The people assisting us were very accommodating even really late at night when we arrived (we came from Manila by car). Food's good with HUGE servings. Salt water pool was clean and swimming was such a treat (I was told they drain and replenish the salt water everyday). Parking is not a problem at all. I generally enjoyed my stay.

Will come back again to see the Mayon Volcano because we weren't able to see it during our stay because of the bad weather.

It is not Misibis level luxury, if that’s what you’re expecting for but you will get your money’s worth (still wont break the bank unlike misibis) but this is a comfortable, full-service resort that you can escape to. Located conveniently 20-30 min from downtown Legazpi City, it’s perfectly situated to get a full view of the ocean and of course the Mayon Volcano. You can even enjoy some water activities at the resort like snorkeling. Ask the manager about things to do or where to go or even about hosting an event, you will be pleasantly pleased.

Dropped by for a quick business meeting and what I immediately noticed was how quiet and serene the resort was. I did not even know that the hotel was fully booked because there were barely any noises usually characteristic of a busy hotel.

I think the resort is best for young professionals looking to really relax and take a break from professional and/or academic commitments. It still has good wifi and data reception so you are still reachable in case of urgent concerns but who would want to stay connected when the view is this nice.

The resort also offers fantastic views of Mayon when the skies are clear and it isn’t cloudy.

My friends and I used to like coming to this place until they changed their manager. She is quite rude and has this attitude like customers should bow down to her. There was one instance when we she refused our request of having our cooked whole chicken chopped into bite sizes. She complained with a rude voice saying we cant have it sliced on their table as it will leaves scratches and that we should pay extra. Another instance when we were checked in and occupied more than 3 rooms & we brought snacks for swimming & wanted to charge us extra. This resort used to have really great customer service. Sad to say I dont think we will consider going back because of our recent experiences.

The staff and the owners would go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable. Make sure to book the rooms with the view of the ocean.

Food is also good! We also go there for random lunches or dinners with friends, just to hang out and chill by the beach. Would definitely go back!

I really enjoyed my stay. Rooms are nice and clean. Decent food - must try pancit and fried chicken! Resort is not far from the city. I would highly recommend for leisure or business traveller on budget. Staff is friendly and helpful. Parking is free!

Had a really memorable stay in this resort. The staff were so friendly and accommodating to my requests. The room that I stayed in was comfortable. Big serving and tasty meals as well. Their pool was just scenic! Would definitely stay there again when I go back to Bicol. Highly recommended!

A general word of advice first - avoid the Bicol area of The Philippines in August and September unless you like wind and rain.
I stayed here for a very soggy 8 days in Aug 2011, during which time the area was hit by 2 typhoons and it rained non stop for the whole of my stay. I can't blame the weather on the hotel though, and to be fair to the staff they were very helpful at recommending things to do in the rain.
The resort itself was very nice, with well manicured borders and gardens, the staff were all very friendly, but then again there were no other guests there as it was typhoon season. The restaurant was very good with very good food and at reasonable prices.
The beach is non existant, they have a raised artificial beach with approx 5 mm sand covering a concrete slab. If the tide goes out, the local beach is rocky and covered in a brown muddy sludge. However, if you don't mind travelling, I was told there are decent sand beaches on the nearby islands?
I moved rooms a couple of times, they were OK, but nothing special, fairly small with dated bathrooms and either no window or very tiny windows.
Overall, for the money, the rooms and resort were adequate, but nothing special. Unless I had to go back to the area, I wouldn't. In my opinion Palawan, Bohol and Boracay have far more to offer a tourist than the Bicol region.

This place is just one ride away from where we live, and is 20 minutes car drive so it's a quick escape if we want to enjoy the beach.

The thing with Sto Domingo, though is that the beach is not as nice as all the other farther beaches in Bicol like Caramoan or Sorsogon. But Cost Palmera has a very cool idea of building a pool where the source of water is the sea water! So you get to enjoy the natural beach without actually dipping into the sand. (Seriously, I am not a fan of Sto. Domingo beach, although I heard there are nice beaches beyond Calayucay.)

Room: We love that the rooms have flat screen TV with cable, clean CR, clean bedsheets, and clean room. I couldn't complain about the accommodation. It's not superb but it delivers more than what's expected.

Service: The crew is super helpful. We called them up to cook food at 2am and yes they are available 24/7. They are all very polite, too, and know how to handle guests well.

Food: The food is okay, not really cheap but that's to be expected in a beach resort. Each meal is about 150 pesos. Drinks are available. Beer are available as well as other liquors but it's a shame that they do not have cocktails. :)

My family and I stayed at Costa Palmera for 7 nights. We had a nice time during our stay, staff are friendly and accommodating. We stayed in the pool side residence which we had our own private pool + spa which was cleaned everyday. The view from rooms doorstep was great facing the ocean you can also see the tip of Mt.Mayon from the pool which is great. Not much to do in this area as town was about a 30 min taxi ride away which kind of means once your there you are confined to the resorts grounds. The beach wasnt the best but your only a 5 min kayak ride to a nice sandy beach, Snorkeling was nice. The food was ok but need to add more to the menu and also have more things available thats on there menu. Overall we enjoyed our stay..not to bad good for value
