Tonya (owner) and Carolyn (manager) will make you feel right at home! Tropic Isle Beach Resort is a “home away from home” and only a block away from the beach! With beach chairs, the use of an on-site washer and dryer, outdoor grill and personal kitchenette as well as a pool-this property is clean, safe and within walking distance of many restaurants. I stayed 8 days and traveled alone and as a solo woman traveler I felt safe and also welcome from the moment I spoke to Tonya until the moment I left. If finding a place to spend the day lounging by a pool reading or sitting on the beach and playing in the water is on your agenda with plenty of choices as well as variety of restaurants or simply making your own meals for a long weekend or month-long stay or more, Tropic Isle Beach Resort is the place to go! I highly recommend the property and will be back as soon as I can!

My son and his family flew to visit us in New Port Richey, Then we all went to Deerfield Beach to visit my oldest son in Boynton Beach. This motel was very nice, extremely clean, and the rooms were very spacious. We all also had nice kitchenettes in our rooms with dishes, pots and pans, etc. The courtyard and pool are right in front of the guest rooms which make it nice. It is also just a walk to the beach from there, and they also have beach chairs you can use at the beach and even have beach towels in the room. There is also a nice built in barbecue grill. The owners were very friendly. I highly recommend this motel whenever you need to be in Deerfield Beach. We will definitely be staying there anytime we go visit our son in Boynton Beach.

Topic Isle is a gem. Many of its guests have been coming for years for long-term stays. This was our second year. After the pure enjoyment of a one-week stay last year, we came for two weeks. Imagine our delight when we found "our" room had had a full interior update since our last stay! The kitchen, bed, chairs, TV, bathroom, outdoor seating … all well equipped, comfy, and in nice condition. We enjoyed sleeping with the windows open on cool breezy nights.
The motel provides beach chairs/towels and washer/dryer/clotheslines for guest use. The pool area is well maintained. There is a table for 4 with umbrella and chairs in the courtyard and we have used this to have "company" join us for a carryout meal.
Carolyn is friendly and makes every effort to be responsive to guest questions and concerns. She was of great help to me.
Needless to say, we're booked for next year!

Lisa K wrote a review Dec 2021
I arrived at the resort Thanksgiving Day in the afternoon around 4:00pm after taking a 6:00am flight from NY. There was no one available in the office to check me in. I was told by a guest that I could call the resort's number on my reservation from Expedia and they would give me a code to get into the room. That guest said she got into her room that way. I called the number numerous times and left a bunch of messages all I got was the resort's voicemail. I left my name and number and said I was trying to check in. I did not get a call back. I eventually called Expedia after not being able to get in touch with the resort. Expedia then tried to reach someone at this resort. They were unable to reach them. Since we were not able to get in touch with them after I was waiting and waiting in front of the resort, I was sent to another hotel but that was not right away. I was delayed going to my mother's house for Thanksgiving dinner for hours because of the rudeness of this establishment. I eventually received an email from this resort but did not get it until I returned home to NY days later. The message from the resort said they tried to contact me and probably had a wrong number it was almost 9:30pm when they left the message on Thanksgiving night through Expedia, the day was almost over, unacceptable. That makes no sense when I called and told them my cell number over and over again and they never called me back. Expedia did send me somewhere else not far from this place, but I was charged for parking even know they said I would not have to pay anything else for the room and they would pay for anything extra. At Tropic Isle I was supposed to have free parking. My experience was not a good one being that I ended up paying more unnecessarily. I have mentioned this to Expedia and still have not got a response about the extra payment for parking. I do not feel this resort or Expedia handled this situation in a professional manner.

Lisa, We called you at the number that you yourself, provided on your booking the day before your reservation as we do with all of our guests to see what time you would be checking in to the hotel, and received no response. We texted you at the number you provided to Expedia at 10:21AM on the morning of your check in day, which was Thanksgiving, with your room number and door code, as we did with all of our other guests that checked in to the hotel successfully with no issue that day, since we did have shortened office hours, again something that you would have known if we could have gotten a hold of you- again with no response from you. After I saw that you did not respond to my call or text, I again called you and got your voicemail. We called you, texted you, and left you voicemails multiple times the day before your reservation, and on the day of your reservation, at the number we had for you and you did not respond. I did receive a voicemail from you from a completely different phone number on Thanksgiving, however when I tried to call that number back when I received the voice message, I again, could not get a hold of you yet another time. That is when we resorted to messaging you through Expedia that night, in yet another attempt to see if you got into your room okay. By that time, we did receive notification from Expedia that they would be relocating you. Our small business was actually charged a relocation fee by Expedia for moving you, but they promptly reversed the charge when I sent them the multiple screenshots of text messages, phone logs, and Expedia messages that I had of us trying to reach you on the phone number you gave us. If you would like to send me an email to manager@tropicislebeachresort.com I would be happy to provide that information to you as well. We have a 4.5/5 rating on Tripadvisor, and a 4.8/5 rating on Expedia for the atmosphere, guest experience, cleanliness, and great customer service that we provide to our guests as you will see in other reviews that we have gotten, and continue to get. Happy Holidays! Carolyn Manager Tropic Isle Beach Resort

