Hello LuizCaeiro! Thank you for your review of your recent stay at the Home2Suites Fort Lauderdale Downtown. Since the hotel is located in a Downtown location, there is a charge for parking in our secured parking garage. There are other options for parking throughout the city with different price points as well. We hope you will give us another chance in the future!

I stayed at this hotel for 9 nights while my place was being repaired. I booked 2 rooms, one bedroom suite and a studio accessible suite for my mom. Both rooms were quite spacious and equipped with a small kitchenette, toaster, microwave and small fridge. Some glasses, dishes and dishwashing soap were also provided. Mattress was a bit too soft for my liking but it’s a matter of preference. The tiles in the bedrooms appeared to be dirty for a new hotel but I was told by an employee they were cleaned. Shame on Hilton for having used such cheap materials. It’s a duo concept hotel. Tru by Hilton is also part of the same building. On one side of the hallway are Tru rooms and the other are Home2Suites rooms which to be honest I found quite strange. Breakfast was simply horrible! I went to a different place for breakfast all 9 days I was there. It comprised of a to go bag that had a very hard bagel, boiled eggs, very sweet muffin and a small cream cheese. There was coffee, orange juice and some type of cranberry juice. Since Tru and Home2Suites are considered budget hotels, you will also encounter some interesting characters there to say the least. No turn down service and I had to request both rooms to be cleaned on my 5th day there. No one even attempted to come and ask if we had any trash which can lead to bugs in the room. I had to call the hotel desk twice on a Saturday night since some people in the room next door appeared to be having a party and playing very loud club music that kept me awake until 1:30 in the morning. Security was sent both times but the loud music continued after he left. Parking was another issue. Don’t expect to find any parking after 8 o’clock. You’ll find yourself double park as I wouldn’t recommend parking your cars in the street since the area appears not to be safe. Trust me, it’s worth paying the $20 or $25 the hotel charges for daily parking to make sure your car is secured. There’s a very good Greenwise market about 7 minutes drive from the hotel where you can find some good hot food and organic products that can save you on eating out every day and Las Olas was 5 minutes by car. Overall a very disappointed experience and I wished I had spent my $3,000.00 somewhere else. Do not recommend!!

Hello AlbeM! We are sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay at the Home2. We are pleased to announce that with Hilton and the CDC's guidance, we are now offering a hot breakfast buffet. Our housekeeping service is on a request basis to limit entry to guest rooms for the safety of both our guests and team members; we do understand this is an adjustment. As Covid regulations are relaxed, we can expect to see changes regarding housekeeping and an addition of valet parking. We value your feedback and will share this with our team. Thank you!

Me and 4 other of my friends (2 other girls and 2 boys) booked a last-minute spring break trip to Fort Lauderdale. The prices were cheap and the hotel looked great.

Upon arrival, we were given keys to the wrong room. We walk in and it REEKED of cigarette smoke. We went back down to the front desk, and they accommodated us right away. After getting into our second room, we decided to unload and walk somewhere to buy alcohol. We walked two blocks down the road and we were immediately grateful that we had two men with us. As we walked, we were cat-called by construction workers who just stared at us. After that experience, we decided that UBER would be the best route to go from there on out. Each uber we got in to asked us if we knew where we were staying and how dangerous it was. A few drivers offered to give us their numbers because they said other drivers in the area could take advantage of us. They also told us to make sure we order food and groceries and do not leave the hotel. Red flag. The hotel was only a 4 minute uber to the beach and Las Olas Blvd, but walking there takes you through some of the worst parts of Fort Lauderdale.

They do not do housekeeping due to covid, but you can call and request services. I called the second, third, and fourth day asking for towels and toilet paper. Nobody came, so we ended up using towels by the pool and tissues for tp. After calling 4 different times on the 4th day, they finally brought up toilet paper and two towels. I know they were short staffed, but it was still inconvenient.

Don't get it wrong, not everything about this hotel was bad. It was very clean, and was built 3 months ago. Comfortable beds, a kitchenette with silverware, plates and a dishwasher. The pool deck on the 5th floor was beautiful. It was modern, had comfortable chairs and a large chess board put into the grass. It had a pool bar with an amazing bartender named Barbara. The hours were very inconsistent, but when it was open she never failed to make us smile. The rest of the staff were accommodating and never gave us any issues except for the lack of services.

