on time. Mentioning to the manger that the scenario is becoming unhealthy, his answer is 'it is our choice'. You asked us to wait because you cannot provide the rooms and blame us if the lobby is pack. What a way to treat a customer. When we were there, worth mentioning as well that the dining room was always full observing no 2.0m distance rule. I would say they are understaffed and just overbooked what they can handle. I find the manager unpleasantly rude

Dear rlepiten, thank you very much for your review and feedback, we value any feedback to help improve guest service and experience. As you are aware of the times we are facing with Covid19, and every day is always unpredictable. As with most businesses we had a major staff layoff and started bringing back staff as per business demand, however we have no indication of such sudden increase in business and cannot suddenly find more staff to cover all aspects, so this does stretch our staff and team to go above and beyond to make everything flow as best possible for guest experience. Unfortunately, as explained we also had a laundry equipment break down that day causing more back log. Once again, we are very sorry for the delays and inconvenience caused on your arrival, but I hope your stay was enjoyable. Please reach out to me so that I can invite you back for a night on me, to make up for any inconveniences. We would truly like you to experience our hospitality at its best :-) In regards, to breakfast room, we have signage and markings all over room, indicating social distancing best practices and also limited seating and spacing between tables and chairs to maintain best practices. We also rely on guests following these signs and markings to ensure best practices and safety. We look forward to inviting you back to enjoy a night and best experience. Thank you for choosing Sandman Squamish

The good for this hotel is a central location and a nice, new building. Our standard room was very rectangular but spacious and the quality of the furnishings and room itself were nice. It was also reasonably priced. The downside of the room is it had a very noisy air conditioner / heating unit in a corner of the room that woke me up intermittently. It would have also been nice to have some sort of screen sharing option on the TV as the channels offered were limited. The pool was large and the waterside above average. The hotter was also nicely hot. The pool, however, was kept at a low temperature that only the kids seemed willing to tolerate. I seriously question the hotels claims it is between 82 and 85. If the hotel was willing to heat the pool adequately it would be such a better experience. We found the common areas of the building were also cold. The breakfast was typical for a free breakfast being mostly inexpensive day-old items such as bread, bagels, and waffles. There were some apples and bananas but the bananas were not yet ripe and not edible. It's a nice building but you definitely felt the icy hand of a large corporation trying to reduce every possible input cost and that detracted from the experience.

Thank you Tony for your review. I am pleased you had a good stay with us. The pool is set to a mandated temperature to keep it safe. As a swimming pool, it is designed to be moved in, if its too hot we need more chemicals to keep it safe. Our breakfast offers high quality brand name products, including fresh fruit, waffles, bagels, yogurts, juice, croissants etc, we know we cannot please everyone with our offering but we do our best. I'm sorry you felt the icy hand of a corporation, that is not the typical feedback I get, we support our local community and offer excellent value in the Sea to Sky which most of our guest really appreciate. Thank you and all the best!

This unassuming hotel, on a dead-end street, in a really small town sandwiched between two epic international tourist destinations doesn't disappoint. Its an easy drive to the ski resorts, the rooms are huge, rates are reasonable, have a hot tub and indoor pool, free continental breakfast and really friendly staff who go that extra mile and do it without attitude or complaint. While all the staff we encountered were great, a special shout out to Kyra who made check in quick and simple, and was full of helpful suggestions, and to Dave who has got to be the most chipper graveyard shift worker I've ever encountered - and a great conversationalist.

Thank you Jason for your review and comments. I am delighted you had a great stay with us and you enjoyed all the hotels amenities. You're right, Squamish is in the middle of 2 epic destinations - Vancouver and Whistler - but in my opinion, the most epic is Squamish itself :). I have passed on my thanks to both Kyra and Dave for their great customer service and hospitality. Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences, it really makes a difference. Wishing you and your family Happy Holidays and a Excellent 2022! See you next time!

I stayed at the Sandman Hotel in Squamish August 2023 with two family members and everything about our stay was fantastic. The hotel was busy with two wedding parties yet the front desk staff accommodated our specific requests to ensure our comfort, the lobby atmosphere was welcoming and our room was clean beyond expectations. Thank you to the ladies at the front desk for making our stay a pleasant one and we will definitely be back next summer.

Love the location, and the staff. The pool is amazing, great for family fun. This hotel is very close to local restaurants and shops. This hotel is in the heart of Squamish where you can go hiking, rock climbing, biking, windsurf, go to many of the local lakes and go swimming, there are also many campgrounds to go explore. Amazing restaurants and the local shops in Squamish that you can't find anywhere else. Explore "The Chief", "Shannon Falls" or the amazing Gondola. What better place to stay than The Sandman Hotel.

I travel to Squamish for work and stay in Sandman twice a month. Front desk employees, Bonny and Raj in particular, know me and always greet me by name and make sure that check-in process is prompt and efficient. They always do their best to accommodate my needs and make sure I feel like home after a long work day.
Last time I stayed, Bonny upgraded me to stay in Executive suite and I was amazed how gorgeous and spacious it is, with two rooms and two bathrooms, one of which has a soaking tub and a shower cabin. Next time I will book it for my family.
The rooms are always clean, linen and towels are spotless. Pool, gym.. there is everything. Breakfast is great too.
By far, it's the best hotel in Squamish! Highly recommend.
