Clean, comfortable beds, hot shower and love no carpeting in the room. To help stop tracking of sand into room, we used a beach towel provided by the hotel as a rug. The distance to the beach is a very short walk on the dead-end road. The inn has a limited amount of beach chairs and umbrellas stored under the steps. We picked out 2 chairs and umbrellas and put them by our door. The umbrellas aren’t in the best shape, but propped up with your chair, gives you the needed shade. People who complained about outdated decor should go a block down and pay twice as much for the night. Beach Shell Inn is a great value and I will definitely be back my next time!!

This place has a pretty good location, just south of Times Square. Our room was very clean and tidy. Fresh towels were in the room and they were soft, not like the ones you usually get that are stiffand scratchy. From the moment we checked in, early I might add at no charge, we were greeted with a smile. I would recommend and would stay here again.

What a kind couple who runs this small property. It's great to be just a short walk to the beach. I found the pool comfortable too and nice for a late night dip. There are plenty of decent restaurants nearby and within a walking distance. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I needed to leave a few days earlier than planned. The owner very graciously offered me to direct the online travel agency to call him so he could authorize a refund for the unused nights of my non-refundable reservation. In my opinion, that amazing gesture proves how pleasant and accommodating the owners are. If I find myself heading back to the Fort Myers area, I'll most definitely consider staying here again.

We like it here. This was our 3rd stay. Very close to the beach. 1 mile to the pier. When the trolley is running you can go back and forth between the pier and the hotel for free. Nice pool. Owners were very nice. Priced right. Can't wait to go back.

My husband and I stayed here for one night on our honeymoon on our way to the Keys. We decided to return for our 5 year anniversary and are so glad we did. This hotel is a hidden gem. The rooms are quaint and have a cottage feel, making a perfect little getaway from the hustle and bustle of the world. The rooms are tucked away, off the main road lending to its coziness. I would highly recommend Beach Shell Inn for anyone looking for a peaceful, cozy getaway.

Our room looked nothing at all like the pictures. It was clean but definitely in need of upgrading. The vent was rusty, windows were dirty/dusty, and the linoleum bathroom floor was old and had black stains. There were stains on the throw blankets on the bed, cement surrounding the pool was patched in a haphazard way. It was also very loud outside our room. Location is NOT directly on the beach, but a short walk (and two other properties) away. The owners were VERY pleasant!!

My friend and I stayed for 4 days and had a fantastic stay. The owners are so friendly and helpful. They make sure that you are having a good time. This is an older hotel in the midst of renovation and it’s so comfortable. Perfect location to the beach and restaurants. Will definitely comeback!

The owner was very pleasant; however, the motel was musty and definitely in need of updating. The bathroom floor was old linoleum and had black stains, the windows were old and dirty, and there were stains on the throws on the bed. Sheets were clean and owner was very kind. Shower itself was new and clean, no bugs! Very close to the beach, which was nice. Room did not look anything like the pictures.

Small old Florida motel. VERY CLEAN! Such a treat from some chains. Beach just steps away. Convenient to Junkanoo with great sunsets and bartenders. The only reason not rated a 5 is the pool was closed the night we were here but it looked clean and inviting! We will definitely stay here again.

Rooms are small but clean. Nothing special. Not on the beach but less than a minute walk to a beautiful uncrowded beach. Nice pool and friendly environment. Short walk to stores and restaurants. Need new windows. If someone is outside your room you can hear everything they are saying. For the $ I'd go back.