The main takeaway of this review should be; it is not a family hotel. There were lots of people staying there that did not make us feel safe and comfortable. We were hit on each day just laying at our chairs, people were constantly smoking weed on the pool deck, and when we asked children not to do cannon balls on top of us, their mother told us she was going to have her baby daddy kill us.

It is disappointing that this nice of a hotel is in such a horrible area.

I have to start by saying that this hotel has great front desk staff. The two wonderful front desk staff that tried to assist me were Alyssa and Tubo. There was no manager on staff for the weekend I was there I checked in February 11 checked out February 13. I was there because my husband is about to get major surgery he has stage four colon cancer I made the hotel aware of The situation prior to checking in. I asked for a stove top for my room due to the fact that my husband hast to have specific medication and tea. I was told that I would be provided with one when I checked in on February 11 Friday there was no stove top in my room at all. There was no coffee maker either there was no dishes or anything. This is not my first time staying at the homes to suites by Hilton Hotel. So knowing what is supposed to be set up in the room wasn’t there I was truly disappointed. I went to use the bathroom since I had quite a long drive while in the bathroom I noticed I was only provided with one set up for one person. As I looked around the kitchenette area to see if there were any utensils so my husband can eat is broth there was no utensils everything was in the dishwasher dirty they were lipstick stains on the dishes there was no tablet for the dishwasher left no sponge no dishwashing liquid at all in the room. Cleanliness especially nowadays with Covid is extremely important to me especially with my husband having cancer. All we wanted to do was have a good weekend before his surgery on Monday. And I told the front desk The next morning at 8 AM the situation I was told that there’s nothing that could be done I called back down to the front desk and made them aware that all my dishes were dirty not once was I offered housekeeping service to come to my room and clean the dishes or even provide me with proper set up for towels these are things that I have experienced before while staying at the Hilton. I had to get my card key re-set five times every time I want to use my card key to get into my room it wouldn’t work every time I use my card key to press a button in the elevator to get to my floor it stopped working this is a major inconvenience. Hotel normally these things would be addressed and they wasn’t I feel that I should be reimbursed for at least one of my nights. Due to the inconvenience. When I was told by the front desk manager that I he can only provide me with a 15% refund after the ordeal I went through I just wasn’t happy.

Imagine 8 days into a 10 day stay. Your room hasn't been cleaned once. So you call down to the front desk and asked that it be cleaned. You go out for the day and return at 10:30 pm to find that your room has still not been cleaned and you need towels. The next morning you wake up and your spouse notices that you are out of toilet paper.

You call down to the front desk, but you just hear "Front Desk, Please Hold. click". You wait 2-3 minutes then decide it's faster for you to go to the front desk and get some. So you hop in the elevator, go down 19 floors and wait your turn in line.

While waiting someone cuts in front of you. You motion to the Front Desk Agent that you were here and waiting first, they oblige your request and ask how they may help you.

You ask "How often do they service their rooms?" They respond, "Upon Request". You ask "Then, I would like to request it to be cleaned everyday." They respond: "It's can only be done every other day". You look puzzled and reply "But didn't you just say it was upon request, so I request it to be done everyday". You look over to the guest that previously cut you in line and they smile and shake their head in agreement and solidarity. The front desk agent acknowledges this interaction and obliges my request.

Now you ask the real question that made you travel 19 floors to the front desk.
"My room is out of toilet paper, and someone is using the bathroom right now. Can I get some toilet paper?"

They respond "House keeping will bring it to your room?" You respond: "Can't you just go and get me some?" "sir, House keeping will bring it to your room?"

You think to yourself that Housekeeping was supposed to clean the room yesterday, but never showed.

So then you become agitated because this front desk agent clearly doesn't understand the gravity of what it feels like to not have a method of wiping ones own butt. So you ask "So if I come over to your house and I am taking a sh*t and I run out of toilet paper you really won't go and get me some?" More annoyed now they reply "Sir, housekeeping will bring it to your room"

So you then you take out your camera and start recording and asking them "Why can't you go and get me toilet paper?"

The above is a 100% true and accurate story of my stay at the Home2 Suites and I will post the video of the interaction I have recorded in the coming days. Hilton corporate already has a copy and a case number has been opened.

