We checked into our room, saw it was infested with roaches, and did not stay. We knew when we booked that the Tahitian Inn is an older, no frills motel. We were not expecting fancy. But it has roaches. We walked into our room, #118, and immediately saw 4 roaches, crawling on the wall and floor. The room appeared clean, and we would have appreciated the room, location and reasonable price. But there were roaches! A total deal breaker for me. We were planning to stay 5 nights, over the new year's holiday. Cost was $551. My husband went to the owner immediately to say we couldn't stay due to the roaches and requested a refund. The owner would only refund $441. So he has $110 for us walking into and out of a roach infested room.

We have stayed here before so we knew what to expect. This is the closest motel to the Key West ferry. Long black hair in sink. I have short grey hair. Price is fair. No extras. Mask required to check in.

This motel is a good starting point if you need to be at 7 am on a ferry to Key West from Fort Myers Beach. The ferry port is just five minutes by car from the motel. My husband and me spent a single night there. This place is a bit old, but the room was very clean. We booked a two queen beds room for the price for one queen bed room and it was really good value for money. I will recommend this place for all potential travelers to the Key West!

Sucks, no wifi, can’t make any changes unless you call Booking.com to do so. Dirty room, not even a place to put clothes if you were staying for any length of time. Hard to understand the help and would rather not deal with a patron: plus side is a great local bar and grill with awesome hospitality, otherwise this is a definite bomb of a place

Found this motel by googling. Called and got the rates. Seemed reasonable. Went to the place and the owner was behind the counter. Nice man. .. Took us to the room to look it over. No pets. .. No smoking! Excellent. Accommodations were adequate. ... rates were good. Not a bad place to stay at If you are in a budget.

We booked this motel because it was withn our budget and close to the beach. When we arrived, the person at the front desk (I believe it was the owner) was very nice and helpful. He helped us with directions, recommendations for places to eat and general area information. The room was very clean and recently updated. Good location, although not on the beach (only 1.5 miles to it, the location was close to everything. It was on a waterway with some benches to sit on in the evening. All in all, I would definetly recommend this place!

$130 a night. Very old dirty dirty dirty outdated hotelNo where to put your luggage except filthy worn out furniture. Entire room was filthy. Do you not staying here.I had to rate it one because I couldn't use zero.

We stayed at the Tahitian Inn due to its close location to Punta Rassa boat ramp. The owner is a very nice guy from India who did not charge me for parking. He and his family run the hotel and try to keep it under control. The property and rooms are very basic but you cannot beat the rate - very affordable. Even though the hotel is located on a busy street, we did not hear a sound from outside during our stay. If you want to save money to spend elsewhere (restaurants, attractions, car rental, etc) you cannot go wrong with this place. But if you are very choosy, then you may not like this property. The owners do not speak English very well - you must be patient when talking to them. But they tried to do the best to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.

this place has a great location but needs so much help. we stayed because the price was the most reasonable and location is good. we has second floor end room overlooking water. it also overlooked the former now filled in pool and junk.
moldy shower curtain. couldn't have paid me to use the shower. no hot water in bathroom sink had to was up in sink in bedroom area. sink was peeling, everything needs an update.
the sheets at least were clean.
you can catch the trolly across the street to the beach. we walked but that does take awhile.

The reviews made this motel sound way better than what it actually is. The description online is also way off. I booked a
"Queen" room, But what I got was a twin size bed. When I went to the front office to ask for the room with the bed I paid for, he argued that all the rooms have the same size beds. 2 people barely fit comfortably. The man and woman in the office spoke extremely broken English and were quite rude in general. The general area is not very pleasant and there is heavy traffic all the time. Don't stay here. Save your money.

Hi Stephanie, There was a hairdryer. We had brought our own though which helped as it did not work well.