We were regulars at the Tropic Isle for the last 16 years. However, due to new management, rates increased almost 120% independent of season (normally rates are lower during low season). Even though renovations were made, this increase is not justified also weaker economy. Several couples we know and who also came to the "old" Tropic Isle every year will not come back and have chosen or will choose other motels nearby. After talking to the manager, I had the impression, she didn't really care if the "old" guests would come back or not.

It is difficult to respond to a review from someone that didn’t actually stay or experience the resort but simply looked at the pricing and compared it to what they had paid 4 years earlier. The resort is not the same resort that existed 4 years ago. Neither are prices for anything on this planet the same as they were 4 years ago. The US is experiencing 40+ year high inflation. Everything we need to run the hotel costs more. This plus the fact that the new owners invested nearly a million dollars renovating the resort has resulted in rate increases. In simple terms, the resort is a different calibre resort and the costs to run it are much higher. However, our rates are extremely fair and reasonable and actually better than the other surrounding hotels based on value received. In fact, if you search TripAdvisor for hotels in DFB, we generally rank number 1 in terms of value. So we would have loved to have hosted you so you could experience the value vs seeing a post for you about our rates without you actually staying or experiencing our offering.

Small court yard hotel just a block from the Deerfield Beach. Staff very accommodating; strong WiFi; room included small kitchenette with basic items; coffee maker in room (bring your own coffee mix); free parking; beach chairs provided as a courtesy; and beach is well maintained by the city.
Just a 7 minute walk to a cluster of restaurants and bars along the shore line heading north bound.

Perfect Stay. Our stay at Tropic Isle Beach Resort was perfect. It's just steps from the beach and a short walk to the Pier. The rooms are  clean, bed linen and towels all clean. Parking available. The pool is heated to a pleasant temperature. The garden is very well maintained and there is a   barbecue grill available for guests. The Managers, Tonya and Caroline,  are extremely attentive and responded promptly to our requests. We asked Tonya  to change our mattress and she had a brand new one taken to our room  the same day! Thanks Tonya! We will be back for sure! We  recommend Tropic Isle Beach Resort.

We need a place to stay in Deerfield beach for me to attend treatment at a Healing Center. Tonya and her staff went above and beyond to accommodate me from checking in late, to changing rooms, to having our flight canceled at the last minute and needing to stay an extra night. If you are looking for something clean, with a friendly staff that goes above and beyond this is the place for you. It is super close to the beach and has a lovely pool. There is even a room that has beach chairs and umbrellas and leftover items donated in case you need something. I can’t recommend this place enough and we will definitely be back. Thank you Tonya and staff!!

This hotel is located on the BEACH side of A1A on Deerfield Beach!
It's a short walk to beautiful Deerfield Beach!
They have a beautiful pool too, with lounge chairs, tables and a BBQ.
Beach chairs and beach towels are provided as well!
The Rooms have full kitchens, cable TV (inc HBO!) and Wi-Fi, all for a very fair price!

This is now my GO-TO spot on Deerfield Beach!
The staff always make sure that I have everything I need.
They really DO care about making my stay comfortable.
There is even a laundry machine here!!
It's a 5 minute walk to the Deerfield Beach pier and lots of restaurants and shops.

I have stayed at many hotels, motels and resorts on the beach.
I highly recommend Tropic Isle Beach Resort!

We totally enjoyed our 4 day stay at Tropic Isle. The newly renovated rooms are lovely. They're modern, beachy chic and quite large. Our unit had a fully stocked kitchenette with a full size refrigerator. From the outside, it looks like a typical A1A motel but inside its charming. Everything is freshly painted and spotlessly clean.. The beds are comfortable. There's plenty of hot water and good water pressure. They supply large, fluffy towels, as well as beach towels and beach chairs. Wifi and TV service were great. Carolyn, the Manager, was extremely pleasant and accommodating.
We definitely would recommend staying here and plan to return the next time we're in the area.