The icing on the cake was being asked to leave by the front-desk manager, being told you will be completed refunded for your stay only to wake up the next day and see that only one day was actually refunded.

The front desk manager never once looked at the security footage and declined invitations to look at my video, however said I encroached on their employees personal space.

This hotel itself was great! My first impression when they texted me and allowed me to text back, i thought that was a nice touch!! I stayed here for one night after our cruise. However, check-in was fast and easy (and i got a very early check in, I'm a diamond member), and the front desk woman (Fatina) was nice, however she had a counterpart with her who's name i didnt get but she was a black girl with braids that didn't seem enthused, barely smiled and gave us wrong information twice when we asked her some questions later on in the day so we just avoided her completely! We had a pool view room . Everything was clean, the bed was comfy but our hand soap and shower gel was empty so i would advise housekeeping to check those bottles when cleaning, also our air conditioner wouldnt stay on but it was still cool so i didnt bother to switch rooms. The hotel is near a lot of restaurants and things to do so we took an uber to lunch. If you rent a car, be prepared to pay for valet or get charged for parking. It has a lot of instagrammable seating and décor to take pics in front of. I love their huge chess set outside and board games inside. I didn't get to utilize the pool due to the weather but the pool bar was nice and the bartender was sweet.. I would definitely stay here again when i'm in the area.

Great things:
Huge room with tons of storage and a really well equipped kitchenette. Full size fridge-freezer and a dishwasher. Shower was great, absolutely huge! Comfy bed with lots of pillows, and a big tv. Breakfast is great considering ot was included- lots of fresh options like omlettes pancakes waffles. Great gym and lovely pool area with lots of seating and towels.

Could have been better:
1. Our bedding absolutely stank. The smell of B.O on the duvet/ comforter was awful and we had to ask for a full fresh set of all bedding items. The duvet smelled so bad it had rubbed off on the sheets (which we were seriously praying had been changed). When the bedding arrived we had to change it ourselves.
2. The surfaces in the room really need a wipe down. Most cupboard doors and bathroom door were pretty dirty with splashes and spill marks.

After a horrific night stuck in FLL during flooding, we were able to find a room and Bailey couldn’t have been more helpful. She found us a room that was ready upon our arrival, suggested we have a bit of breakfast while it was still available and told staff to avoid our room so that we could get some much needed rest. Will continue to be loyal to the Hilton brand. Thank you Bailey!

We selected this hotel after our airline cancelled our flight at 4:50 a.m. on March 28th and provided a link to hotels and car services which would be paid for by the airline. Upon arriving we were greeted by a very nice lady who said that they had a room available, but not until after 7:30 a.m. She also invited us to enjoy their breakfast and store our luggage while we waited. After a Hilton style breakfast we are used to we checked in, swiped our credit card for incidental charges and was provided our room key. Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was very helpful in directing us where to walk and not walk especially in the dark in the hotels area. We did select more water and a soda which was charged to the room. When we checked out the next day we had a bill for $50, the drinks and taxes, plus a second bill for $50. I challenged the staff and was told it was the incidental fee and would be reversed. I did ask why 2 bills then and they shrugged their shoulders and again said the incidental fee. Upon arriving home and checking my credit card charges only one $50 was reversed. I contacted the hotel and was told it was an early check in fee, which I was not made aware of. The airline should have been billed and not me. I asked to speak with a manager who said he would investigate and get back to me by days end. He never did call back and I have left a voice message a second time for him. As a Hilton Honors member and sole user of Hilton hotels, I have never been brushed off or not advised of proper billing before.

This is my 3rd time staying at this property. The location is very walkable, close to restaurants, and grocery stores. The rooms are well-maintained. This is clearly because the new head of housekeeping, Diane, she is through and we felt very well taken care of with a leak found in our room.

In my original review in Feb 2022 I gave it 4 stars, however for this last trip the front desk seems to not understand how their computer system works. Without getting into the nitty gritty details I want to say that the management worked with me to remedy their error, but because of the additional time required to fix THEIR MISTAKE I can't give them anything higher than an average rating.

It's a nice property and the pool area is great. I recommend if you stay there to double check your bill and never be afraid to insist on speaking to a manager.
